Nov 12, 2011
Basically my friend made a backup for my phone in is Mac and sent me that document through email. when I came home and tried opening the email, it wont open? I would basically like to know how to see my contacts that have been saved in there because they are very important and cannot afford to lose them.
I have old Nokia Phone 3230, I backup it Before Formatting , in restoration that backup has been restored expect Contacts, I wish to help me soon , There's up to 500 Contacts.
i Connect By bluetooth in backup .
1- i need my Contacts. 2- how to open my backup file on my computer to show my contacts on PC (the file have extension *.nbu)
I had Xperia X10 and in that I had taken Contacts backup and same saved in one Single VCF file for all 500 contacts and I want all that contacts in my New blackberry.
I have been trying to open the backup .IPD file in computer documents. One way to open files is with the reasearch in motion desktop manager, but I do not know where this is to open. Is there a free download that will allow me to read the text in the .IPD files?
Brilliant phone, everything I need, a bit of a learning curve but as a business alternative to the Blackberry and Iphone I cant think of much else I'd need, and at £10-£10 a month cheaper it's got to be a worthy contender up against the other two if you can do without the fancy bells and whistles which I dont need
However I need to import a load of contacts from an excel file and Outlook, and I'm struggling to find out how to do this, can anyone put me in the right direction?
Also I'd like to use it with an external keyboard for those times when I'm in a hotel and some more lengthy emails to send, the onboard keyboard is very good, but fiddly for extensive use.
Also is there a headset with single earpiece and mouthpiece? My kids use a similar device on their x-box, it'd be useful where I have to make a succession of phone calls, the supplied headset is basic and I dont like the two little earpieces for extended work
Also can anyone recommend a basic CRM for the E72, I think the range of apps is very limited and if this is going to challenge the BB I think some more business orientated apps, not necessarily complicated, but Nokia recommended would be really useful. I've seen some CRM's suitable for the E series but no idea how good/bad they are, there seems to be very little user-reviews on them.
When I am loading videos from system, system shows its copied when opened in my mobile showing that "Error Playing" and "Device Media Processor is Busy". I copied .AVI file only.
I had my Nokia N80 mobile phone stolen, and the only thing that I have to restore my data is the nbu backup file ( generated by Nokia Ovi Suite). Please, Does somebody know how to extract/export my contacts and SMS (text messages) from nbu backup file?
It says my iphone backup file was corrupted and I was asked to delete my backup file.where could I find the backup file to delete? I've searched everywhere and I couldnt find it.
I touched restore all factory settings and now I don't have any contact. I need them. I have installed Ovi Suite and I went to the restore tab menu but there it said you don't have .nbu backup.
I took a backup of my contacts before upgrading from1.6 and I was able to restore it to 2.1 but there was a recent update which I did. Now I am not able to restore the the Contacts. Others like call log & Messages are getting restored. I have 187 contacts which the backup shows. Can you assist on how to restore it.
This may be beyond the scope of this forum, but is there a relatively painless way to get the contacts out of iTunes into my Photon? The iPhone died and without it, I can't figure out how to get the contacts to sync. Is it possible to plug in an ipod to get it to work? I've tried different methods that I found online but have been largely unsuccessful.
Amazing feature...now..not only can you backup your contacts as a BB file but you can save them on your PC as normal contacts which have full details (email, numbers, etc.)
You can download version 6 here >>> https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads...247A852FAD3647
I can't open or read a PDF file I copied to my curve8250 from my laptop so I emailed it to my phone as an attachment and my phone has a little question mark in the little box in my email header when it arrives and if I try to open it I get then message "This attachment type cannot be viewed on your device". how I can read a PDF on my phone?
Why is my bb telling me it "cannot open" an xls and a doc file? I can find the files on my media card, but when I try to open them, I get the error message ... I'm using OS 4.5.something, so I'm assuming I have docs to go, but can find no reference to it on my bb anywhere in any menu, and cannot open the files? (I'm on a Sprint 8330, if that makes any diff ...)
I can not open an excel file from a web page when I'm using my Telus web browser. When I click on it it just goes to a blank white page on the internet of coding. I have excel installed on my phone with "Sheet to Go". I'm operating on the 5.0.0.654 system and my phone says there are no updates for me.
I need to put the back up from my old device on to my new Blackberry, but I no longer have my old Blackberry, and I need my contacts, and my device manager says I have to have the old one to do this. Is there any way I can just transfer the back-up file on to my new phone?
I just upgraded the software to version 4.5 and in doing so lost all my photos and addresses. I see that a backup file was created (named LoaderBackup-(2010-08-08).ipd) that now resides on my computer. Is there a way for me to access this file to restore photos and addresses, etc? I'm willing to go back to the previous software version to do this.
I had a Blackberry Curve 8130. It began to have issues last week, so I did a back-up of the data on it and tried to upgrade the software to see if that would fix it. After a little over 6 hours into the process, the status bar stoped moving on it. It was in the final stages of putting the information back onto my phone. I still have the.ipd file on my laptop, but I do not know how to get the information saved on that file back into my phone. I went today and bought a new Blackberry Bold and the store tried to access my contact information from my old phone to move them to my new phone, but they said they could not recover anything from it. Is there a way to get the information from the saved file back onto my old phone so that I can sync it to my computer and access the contacts information so that I can then add them to my new Blackberry?
I have BB Desktop Manager 5.0.1 and I am un able to syncronize my Contacts with Windows Live Mail from Windows 7. The only options the Desktop Manager offers are: Outlook Express, Importad./Exportad. ASCII adn Yahoo.
I was able to use Ovi suite fine before I recently reinstalled XP on my system. But now when I connect the N8 I get the "Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)" error. Have tried uninstalling and re-adding the hardware, but keep getting the same problem. Have tried installing drivers from the download on the Nokia site, version 7.1.34.0, but it refuses to do so, telling me I have more up to date drivers already installed (although the installed ones seem to be 7.1.32.62, which is older, isn't it..?)
I got a new 9380 and wondering what options I have to import my contacts from SAMSUNG Android to BB 9380Is it possible to import contacts from text file, csv or a excel file in to it.
