BB Storm 9530/9500 :: Appworld Icon Missing After Reset
Apr 19, 2010I just did I reset on my phone and my app world icon went missing ?So I searched everywhere and couldnt find it, then went to the applications option and it said it was still there. So I deleted it and when my phone booted back up the icon was back, and then I re-installed it and the icon was gone again but it still shows its installed in my applications list ?

Jul 6, 2010I went out one night and when I woke up I noticed an application icon was missing on my BB. I just now realized that its BB AppWorld that has disappeared and I cannot seem to find it for the life of me. I assume I drunkenly hit some random keys and it vanished but I can't possibly imagine how I have checked all my hidden folders and every thing. My Applications page under Settings lists AppWorld and I have even tried countless battery pulls and deleting AppWorld and reinstalling it.

Jul 18, 2010I downloaded an application through it and after that it asked me if i wanted to update my AppWorld. And I said yes it installed the new one and restarted the phone but now AppWorld Icon is gone! the program is installed I can see it installed in the Options but the icon is gone, so i cant use it. I deleted it n downloaded it again but still didn't show up.

Apr 10, 2010I just got my phone yesteday and I started downloading apps. I woke up this morning and the App World icon is gone. I've checked all the folders and I didn't accidentally move it. I've tried reinstalling it, but it still won't show up. I've rebooted the phone with QuickPull and nothing has changed.I'm also having the issue that some of the apps I emailed to my hotmail account won't click thru to the AppWorld either.Basically AppWorld is messed up, but reboots and reinstalls haven't worked.

Nov 3, 2010I have a curve 8900 and recently upgraded to OS 5.0After upgrading and restarting, the blackberry messenger icon was nowhere to be found. I tried reinstalling it and can't find it either. I used desktop manager and was able to install an older version of blackberry messenger. And that one works perfectly. But whenever I try to upgrade the blackberry messenger to version 5 the icon disappears, yet it appears on the application list. I've tried upgrading from appworld, from the computer and from the upgrade icon that's on my home screen.

May 31, 2010A few days ago I performed the recent update to my 9530 Storm. Things work a lot smoother and faster, which is great, however I notice my Music icon has disappeared since then. And not just gone, but COMPLETELY gone! I have no desktop icon for music, nor is it located under my Media icon. Actually, it is not located anywhere under any folder in the entire device. I know that my music is still somewhere in there, however, as I can access them (begrudgingly) by doing the following: Media --> *Blackberry button* --> Explore --> Media Card --> Blackberry --> Music And there they are! So, my question is this: HOW do I get the shortcut to appear on my main page, as well as under the Media icon, again?

Jan 21, 2011I used to have a bb curve 8900 and used bb maps all the time. now I have a bold 9700 and would also like to use my bb maps. For some reason it is listed in my apps when I go to settings, but the icon is no where to be found so I can't ever open it! I use poynt a lot and it uses bb maps to map out my travel, but I can't just open bb maps to do my own route with an address. What is the deal? How can I get the bb maps icon to appear on my "home screen"? It isn't in any of my other folders either

Mar 23, 2012I have just upgraded my software via the internet to OS6 and although the new software is awesome, my app world won't open. When I click on the icon, the phone freezes. I have installed and uninstalled... inserted and re-inserted the battery many times. I have also tried to install an earlier version.
Also my protect gives me the following message: "Error starting net_rim_bb_dryad gui: Symbol 'Security.device Under Attack' not found."
And finally when I am typing in BBM or anywhere else I get a text imput error message. Murphy's law it's not coming up now when I want to post this. I love my BB but I want to be able to use all the services offered. My line of work depends on my phone working properly.

BB Storm 9500 :: BB Storm 9520 / Missing BES Option
May 20, 2010when I set up my email I only get the option for regular email accounts to be set up and not the BES option. I have set up my gmail account and that is fine. I have also set up my email account from work to synch via the web exchange but not through the BES.I really want this option as I know it is the better way to be set up, we have BES set up on our work server I just need the option on my handset to do it!

Jan 6, 2010I just got the bold 9700 ver. 2 from ATT and don't have the phone icon. It is not hidden, I looked, and not in any other folder. All I have is a phone icon that is for Visual Voice Mail, which I am not signed up for and don't want to be. When I click the VVM icon it says do you want to sign up and I hit No and it just kicks me back to the main screen. How can I get rid of the Visual VM icon and get the Call log icon?
