BB Curve :: Can't Install The "newer Version Of Appworld"
Nov 29, 2012
I cant upgrade my Blackberry appworld and when i click on the icon a message appears and says that the password that i entered is invalid but i haven't entered anything. Another thing, I had upgrades for the 2 apps that i dowloaded, i already upgraded it through my desktop but my mobile still has an asterisk on the appworld icon.
I had my curve 8900 for about a month now and I currently have the 4.6.1.231 OS. I wanted to know when I would receive an update for a newer OS version. How long would it take to get this upgrade?
i just got my iphone and i want to get apps but they all day i need version 4.0? I went to itunes and to updates and it said I have the newest version?
IS there a newer version to the software v11.0.054?? It says the software version date is 28.08.09It also says custom version : 11.0.054.245.03 n the date is 15.10.09I used the nokia software updater interface on my com and checked and it said that the software is up to date. But when i google there are people who have v20 something for the 5530.
I have been sent a replacement handset via orange, they updated everything at their end with the new pin for it.I cannot access anything blackberry on the handset, checking on the balckberry pages on the internet using my pc it shows that blackberry thinks i am still using my old device. How do I update blackberry to show i have a new device/handset
I am trying to update FROM Ovi Suite 2.1.1.1 to the newer version. The download process NEVER ends. 2 screen shot are attached. In the 2nd you clearly see some counter overrun (65518MB / 17MB). I have already: uninstalled; download new version; installed. Same scenario.
I cant use Viber. I have installed many time this messenger but its not wroking. I am using Updated version from Apps Store. but when i receive message its says upgrade your version to see this message. when i try to update apps with mobile and PC (itune) its says your all apps are upto date, i dont know what is the prob. This is my new mobile.
I can see that the Hazel/Elm are now both running NetFront 3.5 which has Adobe Flash support. Is it possible to extract this browser for use in a different phone? Is it possible to upgrade the browser at all? I am running a W705 currently which I think runs 3.4.
Ever since I downloaded something like "Blackberry OS version 5" from the web, and updated my device using the desktop manager, I have been unable to download new apps.Somehow I managed to get BBM back on -- the phone would have been useless otherwise -- but no more apps will get downloaded.Everything seems to work, whether I download via the web, or use desktop manager to install the apps, there are no errors and it says it worked -- but there is no icon for the app in any of the folders. For example, BB App world: The desktop manager says it is installed, but it's not accessible because there is no icon anywhere. My carrier say they can't help me any further as it's a device issue.I have got "show all" on, so the icons are definitely not hidden.I have tried a battery pull dozens of times.I have tried a backup using desktop manager, then factory reset the device, then restored -- several times.I have tried uninstalling the apps through desktop manager and installing them again.I don't understand what settings are supposed to be changed after I do a factory reset and restore from backup.
Carrier: Orange Device: 8900 Platform: 4.3.0.23 App Version: 5.0.0.90 (91) File Free: 113507146 Is it possible version 5 doesn't work with Orange at all? Following the link to "Orange UK" on this page, I can see Orange does list v5 for download: URL...
I just added BBM onto my blackberry which i have had for a while. The format of the BBM is very different from the other format I have seen. How can I get the newer format for BBM?
I originally had a Curve 8520 but sadly it got stolen. I backed it up before it was stolen and I was just wondering, before I make a new purchase, will I have to buy the curve 8520 in order to restore the data I backed up? Or could I buy a newer curve eg 9300 or even a completely different model eg bold 9780 and still have all my info?
I'm just using the Micro SD card (2gb) that came with my Curve 8530. And as I sync my playlists through iTunes and download apps, obviously it is beginning to get quite full, and I'm actually almost entirely out of space.
How do I transfer what is currently saved on this card and put it onto the new card so that I don't lose any info?
