Sep 29, 2010My phone looks like a tiny brick now. I can't reset it, I can't upgrade/fix/repair because it's stuck at the SE logo. It happened after internet browsing I've been prompted to forcefully close the browser, then later on it wants me to close the SE home app, then finally it's reset and I can only see until the SE logo.
I tried removing the battery for more than 10 secs, pluggin the usb cable while pressing back - still can't connect to pc. I tried holding down power+home, nothing.
Is there a hard reset button somewhere I can use? I'd rather reset everything with all my data than send it over to SE support since that means it'll take weeks with no phone

May 19, 2012i am waiting for the ICS 4.0.4 update for my xperia neo. my SI no. is not in the list yet. but i wanna ask this question. is it possible for me to upgrade to ICS 4.0.4 by first downgrading to the factory default 2.3.1?? the reason im asking this is that ever since i upgraded from 2.3.1 to 2.3.4 i have been getting this O2 operator start-up n shutdown screens on my phone as well as apps like O2 priority moments which i just cant delete. my phone is not network branded in ANY WAY. i dont even use O2 service. i tried uninstalling and reinstalling the 2.3.4 update several times, but the O2 thing never goes off. but wenever i did a factory reset n revert back to the factory default 2.3.1, the phone is fine with no signs of O2. so plz clarify on this. is it ok to downgrade n then upgrade to ICS?

Looks like latest patch (maybe) screed up boot up of phone. I've never backed it up. Doing a phone repair. But will I lose everything? Including doc + paid games 90% done. Jul 2, 2010I use the Finger use standby screen on my satio, but the standby icons are missing today. The only thing showing is the background picture and the clock. I have switched the satio off/on, removed battery and sim, still the same. have checked the settings of the finger use profile and it still shows all the shortcuts. If I choose a different profile everything in that profile shows on the home screen. Can anyone help please? Update - now when trying to view the shortcuts associated with the finger use profile I get message ' no editable shortcuts in selected theme;. Also when selecting other profiles now I have the same problem with the exception of the sony erricson profile, I tried to edit the shortcuts on that profile but they wont change.

Oct 9, 2010I have just bought C903 and noticed that there is something wrong with the camera, actually there is something like dust or missing pixels when I turn it on and they appear on every photo or video. Jun 25, 2010I'm just wondering whether or not to try installing the new software for my Vivaz (i think the latest version is R2CA024) Back in March I installed the R2AA030 via PC Suite, I did as the process recommended and backed up all my data, only to find that every app and game I had bought and installed to that point had been removed.
I contacted Sony Ericcson about this and they advised that the licences are removed when the symbian system is reset/updated. They were kind enough to re-apply the already purchased apps and games from PLAYnow back into my download folder, allowing me to re-install them. I have since re-bought all the ORANGE content and just took the hit on price. (PLAYnow content been removed again since re-download) If I try to update, am I likely to lose all the licences again? I really don't want to have to buy my apps and games a third time. Is the update worth the bother? NB. support says that apps and games can be re-installed from the 'installation files' folder on the MC, but I checked this folder is already empty.

Sony Ericsson :: C902 - Memory Card Not Readable After Firmware Upgrade
Feb 23, 2010I have Phone A which I was told to upgrade to resolve an issue. Before upgrading, I used manage messages to copy messages by a specific contact to my memory card. After backing up, I checked the memory card tab to see that those messages had been transferred they had. I removed the memory card so the upgrade won't accidently delete stuff on there from Phone A and continued with the upgrade. After the upgrade, I put the memory card back in and went to manage messages to restore them nothing showed.
I was on the phone to sony ericsson for half hour and they couldn't figure out why they were not showing, saying I had not backed them up, but I know I had. I have another phone which is the same as Phone A. I inserted the memory card into Phone B, went to manage messages. It showed messages on the card, but those that I must have backed up a few months ago rather than those I backed up today which didn't show in Phone A
It seems it only reads SMS's on the card dependant on the firmware version. How can I retrieve the messages I backed up today? I've been told I can't rollback the firmware version and even if I did, I didn't note down what it was. Those messages were REALLY importants and I would very much like to get them back.
