Aug 25, 2012So, I've always been on the stock GB rom it shipped with and had no issues. I decide to update to ICS but since the update doesn't show up in PC companion or Update Service or OTA, I get flashtool and the stock .431 ftf and flash my mini pro (SI 1249-0751) to ICS (and also plug in a fresh new 32GB microSDHC card to celebrate). A bit laggy, crashes of the contact viewer when searching throught the dialpad, but that's okay, I can use a different launcher (Zeam) and dialer app (Dialer One).But when I open the camera app and try to take a picture with the front camera ...... there's no option. It's gone.
Another camera app, no front camera.Skype recognises only the rear camera. No front camera.I open the service menu (*#*#SERVICE#*#* i.e *#*#7378423#*#*) and test the secondary camera, and it says "This device does not support the function". The primary works fine. All other supported features work fine. Light sensor (next to the front cam) responds too. (But the Proximity switch doesn't. Not sure if it should. Perhaps that could hint at a hardware problem with the connections from the bottom half to the top slider part.)
I scout the forums and find that there's some some strange relationship between the SD card and the front camera for the Ray (or some other device) . With the old SD card, still no luck.I downgrade to GB. Still not working. Front cam missing.I unlock the bootloader and install a custom rom (CyanogenMod 9.0.0 Stable mango).Still not working. Front cam missing.I reinstall GB, relock the bootloader in the hope of an OTA update and do finally get one (to ICS). I update it. Still not working. Front cam missing.I don't think it's (gulp) hardware. There hasn't been any drop onto a hard surface.

Jul 22, 2011I've just re-updated my X10 Mini to see if it would run any smoother. Since then I cannot access the Sony Ericsson sync. I've tried adding the account in settings > Accounts & sync > Add account > Sony Ericsson sync, it goes to the Sont Ericsson login screen and will not go past that after I have enterewd my details, or5 it redirects me to the login to the website dashboard. I'm getting no opportunity to authorise the account and now I cannnoot sync my contacts as I don't use the Google account for that.

Feb 12, 2012I just noticed that my calendar was not syncing with my Google calendar, and went in to settions>accounts and noticed that the sync brower (which was new to me) had stalled and turned the sync circle "red". I then shut off sync browser and rebooted a couple times and my calendar is now synced. Seems that Google is adding feattures as don't recall seeing sync browser.Just curious, is there a webpage that documents or advises updates to this device so that I don't scratch my head each time? The "Apps" do a great job of advising changes, sure would be nice to see changes in the OS.

I recently upgraded to a BB 9360 and am with Vodacom in South Africa.First thing I did upon receiving the phone was set it up nicely and then WANT to change the Mobile Network options for Network mode from 3G to 2G only but alas, the only options open to me are 3G & 2G or 3G.Now, I'm a paramedic in South Africa and my 9780 Bold's battery lasts an entire shift (12 hours!) but that's with the 2G ONLY option.So obviously I'd like to have this feature back on my 9360!!!I can't afford to go out and buy new batteries!

I have done some reading and see that I need to downgrade to the previous bundle, but I do not have the options on my Bold 9900 as described by most of these support forums. Thus being: On the Home screen or in a folder, click the Options icon. Click Device > Software Updates.If you recently updated your BlackBerry Device Software, to return to the previous software version, press the key > View Result > Downgrade.To downgrade to an earlier software version, scroll to a software version that the icon appears beside. Click Perform Downgrade. Follow the instructions on the screenI do not have the View Result option.

When I create a new message, in the messaging menu, I don't have the option to create a MMS message. All the options I have are ''message (sms) / audio message / avatar sms / e-mail''. No signs of MMS creation option. I tried to uninstall the ''avatar sms'' software to check if the MMS menu would appear but still nothing. I've check the MMS settings and all the settings are ok, but still nothing in the messagin menu to create a MMS.

Jan 26, 2010I bought my nokia n900 around 10 days back, works absolutely fantastic, gives me atleast 14-15hrs or battery life. yesterday i installed a couple of applications like MYMENU and MYTUBE. i checked it then and there and did not find it very good. so i uninstalled it. after that i cannot find 'MORE' option which is at the right bottom of the menu screen. dont know what to do know. even if i tap on the empty space at the right bottom it comes up to my dashboard.

However, I am receiving read receipts when sending email from the Blackberry, and the settings to enable/disable the receipts are entirely missing from the handheld. OS is version 5.0 (highest version available from my provider).
