BB Curve :: 8520 There Is Appworld Icon But Can't Open It
Sep 28, 2011in my BB curve 8520 there is appworld icon but i cant open it...What do i need to install? when i press it it anly says "the data service is not operational.

BB Curve 8520/8530 :: AppWorld - How Do I Start It?
Jul 22, 2010I just got me a BlackBerry Curve 8520 and installed the latest version - 822 that leaked but still no show. My problem is that I can't find the AppWorld - I mean can't find it anywhere in the menu. And the Application list says I have it installed. Anyone has any idea?! Look all over the menu but somehow can't see from where to start it up.

Aug 1, 2010I own a BB for only 3 days now. I was wondering if the device was normally sold with Appworld already install? It was not on mine. I wanted to download it today, here the process:
1- Go to BB.com, send the link on my email...err: I don't have internet explorer 5 or higher on my device (can't download it for the same reason!)
2- Go to BB.com to download it on my desktop....err, I use firefox (mac),
3- open VMWare Fusion, run Internet explorer 5, crash.
4- install internet explorer 7...crash
5- Look in the application loader in the desktop manager, I can uninstall/install Appworld on my device! Do it. I still can't see in in my applications.

Aug 14, 2010I use Sprint and everytime I miss a call the Messages icon appears and does not disappear until I open the messages folder and open the missed call message. This is incredibly annoying for me, as I usually just press the send key and see what calls I have missed. Doing this does not clear the messages icon or notification.
I really dont need missed calls sent to Messages, the only reason I ever use the Messages folder is to clear the icon from my screen.Can anyone help me either disable this icon or alter what is sent to Messages?
BB Curve :: 8520 Don't Want To Open
Jul 9, 2011I recently bought a blackberry curve 8520, now it doesn't wanna open the home screen. What happened is that I took off the sim card that came with it yesterday and put another sim card, now when I took the sim card back in again the phone would show the blackberry screen that shows it's loading and after that it shows the MTN "wall paper" without any icons and my picture.

And I said yes it installed the new one and restarted the phone but now AppWorld Icon is gone! the program is installed I can see it installed in the Options but the icon is gone, so i cant use it. I've tried reinstalling it, but it still won't show up. I just now realized that its BB AppWorld that has disappeared and I cannot seem to find it for the life of me. Jun 9, 2011The logo is showing from the Blackberry App World, with the little arror through and the red notification star. I have the most recent app world, all of my apps were updated last night. I have done the battery pull, I've left the battery out for half an hour and put it back in, and I have reinstalled and uninstalled various apps. The logo is still in the corner of my screen near the time, and it won't go away. It's really bugging me!

Jan 28, 2010I used to be able to see a combined list of my emails, SMS texts, missed phone calls, voicemails and just about anything else when I opened the Message folder icon on my Blackberry Curve 8330 desktop, but now when I open it, all I get is a blank white screen. When I hit the menu button, the menu pops up without a problem and if I click the track ball, it will open a message, but I can't see the list itself.Also, when I go to view folder I can access any of the individual folders and they come up just fine. The only problem is the combined message list you're supposed to get when you open up the icon on the desktop (or application menu).