Also, these cards are soooo over priced at Best Buy and other brick and mortar stores.. so if I am in the market for a larger card (probably a 16gb one), where would you guys recommend picking one up at?
there is a certain app which i have been using daily for years on my two separate ancient ipods and my new iphone. i updated the app recently on the iphone and the new version is horrible. i want to go back in time!
unfortunately, with my monkeying around trying to make this happen, all i have managed to do is delete the new version from itunes and the old version from one of my ipods (when i deleted it from itunes, it deleted it from the ipod when syncing-- without asking me!).
but: it still exists in its lovely (older) form on the other old ipod.
is there any way to get it onto the iphone and the other ipod? i cant seem to find a way. if i can pull that off, then all i need to do is not update it and i can use it like the good old days.
I have put a 8GB memory card in my new phone. When I try to update my Nokia maps the uploader only installs nokia maps v1.0. Uploader says I have version 0.0.13h? It won't install the latest maps version 3.0. I copied the files from the memory card which came with the phone to my 8GB card but this doesn't fix the problem.
I have decided to install Garmin Mobile on my Nokia 5230. I have asked the official Garmin support for informations about Garmin Mobile and Symbiaa S60 v5. They answered that the last version of Garmin Mobile is v5.00.60 and in theory it should almost certain work with S60v5 operating system (the version v5.00.50 should too), but the product is discontinued so they are not 100% sure. They sent me a list where I can still buy Garmin Mobile but I am not sure to spend 100€ because I'm not totaly sure if this will work with Nokia 5230. There's lots of info about Garmin v5.00.40 and v5.00.50 working on Nokia 5800 but no info about Nokia 5230.Is there any Nokia 5230 user on this forum with Garmin Mobile installed? If yes which version of Garmin Mobile do you have?
I just looked at my test menus (menu-menu-back-menu back-menu-back-back etc etc to get the phone-specific info) and it says that my x10 is from France. This explains the Serve.Me app being in French, havn't been able to change the language used in this app.Being English educated and living in Australia, this native (non-removable) French Serve.Me app is pretty useless as my French is "tres mal".Is there anything I can do to install and English version/change the country? Apart from 'rooting' the phone ( rather apt term as Aussies, the word 'root' has also other meanings) which I assume I can remove the native apps. What other parts of the phone are customised for a specific country? I've been able to use everything in English so far - and the 2.1 upgrade is not available yet for my x10!
I updated my Bravo to Froyo a month ago, while updating I recieved an error message (which I can't remember), since then the phone regurarly freeze and I always recieve a notification from the task manager saying that my CPU usage is 100%.....I tried hard resetting the phone several times but that was of no use.
I got an new old stock iPhone4 from a relative a couple of days ago and am now trying to set it up. Everything went smoothly until I tried connecting it to the computer. When I hook it up, iTunes tells me that the iPhone will only work with iTunes 11.1 or later versions. I have a Macbook Pro (not too old, Duocore, 4Gb Ram, etc.) with MacOS X 10.5.8. Apparently I can't install iTunes 11.1 or any later version on my operating system and I really don't want to upgrade to a new operating system just for my iPhone. Is there any way to sync my iPhone to iTunes without buying anything additional?
i have a little problem with my maps updater and N95. i recently (two days ago) updated my N95 firmware and its now 35.0.0002, and after that, i tried to install ovi maps commercial version (ovi maps 3.00 without free navigation) using maps updater but it shows cannot read enough information from N95? and closes? what can i do now? how can i find the commercial version again since N95 is not supported by free navigation version? i understand not many people use this device nowadays.
I'm trying to use the Appworld on my Curve 8530, but I want it to only use the WiFi (I just have the Blackberry Social plan with Koodo with no data plan).
Right now, I've connected my phone to my router (a Netgear WNR1000 v2) using WPA2-PSK [AES] encryption and the PSK. Both the Router and the Phone say that they are connected, the router assigned it an IP addy (192.168.X.X), the phone says its connected but on the manage connections screen, there is no green check next to WiFi (only a square with a white line through it).
When I try turning off the mobile connection and only use WiFi I get the following:
"You do not have sufficient wireless coverage or your connection to the wireless network is turned off" I don't want to run the risk of getting overage charges with my provider
Seriously, why can't they just have the Appworld run in the desktop software, and when you sync the phone, it updates the software you download.
i'm having some trouble loggin in in App World. I got my ID, but when i type my email and password, after it gets de menu "authenticating", it says :" An error has occured, try again later."
