Jan 6, 2012

I have the BB 9650 with OS 6.0. I've been trying to sync my Calendar via my BB Desktop, but it isn't working because it says that I need to Turn Off the Wireless Sync function. I tried to followed the below instructions as indicated but after I click Options, steps 3,4,5, and 6 are not available. In the contact list, a calendar, the task list, or the memo list, press the 2. Click Options3. To synchronize calendar entries, click a calendar.4. Change the Wireless Synchronization field to Yes.5. Press the menu Key 6. Click Save
Sync with Outlook is not working. So, updated to version 6.0 and keep getting directed to an options menu and told to "enable wireless syncronization" but there is no such option that I can find anywere. Wasted the day so far...
My blackberry sprint curve 8330 is paired with blue tooth on our apple imac. I can transfer address book. I can not sync my calendar. I go to calendar i am using and press menu, but it won't let me turn on wireless sync? It only gives me the option of NO. What do I do now?
I am trying to sync my calendar with my outlook, but in desktop software under organizer it says calendar "not installed".My model is curve 8520 and ver is 4.6.1.314
I have recently bought a Blackberry Curve 8520.My problem is connecting to yahoo calendar/ task list/memo pad/ address book. Each time I try to synchronize I get back the message "connection to the yahoo server was lost".I am using the latest version of the yahoo and blackberry software. I am sure I am not the only user trying to sync PC and Blackberry information.
I have just recieved a replacement and successfully completed all necessary transfers except for one thing. I cannot synchronise Outlook calendar or tasks properly. I am asked to go to the device, go to options, and turn off wireless snc. Problem is, there the options menu does not have a box for wireless sync.
I want to push my outlook 2010 contacts to my BES enabled Torch 9810 on AT&T running 7.0 Bundle 1355(v7.0.0.261 Platform 5.0.0.469).When I go into Desktop Manager 6.1.0.35 it says my calendar and Address book are syncing wirelessly. Nothing I've tried gets Desktop Manager to recognize that I've turned off wireless synchronization.
I've tried going to Messages->Menu->Options->Email Reconciliation and clearing the Wireless Reconcile checkbox. I do the same thing in Desktop->Menu->Options->Email Reconciliation and clearing the Wireless Reconcile checkbox.Other posts on the internet talk about going into the contacts application, going to options and shutting off wireless synchronization, however I think this is for other devices. There is nothing in there about wireless synchronization.
A few weeks ago there was a software update to BlackBerry Desktop which now precludes me from synching the new Contacts from my Outlook on computer to the device (Torch9810).
I have tried unsuccessfully to turn off wireless snchronization but this device doesn't have that option. I went to Contacts --> Options --> Synchronization but the only alternative there is to uncheck AT&T Address Book Automatic Synchronization.
It doesn't import new Contacts either way (checked or not). Used to before the software update I relunctantly downloaded. But not now.
I have my gmail account set up on my iphone 4 and I noticed that if I go to: Settings -> Mail, Contacts and Calerndars -> choose my account.
There is an option to sync my calendar. I assume this syncs my calendar items from my iphone with my google calendar? How does that work? When does it sync? When I dock my phone to sync with my PC or does it sync over the air? Does it work well? When I enabled it. It asked if I wanted to keep the data from my local iphone calendar. I don't want to lose any data so I said yes then it said that this would likely cause duplicate data. Whats the deal there? It would be cool if my calendar data synced in a smooth way with my google calendar but I would just like some additional information so I am sure I know what I am doing here.
I have upgraded my Neo V to ICS, and after upgradation, I am not able to sync my FB events and birthdays with in-built calendar. In fact, I am not getting the option "sync calendar" in facebook inside xperia application. PS I do not want procedure to sync contacts with FB.
im on o2 with a bb curve 8520 and im trying to update to os5 i dont have a data cable so was looking to update through the wireless update feature.I know this can be done as i have read web pages and seen vids but it doesnt work for me it says no updates available. I spoke to the rubbish cs at 02 who told me it isnt possible to wireless update your os on a bb curve 8520.
I dont know why an appointment I entered on the Blackberry last week wont sync in the usual way to outlook. The appointment was on 21st June. Also an appointment I entered on Outlook calander last week, also for the 21st June wont sunc on the Blackberry.
Thus the BB Curve 8520 can't detect wireless from laptop? Because I try to share my wi-fi using connectify. It seems the 8520 can't detect but my iPhone can detect it.
I have blackberry 8520 I have trouble with wireless coverage indicators signal show x , I been try remove battery and search network manual nothing up on network provider, I had this blackberry 8520 brand new is only 8 months old, get the signal back?
Need to turn off wireless synch in my Contacts-followed the BB instructions-Can't find the Wireless Synchronization field to change or clear. Desperately need to psych COntacts in BB with PC as I have many duplicates.
I can't turn off wireless syncing on my Curve 9370 so that I can sync using the Blackberry Desktop software. The directions given suggest going to the Calendar application and/or Contacts application on my phone and "press the Menu key then Options and then change the Wireless Synchronization field to No." But, that is not one of the options in either of the applications.
I backed up all the data from my Bold and now i can't get all my contact details from my PC. It tells me to turn off the wireless sync on my Curve, although I'm following what it says, the options I'm supposed to see aren't there!
Facebook events are not appearing on my calendar and the option to sink them is now greyed out. I have already tried reinstalling facebook and it didn't make a difference.
My 8520 was working fine last night but the battery was down to 10% charge.
Charged the battery up and phone worked fine and I turned it off before going to bed.
The phone turned on fine this morning and was showing a full charge. I did turn it off when I got to work and when I went to turn it back on when I went to lunch I got nothing. The LED glows briefly and faintly when I try to power the phone on.
I tried hooking to my car charger but with the same results.
Using Desktop Manager to syncronise. Somehow the wireless synchronisation of the address book has been turned on. I want to turn it off again. all it tells me is I can turn it on or off.
Has an update been made available to os5.0.0.681 to allow us to add to contacts from unknown sms senders?Tired of doing it the long way around when I have at least 30 business enquiries hitting my phone all day.
One of our users has Outlook contacts with multiple phone numbers (work, mobile etc.).His Blackberry is only synching the primary "work" phone number.we use wireless sync, on a BES.Some of his contacts appear to have come across with multiple numbers, but some not.
I recieved my Curve 8520 6 days ago and I am still waiting on my service provider contacting me about the Blackberry Tariff HOWEVER when setting up my phone using the Wizard Setup I did not have two options for the email setup, only Enterprise Email Activation...I have never had one, this is my first Blackberry. How do I apply the other option of Add An Email Address? Or does this mean that the phone has been used by someone else (even though it was bought from my service provider "brand new"), or a fault has arisen? What can be done?
Okay, I got a new Blackberry Curve 8530, and it's the first Blackberry I've had. I changed the style of my SMS messaging from bubbles to stripes, and now it won't change back. I can go into the options, and change it and save the changes, but it stays the same. It will even say that it's set to bubbles, but it doesn't change the look of it. I know it's not a huge deal, but it bothers me, and I was wondering if it's a user error, or something is up with my Blackberry.
I just got the Curve 9300. I can't seem to sync the contacts and calendar with my Mac's BB Desktop Manager. It shows the message, "... turn off wireless synchronization by opening Address Book on the device... etc." There isn't such an option available.
