A few weeks ago there was a software update to BlackBerry Desktop which now precludes me from synching the new Contacts from my Outlook on computer to the device (Torch9810).
I have tried unsuccessfully to turn off wireless snchronization but this device doesn't have that option. I went to Contacts --> Options --> Synchronization but the only alternative there is to uncheck AT&T Address Book Automatic Synchronization.
It doesn't import new Contacts either way (checked or not). Used to before the software update I relunctantly downloaded. But not now.
I want to push my outlook 2010 contacts to my BES enabled Torch 9810 on AT&T running 7.0 Bundle 1355(v7.0.0.261 Platform 5.0.0.469).When I go into Desktop Manager 6.1.0.35 it says my calendar and Address book are syncing wirelessly. Nothing I've tried gets Desktop Manager to recognize that I've turned off wireless synchronization.
I've tried going to Messages->Menu->Options->Email Reconciliation and clearing the Wireless Reconcile checkbox. I do the same thing in Desktop->Menu->Options->Email Reconciliation and clearing the Wireless Reconcile checkbox.Other posts on the internet talk about going into the contacts application, going to options and shutting off wireless synchronization, however I think this is for other devices. There is nothing in there about wireless synchronization.
I have just recieved a replacement and successfully completed all necessary transfers except for one thing. I cannot synchronise Outlook calendar or tasks properly. I am asked to go to the device, go to options, and turn off wireless snc. Problem is, there the options menu does not have a box for wireless sync.

Contact your wireless service provider."Now I'm not saying I don't enjoy spending an afternoon chatting with Rogers but is there anyway to fix this without having to waste an afternoon?

I am trying to sync my Torch via the usb cable with my Outlook calender. I have set it all up ok, apart from the desktop software is unable to sync until I turn off the "wireless sync". I follow the prompt explaining how to do it...Turn off wireless synchronization. To synchronize your organizer data, you must turn off wireless synchronization for each type of organizer data that you want to synchronize using the BlackBerry Desktop Software. On your BlackBerry device, in the Calendar application, Contacts application, Tasks application, or MemoPad, press the Menu key > Options. If necessary, click a calendar or contact list.Change the Wireless Synchronization field to No or clear the Wireless Synchronization check box.Press the Menu key > Save.I don't have the "Wireless Synchronization yes/no option?
I am new to Blackberry, the proud owner of a Torch 9810. I love a lot of things about it except e-mail handling.I am having to manually delete mails already deleted from my laptop. My Torch is not reconciling my Gmail automatically; in fact, when I go to the BB menu in e-mail to manually reconcile by selecting that command, it still doesn't work. The above wouldn't bother me quite so badly if I didn't have to delete them (again) one at a time. I'm sure there must be a way to select multiple e-mails from my Inbox to delete en masse, but I haven't hit upon it yet.

But it just will not start automatically when I plus the iphone into the charger,I was under the impression t was supposed to start automatically?

When I used to sync my iPhone 4s by plugging in the wire connected to my iMac, the sync would first start with a back-up. Now that I have changed to wireless sync, it doesn't back up. Is there a back-up setting for wireless syncing that I missed? How do I get it to back-up with wireless syncing?
