May 9, 2010So I installed Blackberry AppWorld. Now I have nfl, backup assistant, skype icons, that it does not let me delete.

BB Curve 8520/8530 :: AppWorld Already Installed On Device / Not Seen In Applications
Aug 1, 2010I own a BB for only 3 days now. I was wondering if the device was normally sold with Appworld already install? It was not on mine. I wanted to download it today, here the process:
1- Go to BB.com, send the link on my email...err: I don't have internet explorer 5 or higher on my device (can't download it for the same reason!)
2- Go to BB.com to download it on my desktop....err, I use firefox (mac),
3- open VMWare Fusion, run Internet explorer 5, crash.
4- install internet explorer 7...crash
5- Look in the application loader in the desktop manager, I can uninstall/install Appworld on my device! Do it. I still can't see in in my applications.
BB Curve 8520/8530 :: Unable To Delete All Pictures
Apr 29, 2010I have a 8530 and I have some pictures that I want to get off my phone. But i ran into a problem. The "picture folder" I was able to delete these pictures out of it. But when i went to "All Pictures" i was unable to delete the pictures in there , it said this is a "Read Only File".

Jul 22, 2010I just got me a BlackBerry Curve 8520 and installed the latest version - 822 that leaked but still no show. My problem is that I can't find the AppWorld - I mean can't find it anywhere in the menu. And the Application list says I have it installed. Anyone has any idea?! Look all over the menu but somehow can't see from where to start it up.

Aug 25, 2010My fiance's phone is having issues, i've been trying to get a backup created and do an os upgrade on the phone to the latest release but I'm having no luck. everytime i hook the phone up to a system (have tried 3 with the same issue) the phone reboots once the drivers are loading on the system for the phone. This continues to happen as the phone is loading up and puts the phone into a loop until i unhook the phone from usb. Just wondering if anyone has any ideas how i could get a backup for the phone to atleast save her contacts and other information, or any idea what i can do to get a new os loaded.

Jun 11, 2010When i get a new email from yahoo, and check it on the BB and after I read the email and delete it, it will not show up on my yahoo email when I check on my laptop. But when i check my email for yahoo on my laptop, it still shows up on my BB and doesnt delete unless I personally delete it. Is there an option that when i check my email from my laptop that it will delete on my BB??

Aug 16, 2010I cannot delete themes from my BlackBerry Curve 8520 (T-Mobile). I have done extensive research on the issue, and have tried many of the methods listed within this forum. However, all have failed.

I have tried removing them through Options > Advanced Options > Applications, however there are no themes listed within the application list. Here are screenshots of my application list:

I have also tried to delete the extra themes using BlackBerry Theme Studio (this is actually the source of the extraneous themes). After previewing several themes on my device, the program's internal 'Manage Themes On BlackBerry...' feature has failed to delete any of them. Screenshot below:

I have also tried to delete the extra themes using BlackBerry Desktop Software (Version 6). However, the themes are nowhere to be found within the application list. Screenshots below:

Prior to using BlackBerry Desktop Software Version 6, I tried Version 5, but the themes still did not show within the application list.
I have tried numerous battery pulls, restarts, software updates, etc. and nothing has worked!

Sep 11, 2010Okay, I've been at this for a few hours now, and I'm at wits end.I absolutely cannot upgrade from OS 4.6 to 5.0
I have tried the desktop software about a million times, it keeps saying no updates available. I've tried using the app loader. Nothing. I've tried downloading the specific 5.0 software for AT&T BB Curve 8520. App loader says it is incompatible with the device.
I have tried following this: How to Install or Upgrade to a New RIM BlackBerry Operating System (OS) with AppLoader | CrackBerry.com .Still did not help.
I have also tried doing it OTA style. The damn thing says there's no updates available on this either.I've been reading through just about every OS 5 thread I could get my hands on and nothing has made this process work.

Aug 12, 2010But I can forward e-mails just fine. What on earth does that mean? So I receive mail just fine, but when I type up a reply, and go to send, there is no option to send it. I can save it, but not send it. Forwarding works just fine, though. I have re-registered, and I have re-activated, but the problem still exists.

It messed up my contacts birthdays on the calendar again (just like every update ive downloaded since i got my phone), but besides that I thought everything was fine. But then, After using it for a few days, I've occassionally been unable to hear anything during calls. It works most of the time, but occassionally, when someone calls me and i pick up; it says "Connected", I don't hear anything. Mar 27, 2010I got the Curve 8530 on Verizon... I receive a text message from a person, go to the sms icon on my home screen and click on it. My bb shows the new message with the persons's name and a preview of the text. I click on it to view it but it doesnt open the conversation. Then I'll try an older conversation and it works fine. But what is strange is that it will only continue to happen to that one contact. So ill receive a new text from someone else and i can read it with no problems.

It gives me another installing progress bar that reaches half way through then says "Unable to connect to the Internet, check your settings" although I have a BB internet connection that's always on.
