BB Curve :: Open Calendar Or Contacts When Calling?
Jan 26, 2011
While using the version 5 software on my 9300 Curve I can open the calendar or my contacts while I an on the phone with someone and so I can make appointments or forward contact information. How do I do thos with the version 6 software? It seems the options to do so have disapeared from the menu when I am on the phone.
I have a Torch 9810 and PlayBook..Torch 9810 7.1 bundle 2061..Blackberry Bridge 2.1.0.26..PlayBook OS 2.1.0.1088..BES is used..The Bridge connects to the PlayBook and will allow remote control and bridge browser to be used. However, although the email, text and BBM alert icons appear on the PlayBook they cannot be opened. The Bridge contacts and calender will also not open on the Playbook. When attempting to open Text messages on the PlayBook the notice "Text Messages was disabled by IT policy" is displayed. There is no IT Policy in place. When attempting to open BBM on the PlayBook the notice "You must accept the BlackBerry Messenger Licence Agreement on your smartphone to use BBM on your PlayBook". It has been accepted on the phone.I've tried unpairing, rebooting both devices and repairing to no avail.
When someone sends me a calendar invite I used to be able to open the invite from my messages folder, open it, and accept. Now i can't open it at all. The only thing it will let me do is mark it unopened or delete. I have reset the device to no avail
had BB for 3 weeks now and gettign more and more confused unfortunately All I want to know is how I can, once in a while make a backup of my contacts and calendar an my desktop.
I emailed before and used 'synchronising' as a term,b ut am now wondering as seems more confusing with email needed etc.I used to have Palm Pilot with which you just connected to the cable, pressed a button and everything was in line on desktop and visible. Here, wehn i tried backup, it was in a program my desktop couldn't read, and the syncornising document I have received is even worse, not only does it not seem to work, but from the comments form others it seems a mess.
I didn't expect this to be such a big issue and am gettign reallt frustrated
Basically my friend made a backup for my phone in is Mac and sent me that document through email. when I came home and tried opening the email, it wont open? I would basically like to know how to see my contacts that have been saved in there because they are very important and cannot afford to lose them.
I am new to the Blackberry game, having used Nokia smartphones mostly.I got a Blackberry Curve 3G 9300 couple of days back. It came with OS 5 pre-installed. I got a BB plan activated with my provider (Airtel - www.airtel.in ) and got it to sync my work email, contacts and calendar using the BIS site. My employer uses Google Apps Premier Edition, so it was a rather painless process.Afterwards, I upgraded the device to OS6. Once the upgrade was complete, my emails started syncing automatically - nothing really needed from my side. But the Calendar and Contacts do not sync any more. I can see that the checkboxes for Calendar and Contacts are enabled both on the BIS site as well as the device, but they simply do not sync.
Been having a few issues with my Curve 8520 version 5 (it says, but I've tried a few things for version 5 and it seems as though it may be version 4 even) and so am updating my contract. Now I would like to be able to print off a copy of both the contacts and the calender somehow.I have done some research and am starting to think it is not possible to do. It's been backed up to my computer and someone mentioned they can then be printed from there, but again I can find no method to do so!
I used to have a Palm Pilot, and quite easily on there, when you synchronised with computer, you could get your calendar coming up; can the same be done on a blackberry 8520?
I have just bought a new blackberry curve and transferred my contacts from a Sony Ericsson. Their birthday information was transferred too but this hasn't sync to my calendar or I cannot set reminders in the contacts folder. Is there a way to sort this out or an app that actually works?
I lost my blackberry curve and am using the exact same one my sister let me barrow. How do I transfer the contacts and calendar items from my backup on my computer to the new blackberry?
This error is encountered when ever I have the calander sync turned on. If it turn off the calander sync option then I have no problem with the contacts sync.I have been searching forums for this error and I found 1 that referenced the fact that if I had put any attachments in the Outlook calander such as meeting notes or PDF's that the Blueberry wouldn't sync. Is this true? I have many files attached to calendar dates.
After removing and reinstalling my original battery and sim card on my curve 8310, I lost everything including my contacts and calendar. I am devestated and wonder what happened. When the battery was reinstalled and the phone auto restarted, I lost my desktop and knew immediately something bad had happened. It restarted with the original factory settings. I never made any setting changes. The reset happened automatically.
I have a bb curve 8300 from sprint and for 4 times in a row with two phones, i have an error message that pops up after taking out the battery. every time i get it the sprint store resets the phone and wipes all my contacts and calendar entries. this is getting very frustrating and making me want to get rid of my blackberry even though i like it a lot. once i get the error message is says resent under it and if you press it, it looks like its starting up again but then the error message comes up and that it. it just does it over and over again.
