BB Curve :: 9300 - When Open Emails Using Limited Data Plan And Try To Open The Links, Nothing Happens
Mar 26, 2011I just got a Curve 9300 2 weeks ago and it was working perfectly until one morning the browser stopped working. Everytime i press on the browser icon, nothing happens even when i'm connected to wi-fi. When i open emails using my limited data plan and try to open the links, nothing happens. I mean, i get to open the mail but not the links in it.

Sep 23, 2011Although my WMV formatted Videos play fine on my home computer, I had no problem transferring them to my Bionic SD Card. Rather than playing, a small blue box opens at the bottom, which says "unable to open this type of file". Confirmed that the pre-installed Player should play MP4 and WMV. I tell them about my error message, and they recommend downloading the VLC Media Player (which works great on all files on my home computer, even on AVI and FLV files). Still won't play, so they refer me to Motorola, but before I call them, I also download, the seemingly popular MoboPlayer and MX Video Player.
The Motorola second level of support tells me to convert them from WMV to WMV, although my experience with Motorola's Tech support is that I sense that due to our mother tongues, it might be my fault for not parsing my words carefully enough. Feel free to contribute your WMV (or MP4 experience) to this thread, as the last advice that the Motorola Level 2 Tech Support gave me was to go to "setting", then "privacy" and then "restore data reset".

Apr 9, 2012Recently I've bought curve 9300 - so far it looks to be the best phoned I had so far.But yesterday I finally decided to install desktop software and check some other functions of the phone. And that's when I found a problem. I haven't installed ny media card, but there's some free space showing on the built memory.I've wanted to upload a couple of multimedia files ( .mp3 - using "file" button, I'm not using Itunes, Windows media etc).I got an info that maximum allowed file size has been exceeded (I'm not sure it's excat phrase as I had to translate it from Polish). What's wrong? I'm pretty darn sure that file I wanted to upload is smaller than free space (mp3 of around 5MB).

Jun 21, 2012I am also having issues with the phone! Since I updated my software 2 weeks ago my app world stopped working and now I cannot download it after deleting it. About a month ago when downloading mp3's it all of a sudden started having format issues even though the music is in the supported format. My photos that were taken with the camera turned to thumbnails that cannot be opened and that is why I decided to update the software in the first place. Since the new software update I now also have a java.lang.error when ever I reboot the phone. I have deleted all third party apps and the error persists. Is any of this indicative of a corrupt media card??

I'm in South Africa and my Carrier is Vodacom-SA.Before the upgrade I could access MP3skull.com and BeeMP3 (music DL sites) with no problem and buffering was minimal. Now, after the upgrade, Beemp3 buffers music for eons and MP3skull's home page won't open at all... Apr 7, 2011Is there a known issue with the 9300 not charging. I purchased my first in December 2010 by mid Feb 2011 it had stopped charging. I returned the phone to my carrier in the uk 3. The phone was unrepairable and was replaced under warranty. Now the replacement phone has the same problem but they are saying that it is a user issue and not a warranty issue. If they are to repair it, I need to pay £119 which is ridiculous as I could buy a new one for £179. They have told me that the charging connection is damaged on one of the internal terminals.

Nov 12, 2011i am using curve 9300 3G, I am unable to use Internet on my device. I am able to use my enterprise mails, personal mails, BBM, and other applications available in my handset. It is just that Internet does not work.. My OS is version 6 .another colleague of mine who is using OS version 5 had a similar problem but it got resolved after he changed browser settings in Advanced Options- browser- Default Browser configuration- changed from Blackberry browser to Internet Browser - after that again browser options and select all ( support Java script, allow java script pop ups, terminate slow running scripts, show images, use background images, support embedded media) after that Cache options, clear all ( content cache, pushed content, cookie chache) . There after he went to host routing table and register .. Post which after hard boot he was able to access Internet.My problem is my OS version is 6 and I do not have advanced options tab in my handset and hence I am unable to change settings.
