BB Storm :: Computer Detects It But Could Not Connect
Oct 28, 2012
Computer sees the Storm 9530, Device Manager sees it, I can't get into the folders through My Computer, or when running Desktop Software I go to click on Music then iTunes and I get this prompt-"A problem occurred while attempting to connect to Blackberry device". I am trying to add music from my only computer to my phone.
I have looked everywhere and i cant seem to find any drivers. the blackberry website seems to say that they are on windows update and I can find them but i don't know how to extract them. Basically, i have a custom built pc and windows 7. All usb ports have been tested with other devices. I tried the desktop manager 5.0 and 4.7 and that doesn't recognize my BB. Windows says that i have connected an unknown device. I tried rebooting the device and pc and removing the battery from the device. All to no avail. Someone please tell me where to find it, give me steps to get it working, or where to find a self extracting driver. Also I downloaded the RIM blackberry smartphone driver from the windows update site and it still says it didn't install correctly
For whatever odd reason, this thing won't correctly recognize it as a separate drive; it instead attempts to read it as TWO drives, which never works. Why is that!? (running OS 5.0.0.1015) At first I had chalked it up to just being these crappy publice library computers, but it never hurts to be entirely certain...
I juz received a blackberry storm 9500 from my sister, and I don't know how to connect it to wifi (I'm very new at this). I've tried google and found different answers, ranging from "storm 9500 cannot connect to wifi", to "i have one and it can connect just fine". I can't find the wifi option in the "manage connection", and there is no browser icon on the home screen either.
I would like to know if anyone else has noticed their MotoActv flaking out when it detects the availability of new updates. I would really hate to think that Motorola would be foolish enough to do this intentionally just to encourage people to update their devices. However, my Motoactv has never had the massive behavioral problems that I see upon update notification at any other time.Just to give you guys a baseline, I normally burn just over 2K calories in a day if I don't work out, and my battery is normally at about 70-80% after being unplugged for 12-16 hours.
The first time that I noticed the problem, the device told me that I burned over 30K calories in one day, and the battery life was completely horrible that day. I don't remember exactly, but I believe that it was down to about 10% by the end of the day.Now today, the battery life was horrible again. It actually died somewhere during the day, after being unplugged for less than 8 hours and not doing any workout. Once I got home and plugged it back in, it had completely forgotten even the time and date. I let it charge enough to power back on, and low and behold it told me their was an update available! This is completely unacceptable. For a device to run just fine right up until the time that it detects an available update, and then for it to start acting like a complete piece of garbage is ridiculous.I really hope that Motorola has an explanation for this. But if it reads something like, "The updates address the problems you're experiencing, please update the device and you should no longer experience the problems." I'm going to be pissed.
My phone (lumia 800) thinks all the time that I have headphones plugged in no mater if it is true or not. And when I connect normal headphones, that worked before the issue started, it opens Tellme (voice control). I've already tried hard restart but it didn't fix the problem.
Windows XP detects the device but cannot find driver, even if I try pointing to the client CD it does not find driver. Also I have already installed the client software successfully.
My iPhone 4s no longer detects bluetooth accessories. I've tried resetting my iPhone completely and still no success. I'm sure that the iPhone is the problem as my iPad and wife's itouch detects the bluetooth accessories just fine. I'm out of options. I'm currently running the latest iOS (8.1.1)
I am trying to connect my phone to my computer. First, when I first plugin my USB to my computer it was installing then it was installed successfully. But, it didn't pop-out anything. There's no anything showing up. All my phone do is charging and that's it. The mass storage was on. I installed the desktop manager on blackberry.com but still not doing anything. Now, I uninstalled it because it's not doing anything.
i'm currently using bb storm 9530 and got desktop manager installed in my laptop (running vista) as well as my desktop computer (windows xp), i find it strange that both my computers can't communicate with my bb despite setting off my firewall and anti-virus (norton 360). how can i resolve this problem cause i can't run any updates on my bb through usb port?
So I purchased a 1.5TB drive and set out to rip all my CD that I have been collecting since the 80's. I decided to put some of these CD's on my Storm. I opened the handy dandy DM and clicked on the media sync, but I would be damned if I could not figure any way to import specific albums. I can sync all (I have way too much to do that) or recently changed. But how the hizzy do I import only specific albums? Do I simply open the music sync folder on the memory card on my computer desktop and drag them over? If this is the case, why is the BB music sync program so lame?
