I used to have a Palm Pilot, and quite easily on there, when you synchronised with computer, you could get your calendar coming up; can the same be done on a blackberry 8520?

View 1 Replies View RelatedFor no apparent reason, whenever I attempt to synchronize, the calendar does not synch with my Lotus Notes (the address book does) and Desktop Manager shuts itself down. I am now getting a dialogue box stating "the default service for your device's calendar has changed since the last time you synchronized." I don't recall changing anything. I have attempted to change the default service from Yahoo (my email comes from this account as work doesn't authorize the Lotus Notes email on the phone) to Lotus Notes and it's not even an option.

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy iPhone 5s has been upgraded to iOS 7.1.2 recently. I used to synchronize my exchange account at work to my personal iPhone for email pushing and calendar. It was very convenient for having meeting alarm on my phone as well.Â
Nevertheless, I noted that the synchronzation of calendar is unsatisfactory recently. Namely, the recent meeting calendars are synced while some older calendar on my exchange account is missing on my phone. Precisely, the synchronization is not completed. Strangely, some meetings are synchronized, but some won't for a same day. Â
I feel unsecure as I may miss some important meetings because of that. I have tried to remove the exhcnage account and add again, but no luck.

In the older version of the Desktop Manager software, one of the options offered for synchronizing my Blackberry with my computer was Yahoo. With the new version of Desktop Manager (5.0.1) this option does not appear. Is this no longer available? I would rather not change to Microsoft Outlook (there seem to be lots of problems synching with that).

My calendar appointments come through OK but I always noticed that I cannot see the attendees/invitees for meetings that are booked in my Outlook calendar. I thought that was a limitation in the sync then I noticed one of my coworkers had the same meeting invite synced to their iPhone and they could see the names of the people included in the meeting. I asked them about it but they had no idea how they did it. Is there a setting in iTunes or the iPhone which controls this?

I use a BB Torch (NO keyboard model); I use Win XP?I have been using outlook for my contacts?I have been synchronizing the same with Black berry contacts over some time Now suddenly I am unable to synch When I connect the device and try to synchronize (from organizer tab) The bb desktop software on PC says "Sychronisation is currently unawailable for address book because the application(s) is (are) configured for wireless synchronization. Desktop synchronization for the above application(s) will be disabled.
I've opened the device and disabled wireless synch from Contacts -> Options -> Desktop -> Wireless synch -> check off, still nothing happens ? I've logged off and on the computer what else should I do ? Switch off device and reboot ? Remove battery on device and re book ? I also use my enterprise mail on this devise so I can_not_ delete all desktop entries from advance options?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI need viewing a shared outlook calendar. I have my outlook email account set up and synced to my Nexus 5, however I cannot seem to be able to view my Boss' calendar.
My gmail calendar items show in BLUE and my outlook calendar items show in RED, I want my shared calendar items to show as well (preferably a different colour). On my computer I can view my boss' calendar and I need this for work. As I work out of the office sometimes and need access to my boss' calendar I would like it to be on my mobile as well.
When I setup the phone, it gave me an option to synchronize my contacts with Gmail, which I did. But now, the contacts are not synchronizing. In between I added the Facebook application as well. FB contacts are syncing.Another thing, inside the options for my gmail contact list the Wireless Synchronization option is marked -"Not Available" and cannot be changed.I want to synchronize my contacts on BB with those on Gmail.

1. I have setup a filter to only synchronize contacts where the category equals Personal or Business.
2. The rules is set to "one of more conditions must be met"
3. In Outlook I have some contacts that are assigned to multiple categories, for example Personal and Family
4. These contacts are not being sync'd to my device

My music is playing up on my phone, so if i go to deelte a playlist there is no option to delete it, only the share etc option, also if i go to add a song to a playlist , the list of playlists does not show , only an option to start a new playlist shows up, so basically i have to make a new playlist per each song, obviously this can`t be right.

I emailed before and used 'synchronising' as a term,b ut am now wondering as seems more confusing with email needed etc.I used to have Palm Pilot with which you just connected to the cable, pressed a button and everything was in line on desktop and visible. I am new to the Blackberry game, having used Nokia smartphones mostly.I got a Blackberry Curve 3G 9300 couple of days back. It came with OS 5 pre-installed. I got a BB plan activated with my provider (Airtel - www.airtel.in ) and got it to sync my work email, contacts and calendar using the BIS site. My employer uses Google Apps Premier Edition, so it was a rather painless process.Afterwards, I upgraded the device to OS6. Once the upgrade was complete, my emails started syncing automatically - nothing really needed from my side. But the Calendar and Contacts do not sync any more. I can see that the checkboxes for Calendar and Contacts are enabled both on the BIS site as well as the device, but they simply do not sync.
