I had Xperia X10 and in that I had taken Contacts backup and same saved in one Single VCF file for all 500 contacts and I want all that contacts in my New blackberry.

I touched restore all factory settings and now I don't have any contact. I need them. I have installed Ovi Suite and I went to the restore tab menu but there it said you don't have .nbu backup.

I took a backup of my contacts before upgrading from1.6 and I was able to restore it to 2.1 but there was a recent update which I did. Now I am not able to restore the the Contacts. Others like call log & Messages are getting restored. I have 187 contacts which the backup shows. Can you assist on how to restore it.

This may be beyond the scope of this forum, but is there a relatively painless way to get the contacts out of iTunes into my Photon? The iPhone died and without it, I can't figure out how to get the contacts to sync. Is it possible to plug in an ipod to get it to work? After a little over 6 hours into the process, the status bar stoped moving on it. It was in the final stages of putting the information back onto my phone. I still have the.ipd file on my laptop, but I do not know how to get the information saved on that file back into my phone. I went today and bought a new Blackberry Bold and the store tried to access my contact information from my old phone to move them to my new phone, but they said they could not recover anything from it. Is there a way to get the information from the saved file back onto my old phone so that I can sync it to my computer and access the contacts information so that I can then add them to my new Blackberry?

I emailed before and used 'synchronising' as a term,b ut am now wondering as seems more confusing with email needed etc.I used to have Palm Pilot with which you just connected to the cable, pressed a button and everything was in line on desktop and visible. Here, wehn i tried backup, it was in a program my desktop couldn't read, and the syncornising document I have received is even worse, not only does it not seem to work, but from the comments form others it seems a mess.

View 2 Replies View Relatedi have problem in restoring data i backed up before upgrading the firmware from 4.62 to latest 7.23 and managing a full restore of my quite old supernova 7210, as i wasn't able to let nokia pc suite recognizing the phone (error every time i plug the phone).i created an internal nokia backup file (NBF) with messages, calendar, settings and contacts.i updated the firmware and now i'm trying to restore everything i need.now the issue: i'm able to restore "contacts", "settings" and "calendar", but when i check also "messages" option, after 2% of completion the phone told me that there's "no backup file available".what can i do now?i know those NBF files are zip files; is not possible to create a new backup file and merge the old messages folder "predefmessages", stored in the original NBF-zip file, into the new one?

View 8 Replies View RelatedI attempted a jailbreak through jailbreakme.com but it didn't work and bricked the phone. So I restored to factory settings which put 4.0.2 on my phone. No biggie it wasn't that big of a deal to jailbreak anyway so I was just going to go back to my old settings on 4.0.2.
Unfortunately it backed up again real quick after updating and now when I want to restore from the backup it just gives me factory settings. I do have a big 8gb backup dated from before the jailbreak fiasco in MobileSync>Backup but I have no clue how to get it onto my phone.
I thought I would ask first rather than just doing it. For back up purposes I want to change the file name of my back ups. Any problem with that as long as I know what they are. I am not going to change the destination folder.

I have located the backup files on my PC, which is under some geberrish file name in my hard drive. I have two backup files, one from 1 week ago, one from this week. How can I choose to restore from the file that I backed up a week ago?
