BB Curve :: No Longer Able To Sync 8520 To Outlook?
Jun 18, 2012
For some reason when I try to sync my phone to outlook I get the window saying synchronising data followed by another window saying select one or more items to sync. Both contacts and calendar are selected and I haven't changed anything, all I have done was leaving the country for a few days and now I am back the synchronisation no longer works. When I go to the organizer tab, calendar and contacts are ticked but when I click to configure I get an error message?
When I try to sync the contact list from outlook I get the error "unable to read application Data". I can sync my calendar, tasks and memos from Outlook, but for some reason I have problems with the contacts. I have a Curve 8520
I purchased and have been happily using b torch 9800 since sometime early this year. It has always synced smoothly through h Outlook with my calendar, contacts, tasks and notes - but no longer. Several weeks ago I installed the new BlackBerry update. Now all I have is a phone and some nice photos and info about appointments I had weeks ago. I admit that I am technologically challenged, but "the tech guy" at work is stumped also. it appears to go through the motions of syncing (connecting to outlook, reviewing contacts, calendar, etc.)but when it announces completion nothing has updated on my bb. Tech guy tried to install the update but couldn't successfully revert to prior version. For now I'm back to writing down my appointments on paper and calling my office when I need the tel number for a recently new client , but that's already old. Apparently I'm not the only one with this bb created problem. I assume bb has a patch or will real soon
I'm done banging my head against a wall and have searched and searched on how to fix this, as although I'm a newbie to this site, I feel like I can generally navigate myself around my BB to fix issues here and there. This one, I cannot, for the life of me! Here's the situation: I had to wipe my entire BB Bold the other day. I did that successful, reloaded all my settings/applications and all was well and good, including syncing my Calendar and Contacts. I realized that my contacts were double, triple and sometimes quadropled during the syncing process, thus having the duplicates on both my device and Outlook. Not to mention, totally reconfigured my "File As" in my Outlook - but that's another topic. Issue at hand, after turning the Wireless Syncronization OFF, checking my Default services and following any advice here on the forums. I now can't get ANY of my contacts to sync from Outlook to my device. Except 2 random contacts. When I go to sync, it registers the address book and asks if I want to delete 8XX contacts from Outlook to Device, which I DON't!Anyway, long winded.
I have just had an automatic upgrade of my BlackBerry software to 6.0, Bundle 2949. I can no longer sync to and fro Outlook 2003. I get a message telling me that my organiser data is not configured and when I try to reconfigure I get exactly the same message!
I was wondering if you could help me. I have problems connecting to wifi when abroad, meaning not using anz carriers services. My phone finds a network and it is visible on the phone, but it is not available. As a problem it stated that IP address no longer valid.Could you please tell me what should I do? I am desperate as need to use my blackberry.
Today the volume up button on right side of my Curve 8520 no longer works. Is there a fix? Is there another way I can control my volume when listening to music? I really don't want to replace my current Curve if I can.
I've noticed that when the Blackberry loading page start up and the little status bar reaches full, it takes a few seconds longer to bring me to the home page. Before, it would fill up, then like 2 seconds later the carrier splash page would come up and then my homescreen. Now, it stays on the black Blackberry loading page for at least 10 seconds before the carrier logo comes up. Is this normal? I don't my phone to die on me or something.
For some reason I no longer have the status bar at the top of my browser screen. It used to be that I could see how I was connected with either the wifi symbol or the gprs symbol and I could also see the connection symbol (white square with 2 green squares). Im guessing that it could be a browser setting that needs changing but I cant find it.
My trackpad can still move right, left, up and down. However, the press function is no longer working as well as the entire keypad. The phone is working normally, I can receive text, calls, bbms, etc. However, I cannot just view and answer. I tried to update my OS, put a paper over the battery to tighten, I have removed the battery pack and replace a million times, tried to re-charge, removed sim and memory card and re-place but none of these tricks seem to work. I am hesitant to open it up because it will void the warranty.
I got an unlocked blackberry curve 8520 in February. I did get it from Poland but everything is the same. I don't have a data package, but about a two weeks ago I found out I could connect to wifi anyways. I did this and it worked at my house all day that day. Then I left and when I came back it wouldn't connect to the router it was previously connected to or any others. After searching forums I've tried changing all kinds of settings but they all seem to be where they were supposed to be. I did notice though when I'm in 'options> wifi> menu> wifi tools> wifi diagnostics the status bar says "IP address no loner valid" for all the routers I try to connect to.
my bb 8520 no longer allows me to add a new contact or edit existing contacts. It doesn't even open when I click on the contact shortcut. Even did a virus scan but no viruses were detected.
I have setup a blackberry 8520 using our Blackberry Enterprise Server (BES). The blackberry setup completes without error as does the enterprise activation on the device. Everything works ok on the Blackberry except for the calendar which does not sync across any changes to the outlook desktop. If a change(e.g. new entry) is made on the users outlook desktop it does get synched across to the Blackberry.