Trying to get My Contacts out of my Storm to Verizon Backup Assistance THRU THE COMPUTER(not over the airwaves). Anyone successful in doing this?
I can access the phone but contacts do not come up in BROWSE feature of Backup assist. Also it can't seem to pull them in thru a BB Manager recent back up.
Screen is cracked and I can't call *228 to (re)activate the phone to do Back up Assist thru the phone the normal way.
I've been trying to put music on a stom for a while now and everytime I connect to computer it wont recognize my device. Mass storage mode is on. I have 5.0 os on it. It didnt work before I update the OS. So I have no clue what the problem is.
I recently went on a trip and took over 200 photos on my Blackberry. I need a simple way to transfer all of them to my computer, since obviously emailing them one at a time or moving them one at a time is not practical. When I go to Options > Memory, all options are set to On (Media Card Support, Media Transfer Protocol, and Mass Storage Mode Support). When I go to Media > Pictures > All Pictures, I see all my photos. When I go to Picture Folders, it says Device Memory.
While connected to my PC via USB, I try to pull it up in Windows Explorer. I see options for MTP Device - Device Memory and MTP Device - Media Card. There are only empty folders under Device Memory. Media Card has nothing under Data, and only my music files under Media. Similar behavior when I pull it up under Windows Media Player.
I have lg g3 5.0 lollipop and v20g-global-yt software version, and when i connect the usb to the phone and computer it's doesnt show me the option: LG SOFTWARE - Connect to LG mobile computer software. Why it isn't show me this option?
Last night my blackberry stopped ringing so I pulled the battery. When it tried to reboot I got "Reload Software: 507". So now this morning I tried to connect my phone to the computer via USB cable and neither windows nor the Blackberry desktop manager are recognizing it as being connected.
my phone wont connect to my computer any more.i have tryed to reinstall the desktop software and it did nothing. i have checked every setting in my phone and nothing. pulled battery and nothing. the last time i connected it was to do a back up when i upgraded my phones os. i am running a torch on the telus network. platform 6.4.0.210 app version 6.0.0.448 (1907)
I have been having a few problems with my ray ever since i got it. I have been having a few problems with connecting it to a computer using either MTP or MSC. I have sent a message to sony about this problem and they asked me to turn off all my firewalls and anti viruses on my computer and to then try again but then no luck. After some time the mini usb port wasnt working at all and i was sent a new one. As soon as i got it i tried to connect it to my computer but no luck it wasn't picking it up. I also tried it on my laptop and on my mac but yet again nothing worked. Im not sure what im supposed to do now as i want to update my phone to Ice Cream and the updating app on the phone isn't allowing me to do it.
When I plug it in to the usb port it says device not recognized last device malfunctioned or something like that. I cant figure out how to fix it. How to get this changed?
I've got a bit of a problem with my LG Dare. My LG dare will not connect to my computer, it's not in device manager and it's not in QPST. Right now, I can access the filesystem over bluetooth. The cable is not the problem -- I can use it in my droid, BB storm and in my other dare. The only thing my dare will do with the cable is charge.
Software: VX970V6 Doesn't recognize in download mode either.
I left my iphone charger at my boyfriends house, and I can't get it back until next week because neither of us drive and we both have busy lives etc.
Last night I used my USB cable to charge my phone through my laptop, which worked fine. Tonight I have gone to do the same and my computer couldn't recognise my device.I've tried re-installing itunes, deleting USB ports, restarting my phone and computer, updated my computer. My phone was up-to-date too.
i plug it in, and nothing happens. No charging, no error message, nothing. Just a low beep signifying something being connected to the computer, thats it.
When the phone was plugged into the computer usb the device driver installing rotating icon came up the unfortunately the laptop battery died and ever since i cannot connect my phone to the computer it is not recognised as a iphone camera on devices
I plugged my iPhone into my wall socket and nothing happened. I moved it to my iMac and it didn't charge, either, nor did it connect to iTunes. How do I correct this?
