Mar 22, 2012My calendar wont open on my BB curve 8250, when I click on it to open my phone freezes and I have to turn the phone off to work it again.

Apr 30, 2012after trying to reboot my Blackberry Curve 8520 it gets stuck on about 3/4 of the way though the loading bar. I've tried this at least 10 times and leaving it for up to 3 hours but it still won't turn on. After some internet researched I've tried rebooting it though the blackberry desktop manager, though the app loader. Which will work up to the point where you select applications and they are all grayed out giving no other option but to cancel. I have tried this over 10 times too. I have also tried wiping and restarting though JL_CMder but that won;t work because my phone can't connect to my computer for longer than 3 seconds. Please can someone help me because I've ran out of ideas? The term for this problem around some forums seems to be that the phone in 'Nuked'

Aug 22, 2012Whenever I try to reset my blackberry it will freeze at 75% and the screen will go off and it will do it all over again, when I connect my bb to desktop software it will come up with a message saying the device software needs updating during the update it says "reconnecting to JVM" and the desktop software will disconnect my blackberry is there anyway to stop this from happening.

Sep 14, 2011I'm having problems with my daughters curve when trying to turn it on. When I turn it on it take 5 mins or more to load and then freezes when I get to password screen. If I enter a password no cursor appears and after a minute it says password incorrect. I have connected to device manager and the password is correct on the pc. I've noticed that the Aa symbol (caps locks) flashes on and off on when starting up. I have googled the problem with no success. I have tried a battery pull with and without sim card. Ctrl alt delete also failed. I have connected to device manager and deleted an app to see if frees phone up but no joy.

Jul 19, 2011I have a Curve 8520. I installed a new theme today. It was the Beautiful Sunset in motion theme. Since then, when my phone reboots, the theme with its moving water appears, but nothing else works on the phone. None of the keys work and the screen display, other than the moving water, is frozen too. I have tried taking out the battery, waiting and then rebooting. All that happens is that the theme returns, and is stuck again. I have attached it to my laptop, but the Blackberry Desktop Software can't connect with the phone. I tried the "Start Run" App Loader, but got a message telling me the "Location is not available".

i was told to get it unlocked so i purchased an unlock code but for some odd reason everytime i insert the code it freezes the handset.i have tried so many time but nothing, i still have 10 tries left.

Sep 25, 2012I have setup a blackberry 8520 using our Blackberry Enterprise Server (BES). The blackberry setup completes without error as does the enterprise activation on the device. Everything works ok on the Blackberry except for the calendar which does not sync across any changes to the outlook desktop. If a change(e.g. new entry) is made on the users outlook desktop it does get synched across to the Blackberry.
If the calendar entry is then deleted on the blackberry it gets synched across to the desktop. The problem is only in one direction e.g. from the Blackberry to the desktop. So far I have removed the user from the BES and restarted the BES. Added the user back in to the BES. Wiped the handheld and run the enterprise activation but the problem still exists. This seems to be an isolated problem as we have approximately 20 Blackberry users using BES and all don't have any issues.

Jul 6, 2012I am currently using a BB Curve 8520. I am experiencing an issue with sharing birthday entries with my BBM Groups. When I add a birthday entry to my phonebook contacts, the phone will prompt you whether or not you will share this date with the BBM Groups Calendar.
If I select NO, the birthday entry will still BE SHARED to your BBM Groups.
So I have to go to the BBM Groups calendar to manually delete the entry created.

I have found out that the Attachment Service is no longer installed on my handset & when connected to the Desktop Manager it is not in the application list so there is no option to install it. Aug 4, 2010I have the Curve 8520 and I use the In The Know theme with the bottom sliding dock. I uninstalled Facebook from my BB but for some reason only calendar appointments that have the "sent with Facebook" at the top show up on my theme's calendar home area.
I want facebook completely GONE from my black berry but there's no calendar option that lets me get rid of the "Facebook calendar" or at least change it so when I make a new appointment it defaults to starting with my email instead of stupid facebook.

Aug 5, 2010I have bought a new BB Curve 8520. On my desktop I have Windows 7, with Microsoft Outlook 2007. My e-mail is a Windows Live account through Office Live, which I believe is a web-based e-mail account. This means, in order for me to get e-mail in Outlook, I have to use the Microsoft OutlooIk Connector. When I go to sync using Desktop Manager, I first try and install ntellisync through the Wizard and I get a “successfully installed message, but when I click “OK” the error: "Folder is no longer part of system data source or the folder could not be found” appears and I am never able to sync successfully, either through the USB or wirelessly. I have uninstalled and re-installed the Desktop Manager many times. However, I am receiving the e-mails through to my BB. But if I'm unable to sync Calendar, Tasks or Contacts etc. with my Desktop, the BB is not a lot of help or benefit to me.