If the calendar entry is then deleted on the blackberry it gets synched across to the desktop. The problem is only in one direction e.g. from the Blackberry to the desktop. So far I have removed the user from the BES and restarted the BES. Added the user back in to the BES. Wiped the handheld and run the enterprise activation but the problem still exists. This seems to be an isolated problem as we have approximately 20 Blackberry users using BES and all don't have any issues.
I have had a Curve for over a Year and a half and ever since I got it I have had it set up to my work email through my exchange server with no problems. I upgraded to the new curve in Feb and I had the Sprint store set everything up. Starting yesterday I will receive emails on my blackberry but they will never show up in my inbox in Outlook. Its kinda of a big problem. I have checked and my outlook is not running in cached mode. I have tried sending service books and check the options on the phone and in outlook and I have no clue whats going on.
I am trying to 'push' all my email accounts to my Curve 8520 as i have unlimited 'push' email on my price plan. I have serveral different email addresses. One is hotmail (i think i have got this set up ok - except i keep getting repeat deliveries of emails to my outlook inbox?) on is for my own website and another is for a company that i do work for. I don't know much about computers etc so please go easy with me! I have outlook set up to receive all emails - can these be 'pushed' from outlook to BB?
My company just recently singed a contract with AT&T. Nearly all the employees were provided with Blackberry Curve 9360's. We use an Exchange Server (remote desktop)and Microsoft Outlook. Is there a way to sync the Curve 9360 with an Exchange Server (remote desktop) and Microsoft Outlook?
how i get my outlook to sync with my blackberry.I have gone into set up and email accounts and enterprise account but i dont have an email and activation password? Which email is it and where do i get an activation password from.
I have had my blackberry for over a year and recently it stopped syncing my BB calendar with my outlook. It syncs the address book, tasks and memos fine, but totally skips over the calendar. I have seen several suggestions on here and tried them but still doesn't workt says on the BB desktop software that my BB doesn't have a calendar installed but it does and it works fine on the device it just won' sync. There are 2 calendars on the device Facebook (which if I knew how I would delete) and my email address
I am using a 8520 and outlook 2010. When I try to set up the organizer settings I keep getting an error message saying 'The operation terminated unexpectedly'
I am running windows 7 and just want to sync my calendar instead of having to enter them manually.
I have just upgraded from a Curve 8310 to a Curve 9300. The former was set up to sync with Outlook 2007 with no problems using an older version of the Desktop software. I have now installed the Version 6 software. The 9300 has "Outlook" as an option but refuses to accept the settings and will not Sync. Strangely, I can set it to Sync with Yahoo but Yahoo no longer seems to support Blackberry and my Calendar won't now appear at all in Yahoo after attempting to Sync.
I recently allowed Blackberry to update its software on my computer. When I next ran it, it asked for a name for the files on the computer with which to sync. It offered Brant and Outlook (not Outlook1, which I also have for e-mail). I do not understand what it is asking for and have tried both Brant and Outlook. It will not syncronize. With Brant selected, it will not even try. With Outlook selected, it tries and then tells me that it can no sync a calendar entry, then stops.
I found the directions on this site how to sync my outlook calendar to my bb, but it won't work. Everytime I add another email it gives me a prompt that it already exists. The other issue that may be causing the problem is I have a pay ahead plan without the blackberry plan which basically does everything but I can't email, I can read them can't reply. So would that be the issue in syncing my calendar?
Been searching around, and here's my dilemma. I have an Outlook account at work that is on their server. Is there anyway that I can sync my Outlook calendar to my Blackberry without having BES? Any work around?
I have a Blackberry Curve 8300 I just got. I need to sync my Outlook Calendar information on my work computer. At work we are NO LONGER using Exchange Server. It gave up the ghost a couple of years ago for some unknown reason and there were not fixes available according to IT.Anyway, I connect the device but do not find applications that will work. No ali or alx files to be found. The whole reason I went to this phone was because it was supposed to work with Outlook from what I understood, and get email.
Brand new Curve 8500 series. I d/led Desktop Manager 5.0.1 - English w/ media. I'm trying to set up to sync to Outlook (calendar, contacts, memos, tasks), but Outlook doesn't appear as an option to sync to for any of these. The only options are ASCII Import/Export and Yahoo. I have Outlook 2007, and my old BB Pearl had no problems sync'ing to this program. I thought maybe Outlook would show up under Add-In Modules, but it doesn't.
I lost my hard dirve Friday and have had to reload all my softwar on a new hard dirve. My IT guy upgraded my outlook to 2010 and now my 8310 wont sync. I get a warning code 0x3b21. I am running bb 4.6 software and I am running xp os. My bb sync just fine before the crash, but I was running outlook 2003.
