BB Storm :: 9530 Won't Turn On Or Even Connect With PC?
Mar 1, 2011I have tried a battery pull off and after I place the battery again it flashes red for 6-8 seconds then turns off. It won't even connect to PC.

BB Storm 9500 :: Storm 9530 Wont Connect To My Computer
Feb 12, 2010I have looked everywhere and i cant seem to find any drivers. the blackberry website seems to say that they are on windows update and I can find them but i don't know how to extract them. Basically, i have a custom built pc and windows 7. All usb ports have been tested with other devices. I tried the desktop manager 5.0 and 4.7 and that doesn't recognize my BB. Windows says that i have connected an unknown device.
I tried rebooting the device and pc and removing the battery from the device. All to no avail.
Someone please tell me where to find it, give me steps to get it working, or where to find a self extracting driver. Also I downloaded the RIM blackberry smartphone driver from the windows update site and it still says it didn't install correctly

Mar 3, 2010My Storm is running all of the latest official software and when I connect it to my Windows 7 PC it shows and error for a fraction of a second and reboots. If left connected via USB it continually crashes until disconnected. It previously connected without issue on my current computer. Has anyone had this issue and what fixed it?

I can access them on the pc but can't find them on the phone. I pulled the bat and disabled/enabled media card but still nothing.

He connects his phone to his laptop with a USB cable and gets internet on his laptop.I've been trying to connect to his phone through bluetooth and get internet. BTW, I have Windows Vista 32-bit, if that helps.Anyway, I can't figure out what to do at all..I downloaded VZAccess Manager, I downloaded BlackBerry Desktop Manager (Because my computer had been trying to install device driver software and I thought that would fix it, yet it still asks to find device driver software). Sep 12, 2010I wish there was an easy way for me to portray the amount of disdain I have for my Storm at this time, however, that won't do me any good!I'm just looking to get some insight to my problem and whether or not it can be resolved! It would be really unfortunate if I had to replace my lump of a phone as I am a college student that just moved away from home and am in the middle of my two-year contract.My phone is still in operating order minus the faulty touchscreen, it still receives messages, emails, and even phone calls. All the side buttons work, in short, the screen is just dead.I did not drop it nor spill any liquids on it and I've performed a plethora of battery pulls. I'm at a loss!Let me describe the events that occurred before (seemingly) death of my touchscreen. I was at a friends house preparing for a 9/11 5k race when I noticed my battery was running low so I left it in a safe place to quietly run out of steam because I had no need to carry a phone during a race. At this point it was still fully functional. After the race, I check my phone to see if it was out of power yet which it was. I get home later that night and charge it only to rudely surprised by an inoperable screen. I cleaned the screen and did a few battery pulls afterwards in hopes it was only a minor problem to no avail.

I was also in a moderate car crash the day prior so perhaps that may have caused some problems? Externally, my phone is in mint condition. I suppose this just hasn't been my week!

If I type: The program sam is made in The software corrects it automatically to: The program Sam is made in Erasing the word and typing again will not work as it will be capitalized. What works is pausing after writing the word sam and then chosing from the popup that allows a choice of sam or Sam.This was not the case in 4.7 . If it is of any importance, I use multitap.

Jan 20, 2010I get my ringtones from myxer.com and mytinyphone and sites such as that. When I set any of these ringtones i download as my sms alert or phone call ringtone, it just uses the default ringtone. So I checked to see if I saved my ringtone settings. Sure enough I did. So I tried turning my phone off and back on, and my ringtone settings just get reset back to default. When I had my 2 gig microsd in it was doing the same thing, but after a couple days it was using the ringtones I set for it. I just put an 8 gig microsd in and there's no hope.

Sep 2, 2010Sunday night I went to bed with a battery that was at least 80% charged. I had my alarm set to wake me up the next morning. I have no idea if that has anything to do with the battery possibly getting drained. As far as I know, I didn't have any apps running either. Anyway, Monday morning I woke up to a completely dead Storm. I tried plugging it in, but all I got was a red light for about 10 secs, the screen went black & then a white screen with a battery in the middle appeared with a red slash through the battery. I've tried everything from a battery pull to even taking a risk & dropping it on the floor & still nothing. I even went & bought a new battery but that's not the issue either. No matter what I do, I still get the same result. It's not the chargers cause I've tried both my wall charger & USB charger.

May 4, 2010My Storm 1 crashed Sunday night with message on screen stating 'Reload Softwares 552'. I called Verizon Tech Support and they just ended up giving me a brand new Storm 2 for free! All I had to do was re-sign my contract for another two years. Gonna miss my Storm 1 but the Storm 2 is sweet! Just got it today. Anyone wanting to upgrade, try using that excuse.