I have bought a new BB Curve 8520. On my desktop I have Windows 7, with Microsoft Outlook 2007. My e-mail is a Windows Live account through Office Live, which I believe is a web-based e-mail account. This means, in order for me to get e-mail in Outlook, I have to use the Microsoft OutlooIk Connector. When I go to sync using Desktop Manager, I first try and install ntellisync through the Wizard and I get a “successfully installed message, but when I click “OK” the error: "Folder is no longer part of system data source or the folder could not be found” appears and I am never able to sync successfully, either through the USB or wirelessly. I have uninstalled and re-installed the Desktop Manager many times. However, I am receiving the e-mails through to my BB. But if I'm unable to sync Calendar, Tasks or Contacts etc. with my Desktop, the BB is not a lot of help or benefit to me.
email syncs fine, but calendar, contacts notes etc (in fact everything else) doesnt sync. as the exchange box is hosted, there is no way of putting BES on it. every other smart phone i have ever hooked up to this hosted exchange box works fine seems to be just the blackberry.
he has an exchange enabled outlook 2007 client on his PC looking at the same account. how can i get things to sync over the air (i dont want him to have to plug it in to the pc as this defeats the entire object of having an exchange solution).
Is it possible to synchronise contacts, calendar and emails from Windows Live Mail with 9320?If not, do I end up needing to use something like Microsoft Outlook 2010?
When I press a contact to call, tge 2 SIM option doesn't appear from the first time, I have to choose the contact twice for ot to respond and call..Seriously I'm disappointed with the number of issues with this phone software.
My boss Frank has an HTC One M9. We had a colleague Brian whos number was saved on Franks phone. Brian has now left the company and the phone was given to his replacement Paul.
Frank has change the contact in his phone from Brian to Paul. When Paul calls Frank it still shows as Brian. I have check on the phone and can't find any trace of Brian. We use IBM Notes for email/contact which is synced to Franks phone and there is no longer any contact in IBM Notes relating to Frank.
I am having big problems with my contacts. they are all stored in my phone, but everytime, one of my contacts call me it always comes up as unknown number, meanwhile i have their number and contact stored on my phone. or even when i dont have their number, it still comes up as unkown instad of just showing their number. this is extremly, bad and irritating as i never know who is calling me. My balckberry model is Bol 9790..
how to know that who is calling me this is becase everytime someone calls me from the number which is not saved in my contacts is showed as unknown number and the number cannot be viewed.
I realise there are several similar threads about names not displaying with the incredible s, but I can't seem to find one that deals with my issue specifically. All my contacts were stored and displaying correctly, then I changed service provider. In the changeover, now NO contact names display (although all my contacts are saved).like everyone, there are some people I'd like to either ignore / defer talking to
When I try to block contacts on my Motorola droid turbo I cannot find anything of the sort. On previous android phones the ability has been in settings with easy to find access. But now I am unable to prevent calls and texts from reaching me.
I just upgraded my phone to gingerbread and noticed that the way contacts are handled under calling in the car dock has changed. Previouly when tapping on a contact, I would be able to choose which number to dial. Now, it seems I need to assign a contact button for each number. e.g. one button for "Bob Home" and one for "Bob Cell". Seems to be a step backwards. Is there anyway to return the contact behavior back to the way it was?
I just got a Curve 9300 2 weeks ago and it was working perfectly until one morning the browser stopped working. Everytime i press on the browser icon, nothing happens even when i'm connected to wi-fi. When i open emails using my limited data plan and try to open the links, nothing happens. I mean, i get to open the mail but not the links in it.
For several weeks now I have been unable to open the calandar app.All other apps are working. When touching the calendar app icon, the system does not respond. In order to select something else, I must first touch the "Hang Up Phone" icon on lower right of panel. Touching return does nothing at this point.
When I click on the calendar icon on the home page it won't open, it just locks up the phone. I'm trying to wipe out all entries on the calendar (thousands of duplicate entries). I have done several battery pulls and I went in and checked the cpu usage (it is so slow) and found that between the OS and Calendar they are using 90 plus percent.
I downloaded the latest update and everything works fine. But now i noticed that i can´t open the calendar in the phone. When i try entering the calendar a popup message comes up : "com.android.calendar whas unexpectedly stopped"
Everytime I check my phones calendar, it open to a different year. How can I set my phone to ensure that the calendar always opens to the current month.
