Just recently got a new Blackberry Storm 2 9550. I downloaded the Appwold app but when i try to connect to it, it comes up with the message "Blackberry App World is having trouble connecting to the Blackberry App World server. Verify your network connections and try again".

I cannot get into my appworld using my email and when I choose the''forgot password'' option it cannot connect to server message pops up. (error id:30637) what to do other then throw the dam phone into the nearest river?

And I said yes it installed the new one and restarted the phone but now AppWorld Icon is gone! the program is installed I can see it installed in the Options but the icon is gone, so i cant use it. I deleted it n downloaded it again but still didn't show up.

I've checked all the folders and I didn't accidentally move it. I've tried reinstalling it, but it still won't show up. I've rebooted the phone with QuickPull and nothing has changed.I'm also having the issue that some of the apps I emailed to my hotmail account won't click thru to the AppWorld either.Basically AppWorld is messed up, but reboots and reinstalls haven't worked.

So I deleted it and when my phone booted back up the icon was back, and then I re-installed it and the icon was gone again but it still shows its installed in my applications list ?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have looked everywhere and i cant seem to find any drivers. the blackberry website seems to say that they are on windows update and I can find them but i don't know how to extract them. Basically, i have a custom built pc and windows 7. All usb ports have been tested with other devices. I tried the desktop manager 5.0 and 4.7 and that doesn't recognize my BB. Windows says that i have connected an unknown device.
I tried rebooting the device and pc and removing the battery from the device. All to no avail.
Someone please tell me where to find it, give me steps to get it working, or where to find a self extracting driver. Also I downloaded the RIM blackberry smartphone driver from the windows update site and it still says it didn't install correctly
I juz received a blackberry storm 9500 from my sister, and I don't know how to connect it to wifi (I'm very new at this). I've tried google and found different answers, ranging from "storm 9500 cannot connect to wifi", to "i have one and it can connect just fine". I can't find the wifi option in the "manage connection", and there is no browser icon on the home screen either.

View 4 Replies View Related(and I HAVE searched these forums extensively first!), but my PC has just come back from having some work done on it, and this evening I plugged in my USB lead to the PC and then my BB Storm 9520 (v5.0.0.553). I'm on O2 btw....Normally I get 2 screens - one is the "Install new software (which never works so I ignore it) then the usual screen pops up with "Removable Disk (F) etc.", which enables me to use my phone as a USB storage device, just like a memory stick.

View 6 Replies View RelatedFor some reason I can not receive nor send MMS on my Blackberry 9520 Storm 2. I do not even see the option to send a picture as a text when I go to my pictures. I am not sure if this is the phone or my provider. I have my 9520 unlocked and on AT&T with an unlimited data plan and unlimited text. I have tried having pictures sent to me as well, but that also was no luck as I NEVER received a text.The second problem I am having is that I can not access the Blackberry App Store. Every time I try it says that it can not connect to the server.
Edit:: The App Store problem is no longer present (turned off the network and turned it back on), but the MMS problem is still present.
my storm 9530 does not connect to the app world website. when i connect it and ry to download any application or game, it gives this error message:"cannot connect to blackberry app world. plugin error. make sure you have content protection disabled and then try again"i have disabled the content protection. still it gives the same error.

I then went and tried to do the network diagnosis, and it pretty much failed all of it. I purchased this off of amazon.com and so far i love it. I only wish that I could access the internet with it. I am currently using T-mobile, and I am pretty sure I have a data plan on my account.
