BB Curve :: Unable To Upgrade 9300 Curve From OS 5 To OS6?
Jun 22, 2011I finally joined the BB community and I am really enjoying my 9300 Curve.Recently I saw that a friend of mine had the OS 6 system on and I have been trying to upgrade my OS 5 to 6. However,Things I have tried so far: I have used the desktop software's upgrade function to upgrade but every time I get the message that, there is no upgrade available. I also downloaded my carrier (MTN - South Africa) specific software the "9300M_PBr6.0.0_rel1879_PL6.6.0.124_A6.0.0.448" file and installed it onto my computer. I then connected my BB and tried to upgrade but was still unsuccessful.

Apr 6, 2011On Vodafone, i go through the desktop manager, and it gets to the screen telling me to pick which applications i would like to install, then it tells me that my device has no memory to install the updates... yet if i go onto the device it says it has 130.5mb of application memory free and 1.8GB of media card memory free..

Aug 30, 2012After upgrading my BlackBerry Curve 3G (9300) to OS 6 bundle 2949 there's no chance to disconnect a phone call (to end a call); neither by clicking the red button nor by using the BlackBerry-Menu. I just can disconnect by putting my BB in holster or by clicking on the connect/disconnect-button of my bluetooth-headset. (Of course this works only if I'm using it and if it's connected.). Otherwise I have to wait, until the other one hangs up. But that doesn't work, if I check my voicemail, because it waits for my disconnect.

Dec 29, 2011I am going to try to make this as simple and short as possible. I have a 9300 and it was due for upgrade from A T & T spouse has Iphone wanted new one not in upgrade period. Used my number to do upgrade now email doesn't work on 9300. AT & T Tech tried to help but it was a no go. They stated that Rim might have disabled something but not sure any assistance is wonderful. Apr 7, 2011Is there a known issue with the 9300 not charging. I purchased my first in December 2010 by mid Feb 2011 it had stopped charging. I returned the phone to my carrier in the uk 3. The phone was unrepairable and was replaced under warranty. Now the replacement phone has the same problem but they are saying that it is a user issue and not a warranty issue. If they are to repair it, I need to pay £119 which is ridiculous as I could buy a new one for £179. They have told me that the charging connection is damaged on one of the internal terminals.

Nov 12, 2011i am using curve 9300 3G, I am unable to use Internet on my device. I am able to use my enterprise mails, personal mails, BBM, and other applications available in my handset. It is just that Internet does not work.. My OS is version 6 .another colleague of mine who is using OS version 5 had a similar problem but it got resolved after he changed browser settings in Advanced Options- browser- Default Browser configuration- changed from Blackberry browser to Internet Browser - after that again browser options and select all ( support Java script, allow java script pop ups, terminate slow running scripts, show images, use background images, support embedded media) after that Cache options, clear all ( content cache, pushed content, cookie chache) . There after he went to host routing table and register .. Post which after hard boot he was able to access Internet.My problem is my OS version is 6 and I do not have advanced options tab in my handset and hence I am unable to change settings.
