Jan 26, 2010I started out with the problem that I cannot use internet or receive text/bbm/emails on my phone. I called Bell's tech support, and they had me download the new OS (which I had) and if that didn't work, use the security wipe.So, I did that.Now that my bold 9700 has been reset to the factory settings, I am trying to add my hotmail account back onto it so I can add my bbm contacts. However, when I try to go to the "email set up" my ONLY option is to add a work email account with the BES. Not at all what I want.As a side note, I also noticed that the "wireless update" option is now missing from the options menu. Also, my bb browser goes to the Bell mobile portal instead of the old homepage. Not a major issue, but just noticed the differences.

Sep 19, 2011I want to push my outlook 2010 contacts to my BES enabled Torch 9810 on AT&T running 7.0 Bundle 1355(v7.0.0.261 Platform 5.0.0.469).When I go into Desktop Manager 6.1.0.35 it says my calendar and Address book are syncing wirelessly. Nothing I've tried gets Desktop Manager to recognize that I've turned off wireless synchronization.
I've tried going to Messages->Menu->Options->Email Reconciliation and clearing the Wireless Reconcile checkbox. I do the same thing in Desktop->Menu->Options->Email Reconciliation and clearing the Wireless Reconcile checkbox.Other posts on the internet talk about going into the contacts application, going to options and shutting off wireless synchronization, however I think this is for other devices. There is nothing in there about wireless synchronization.

Nov 22, 2012I tried to do a search to see if maybe someone else hasn't posted this before - can't seem to find it. I recently upgraded to a BB 9360 and am with Vodacom in South Africa.First thing I did upon receiving the phone was set it up nicely and then WANT to change the Mobile Network options for Network mode from 3G to 2G only but alas, the only options open to me are 3G & 2G or 3G.Now, I'm a paramedic in South Africa and my 9780 Bold's battery lasts an entire shift (12 hours!) but that's with the 2G ONLY option.So obviously I'd like to have this feature back on my 9360!!!I can't afford to go out and buy new batteries!

If is not a problem I can tell you that I never see the option on my blackberry offer me to create an account or add an account on the BB only says in email setups this " I want to use a work email acc with a BB Enterprise Server." that is the unique option that appear on the phone. Jun 20, 2010I have a Tour & did an OS upgrade through Wireless Update. I had 3 folders in Contacts(top of each contact had three different sync references). Looks like there is 2 of the folders and missing one. How can I set up Blackberry Desktop to sync with one of the missing folders and just get the contacts that that folder or "sync" description?I guess I need to know where and how to find the one folder as well.I do not know if folder is right term. On my contacts the top says "Synchronize Using: Unknown" or Synchronize Using: Desktop". I know there was a third and can not remember the heading.I just need those contacts in that sync.Hopefully I am communicating this correctly.
