BB Curve :: 8520 Calendar Not Syncing With Outlook
Sep 25, 2012I have setup a blackberry 8520 using our Blackberry Enterprise Server (BES). The blackberry setup completes without error as does the enterprise activation on the device. Everything works ok on the Blackberry except for the calendar which does not sync across any changes to the outlook desktop. If a change(e.g. new entry) is made on the users outlook desktop it does get synched across to the Blackberry.
If the calendar entry is then deleted on the blackberry it gets synched across to the desktop. The problem is only in one direction e.g. from the Blackberry to the desktop. So far I have removed the user from the BES and restarted the BES. Added the user back in to the BES. Wiped the handheld and run the enterprise activation but the problem still exists. This seems to be an isolated problem as we have approximately 20 Blackberry users using BES and all don't have any issues.

Mar 4, 2011I have had my blackberry for over a year and recently it stopped syncing my BB calendar with my outlook. It syncs the address book, tasks and memos fine, but totally skips over the calendar. I have seen several suggestions on here and tried them but still doesn't workt says on the BB desktop software that my BB doesn't have a calendar installed but it does and it works fine on the device it just won' sync. There are 2 calendars on the device Facebook (which if I knew how I would delete) and my email address

Jan 17, 2012I found the directions on this site how to sync my outlook calendar to my bb, but it won't work. Everytime I add another email it gives me a prompt that it already exists.The other issue that may be causing the problem is I have a pay ahead plan without the blackberry plan which basically does everything but I can't email, I can read them can't reply. So would that be the issue in syncing my calendar?

If it turn off the calander sync option then I have no problem with the contacts sync.I have been searching forums for this error and I found 1 that referenced the fact that if I had put any attachments in the Outlook calander such as meeting notes or PDF's that the Blueberry wouldn't sync. Is this true? I have many files attached to calendar dates.

I don't know if it is using the internal mem., but I don't see a way to direct it to use the SD card. It also mentions that it is getting email info from Outlook. Does this mean that it is also syncing the address book? I only want to keep the calendar on the phone synced. Anyone have any input?

Dec 3, 2012The calendar is not syncing wireless with outlook 2010 calendar, I followed the instructions manual, but the option menu in calendar does not show any wireless sync option (tickmark)!
the only options are showing only the following:
- Calendar Display
- Conference calling
- Date & Time
- Accounts:
*email account1
*email account2
*email account3
#Appointment color
#display reminder
#number of entries
the email account is already defined as the default account for calendar (CICAL)!! My colleauge have 9790 using the same server, and the same setting, and the calendar is sync properly through wireless. I tried sync throug bb Desktop Manager, it worked. I dont have BES, so I set up my Microsoft Exchange email as internet based account. the emails are being sync properly between handheld and the server.
