Can not shut off the Wireless Sync on the Torch for Contacts or Address book. Want to Sync Microsoft Vista 7 - Outlook data with the torch but can not shut off the Wireless on the Torch by function.
View 1 RepliesI want to push my outlook 2010 contacts to my BES enabled Torch 9810 on AT&T running 7.0 Bundle 1355(v7.0.0.261 Platform 5.0.0.469).When I go into Desktop Manager 6.1.0.35 it says my calendar and Address book are syncing wirelessly. Nothing I've tried gets Desktop Manager to recognize that I've turned off wireless synchronization.
I've tried going to Messages->Menu->Options->Email Reconciliation and clearing the Wireless Reconcile checkbox. I do the same thing in Desktop->Menu->Options->Email Reconciliation and clearing the Wireless Reconcile checkbox.Other posts on the internet talk about going into the contacts application, going to options and shutting off wireless synchronization, however I think this is for other devices. There is nothing in there about wireless synchronization.

View 1 Replies View RelatedA few weeks ago there was a software update to BlackBerry Desktop which now precludes me from synching the new Contacts from my Outlook on computer to the device (Torch9810).
I have tried unsuccessfully to turn off wireless snchronization but this device doesn't have that option. I went to Contacts --> Options --> Synchronization but the only alternative there is to uncheck AT&T Address Book Automatic Synchronization.
It doesn't import new Contacts either way (checked or not). Used to before the software update I relunctantly downloaded. But not now.
For a long time I have just been syncing to outlook on my desktop. Now my job requires that I have wireless sync to the online calendar at work. Only my calendar syncs wirelessly. I can still sync notes, tasks, contacts to outlook.I would like to be able to do at least a one-way sync from device to outlook. I tried temporarily disabling the wireless sync on the calendar, but it didn't work.So, in a nutshell, how can I wirelessly sync to my work calendar, AND desktop sync to outlook at home.

When I plug the iphone into the mains charger (not connected via USB to the Mac) the sync over wireless does not start. If I go into settings - general - itunes wifi sync on the iphone and chosse to manually start the sync, the sync works fine. But it just will not start automatically when I plus the iphone into the charger,I was under the impression t was supposed to start automatically?

When I used to sync my iPhone 4s by plugging in the wire connected to my iMac, the sync would first start with a back-up. Now that I have changed to wireless sync, it doesn't back up. Is there a back-up setting for wireless syncing that I missed? How do I get it to back-up with wireless syncing?

I've tried taking the battery out, I've reset it a few times and I'm working on reinstalling the operating system.
I've read a bunch of forums and most places say that I have to do an operating system reinstall every few months because THIS IS A FEATURE OF THIS PHONE? Is there a permanent fix for this or do I have to switch back to my android?
I have just recieved a replacement and successfully completed all necessary transfers except for one thing. I cannot synchronise Outlook calendar or tasks properly. I am asked to go to the device, go to options, and turn off wireless snc. Problem is, there the options menu does not have a box for wireless sync.

1. that email always show "not available" on wireless sync on the contact list properties. while my Gmail email has option yes/no wireless sync.
2. also it doesn't show on the SYNC contact list on default services
3. how I can merge all my backup emails, to be just 1 email for backup data?

had my SGS2 delivered this morning which I plan to use instead of my business Blackberry.
For client data I run a CRM. This is then exported manually to CSV and uploaded into Outlook. (the CRM provider is working on an auto-sync for Outlook but that's another matter).
Anyway, at present I then sync Outlook contacts with my Blackberry manually via USB. However, now I'm switching to the S2 I'm hoping this can all be done automatically, two-way and obviously wirelessly...can it?
I'd then like to take it a step further and have my Outlook calendar and tasks sync on exactly the same basis i.e. auto, two-way & wirelessly...can this be done?
I've been told to look at Office365 but feel it's a tad OTT for my needs. However, I've got no issue paying for the right app/service if it can all be done.
I have a problem. I have 2 Desktops contact lists, and only one of those is NOT Wireless Sync. To this one I can't even syncronize them with the Desktop Manager. How can I pass all these contacts into a sync form? I need this contacts to be on my Outlook.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have seen people having several problems with sync'ing. My problem is probably a variation of the basic underlying problem.I got my Motoactv a couple of days ago. I did a workout, and then tried to sync it wirelessly. I tried several times, but each time it gave me a network error. So then I connected the device to the computer via USB and the sync was successful.The next day, I did a couple of workouts. This time both the wireless and USB syncs failed numerous times. After reading several other posts, I did a factory reset.I then did a workout, and tried the wireless sync, and that failed. I didn't try the USB sync at that time. I went to bed, and when I got up this morning, Motoacdtv said that the sync was successful. So sometime during the night, the wireless sync occurred. I then did another workout today, and then did a USB sync which was successful. Another workout, and then the wireless sync (without intervention) worked.

When you are composing email/txt msg, once you touch the "send" icon on touchscreen the msg will just be sent immediately. I hate this because I might hit it randomly. Is there any way to add a confirmation window there?
