BB Bold :: 2 Desktops Contact Lists, And Only One Of Those Is NOT Wireless Sync?
Aug 29, 2012
I have a problem. I have 2 Desktops contact lists, and only one of those is NOT Wireless Sync. To this one I can't even syncronize them with the Desktop Manager. How can I pass all these contacts into a sync form? I need this contacts to be on my Outlook.
I plan to back up all my contacts with google sync but I just notice that I use 3 emails to back up my contacts. the main problem is 1 email that I use is company's email which i have resigned so.. it's about time, they deactivate my email & i can lose all my contacts.
1. that email always show "not available" on wireless sync on the contact list properties. while my Gmail email has option yes/no wireless sync.
2. also it doesn't show on the SYNC contact list on default services
3. how I can merge all my backup emails, to be just 1 email for backup data?
I have 2 Desktop contact lists on my phone. The First has all of the contacts that I really want to keep. However, I am unable to sync it either wirelessly or through the desktop application. The desktop application seems to be unable to find that list. I tried google sync, it also only finds the Second list.
I currently seem to have 3 occurrences of my desktop contact list on my BB, hence I get 3 entries for most of my contacts and when people call in I dont get the person's name displaying on my phone just the company name, very frustrating to have to select the right contact list every time I go into contacts.
I have a blackberry bold 9700 & have configured my email address to it but don't know how my contacts have two lists one list has 696 contacts the other has 325 want to merge them how to do it??
I have two contact lists in my blackberry but i want to transfer all the contacts to single one and delete the other one. Like I have contacts in abc@gmail.com and abc@hotmail.com, I want to transfer all the contacts of abc@hotmail.com to abc@gmail.com and delete abc@hotmail.com.
I downloaded the new OS but when I installed, I had to input all the details from my contacts list. Now I have two duplicate contact lists for each of my three email accounts. The real problem is that I cannot send a new email. I can reply to anything but anything new I try to write fails. Once I have hit sent, the top of the message show: Sent Using: Unknown
I am an Executive Assistant and use Microsoft Outlook on a daily basis. I have up to 3 or more different calendars created for various things. This is the same case as with my Contacts. I have a separate contact list for my boss as I do for myself. And with regard to the calendars, I do this so I can print him off a calendar at any time without it being affected by anyone else's or my own appointments showing up.
I am very familiar with Blackberry's and my work has awesomely provided me with a new BB Bold 9650.THE ISSUE: My BB is syncing all calendars and contact lists. I DO NOT want to sync all these calendars and contact lists.I just want to sync certain calendars and only certain contact lists. My BB is a crazy ol' mess with contacts showing up 2 and sometimes 3 times and the one calendar I can view on my BB has my boss' appointments with my appointments and other crazy appointments.I swear I think my appointments even have appointments. LOL! (cheesy joke).WHAT I DO KNOW: My company is using a "BES" (?) server for wireless syncing. I have already tried going into options>advanced options>default services to change the calendar I am picking up. It's stuck and I do not have the ability to change it. I am guessing it's b/c my job has the phone "locked" with an IT policy.
I have searched and searched online to try and figure out how to get around this to no avail. I spoke with Verizon and they said to contact my IT Department. I contacted my IT Department and they said to contact Verizon. BTW, the pi$$-ant in I have to work with in IT is in a wrank mood today as most days. Always testy and I would just love if I could call him up and tell his know-it-all punk a$$ what he needs to do to fix the problem. If it's something I can do on my own, that would be even better.
method of deleting an old email accoun in the contacts section of the handset?
I set up a second email account and synched all my contacts not thinking that the handset would show them all twice. I found that you could show only one set but i had to go into options and do this every time i wanted to display only one set of contacts on the device. In the end this drove me nuts and i've since deleted one email account as it is rarely used for anything other than purchasing things over the internet. I thought that this would resolve the issue and the deleted account disappeared as you would expect but there is a hangover in the contacts lists where it still shows both sets of contacts and i can see the old gmail account is still there. I've rebooted the device and been through all the menus and the only place this old email account exists is in the contacts folder.
Ideally i would like both accounts on the handset and for it to only display one set of contacts from one account at any time while still synching both email accounts when any changes are made on the handset.
I started in a new position not long ago with a BES Express server. First time BES admin, so go easy on me
I have a user who had a Bold 9700, which contained 5 address books all called Desktop. 3 of these were empty, one had 403 contacts and the other had 452 contacts. The one with 403 contacts sync'd up with Outlook no problem, however it seems as though whenever he added a contact directly to the device it went to the other list with 452. Blackberry Desktop can't seem to see these contacts to sync to the computer.
He was due a device upgrade, so we went to a Torch 9800. I backed up the data from his old device and restored it to the new one. Now I have 2 address books; one called Desktop with 403 items and the other called Unknown with 452 items. Again, the "Unknown" one can't be seen by Blackberry Desktop Software and won't sync to his PC.
All the fixes I've managed to find have involved deleting his lists on the device and resyncing from the Outlook client. This doesn't help me unfortunately, as he has hundreds of contacts on his device which don't exist in Outlook at all.
how I can either get the desktop software to see the "Unknown" list, or merge the two together.
I have just been given a 8900 as a replacement company phone, and in my stupidity I thought that now I have a 'smart' phone I can simply transfer my existing contact lists to my technological masterpiece . . . . well after spending 3 hours and reading till I am almost asleep I am none the wiser. I hope its just me being a dumbo . . . then again it could be RIM.

I've got contact lists on my BB that I don't even have email addresses for., different entries for the same person, etc. (I haven't sync'd addresses in the past because a lot of contacts I didn't want on my BB anyway) ..I've got addresses in Thunderbird and addresses in Yahoo... it's ridiculously disorganized! OK, so finally, I decided to clean it all up and sync everything after corrections and deleting duplicates.
I have a RAZR M. I synced my outlook contact list into Deja Contacts, but the phone does not "see" the deja contact list, so when I receive a call, the callers name does not come up, as it would if the information were in the native contact list. How can I get the native contact list populated?

I am asked to go to the device, go to options, and turn off wireless snc. Problem is, there the options menu does not have a box for wireless sync.

I would like to sync my MS Outlook contact list to my phone but to do this my computer tells me I need to turn of Wireless Syncronisation. I have followed all the steps a million times and searched my entire phone, there is no mention of wireless synchronization in any of the menus.
I have two emails that are synching to my BB (outlook and Gmail), my query show to move a contact that syncs with outlook and make it sync with Gmail. In other terms, let's suppose that Contact ABC is set to sync with Outlook, I need to know how to make it sync with Gmail.

I have a 9700 Bold.I am running Outlook 2007 on my laptop.I have been synchronizing my contacts in Outlook with my 9700 without issue, using Blackberry Desktop Manager. However, I have now split my contacts within Outlook into two separate folders; one for my personal contacts and one for my business contacts. When I try to synchronize now manually, the Desktop Manager only reads my personal folder contacts and and asks to delete all my business contacts - which have been moved within Outlook out of that folder into the new business folder.Q. How can I set up a second, business, folder on my 9700 so that both folders will be synchronized when I next connect to the Desktop Manager?
