BB Curve 8520/8530 :: Unable To Open / View SMS From One Contact
May 29, 2010I've gotten texts from several different people over the past couple days and I can open all of them but one...my friend is texting me from a Verizon phone and she is the only one from Verizon who's texts I can't open. Is there something wrong with my phone/sms? Or is my USCellular BB just boycotting Verizon?

I have found out that the Attachment Service is no longer installed on my handset & when connected to the Desktop Manager it is not in the application list so there is no option to install it. How do I go about installing the attachment service?

Jul 13, 2011My phone upgraded to software v6 on the weekend which did not go smoothly, I lost all of my data and Apps and had to reload it all.Since the upgrade I have not been able to accept appointments from my email inbox.I am not using enterprise just sending emails to my home email from my work email either forwarding them or adding myself as a delegate in outlook. when I open the email meeting request there is no option to accept it.I have the option to view calendar.

What happened is that I took off the sim card that came with it yesterday and put another sim card, now when I took the sim card back in again the phone would show the blackberry screen that shows it's loading and after that it shows the MTN "wall paper" without any icons and my picture.

Aug 18, 2010I recieved my Curve 8520 6 days ago and I am still waiting on my service provider contacting me about the Blackberry Tariff HOWEVER when setting up my phone using the Wizard Setup I did not have two options for the email setup, only Enterprise Email Activation...I have never had one, this is my first Blackberry. How do I apply the other option of Add An Email Address? Or does this mean that the phone has been used by someone else (even though it was bought from my service provider "brand new"), or a fault has arisen? What can be done?

Jul 13, 2010Okay, I got a new Blackberry Curve 8530, and it's the first Blackberry I've had. I changed the style of my SMS messaging from bubbles to stripes, and now it won't change back. I can go into the options, and change it and save the changes, but it stays the same. It will even say that it's set to bubbles, but it doesn't change the look of it. I know it's not a huge deal, but it bothers me, and I was wondering if it's a user error, or something is up with my Blackberry.

May 31, 2010I bought a used 8530 for my Verizon service. When going through setup the phone only gives me the option of setting up email with a Blackberry email account. On my old Blackberry Pearl I was allowed to setup Gmail in the same page. What do I need to do to get Gmail setup and running?I was told that it may take a few hours for the data stuff to kick in from Verizon. Does that have anything to do with not being able to set up Gmail? I do have a Blackberry data plan.

I assumed it had to do with the theme I had installed, as my brother's phone (which has no theme) gave him the option to explore the media folder.
