View 1 Replies View RelatedI had used a handheld upgrade link only to discover this message: BlackBerry® Device Software v4.5 is not supported by your wireless service provider. Now the reason why this is complicated is because I do not know what the service provider is for the phone. I am simply attempting to restore it. I have made several attempts at wiping and factory resetting via JL_Cmder but all attempts have failed because the program cannot hold a connection with the Bold. Can someone please help?

Please contact your service provider to enable the browser on your device".I have spoken to them twice but they dont seem to know anything as the 2 solutions they have given me do not work!I think my problem lies when i go into Options-Advanced Options-Browser, i have literally nothing in it, whereas my girlfriend has 3 different options.

I purchased my BB 9700 on March 2010 in Panama. I live in Venezuela and contracted with a local provider the services for the BB device. Everything went perfect until four weeks ago when I was transferring photos from my BB to my computer and updated the OS. After that I noticed I was not receiving emails not BB messages. I went to the local provider and they tried to fix the problem without success. After two or three attemps they concluded my BB was not recognized. They said that the "edge" was not in capital letters "EDGE" so that meant that I could not get the internet services. I placed my simcard in my wife's BB 9700 and the word EDGE showed up. I placed my wife's simcard in my BB and the word "edge" showed up. The conclusion was that my BB had the problem. So I ended up with a BB that's working like a standard cell phone. The provider told me that maybe BB or RIM could have mistakenly deleted my BB from their system.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI had to reinstall my OS a couple weeks ago. I installed the official 5.0.0.328 from Verizon, and now for some reason, my contact lists aren't syncing with my Gmail account. I went into the settings to try to enable it, but the option is grayed out (it says that Wireless Synchronization is Not Available). What happened, and how do I fix my problem? I appreciate any help. BTW I have two GMail accounts on my phone so I don't want to use Google Sync.
View 5 Replies View RelatedRumors are that OS 6.0 will be available to the 9700. For official OS 6.0 release, is the onus on your service provider to provide this new upgrade? Or will you have to get it through other service providers that are more on top of their game and releases new OS 6.0s first? i.e. is it going to be like upgrading OS 5.0 where if you want the latest version, you'd have to use another service provider's OS version?

My network provider does not support data plans. However I use wi-fi to connect and download applications from Application world. But when I enable Wi-Fi, I can easyly browse over network, but BB application world does not work. After restart it works. So I need every time restart my device to make app world working again.
I am wondering if there is a way to remove all the useless apps that I will never use given from my service provider? They are currently hidden.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just picked up a MiFi 4G device and I carry it at all times. However since it has a cap on data per month I want it to be secondary to several other unlimited WiFi networks such as my office WiFi, home WiFi, free WiFi hotspots, etc. Is there any work around to make the MiFi wireless (or any permanent wireless network) 2nd to all other recognized networks? This is the ideal set-up for my iPhone 4 and iPad 2 WiFi. I don't want to have to turn the MiFi on and off constantly, I want it on in the background as a seamless secondary option. I appreciate any insight and find it odd that you cannot prioritize networks. Meaning if I "forgot this network" and start over will the 1st joined or most recent joined become primary when there are multiple networks available?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've had my BB 9700 for just over a month now, without having any issues whatsoever with the handset, my 9700 refuses to connect to my wireless home network, it finds the network, acquires an IP address, a displays the signal strength and connection speed , but looking at the Wi-Fi diagnostics on the BB there seems to be a problem with the Infrastructure, it attempts to connect and continuously fails.
I am using a Netgear DG934GT Router, running Firmware 1.03.23, all my other wireless devices (laptop, iPod Touch and PS3) connect fine to the wireless network, I have tried restarting the BlackBerry, and the router, this doesn't seem to solve the problem, I've also removed and re-added the wireless network to my BlackBerry, this has not solved my problem either. I am on T-Mobile and the BB is not unlocked or anything of that nature.
I have my cell service through T-Mobile and recently upgraded to a Bold 9700 with internet service. I can browse the internet over the 3G network and at a Hot Spot location using the Wi-Fi. What I can't do is access the internet through my wireless router at home. The Netgear router (WPN824 v3) works fine through the cable modem for laptops and my daughter's Motorola Click smartphone. When I turn off the 3G network, I get a "can't find the server message".

I tried a battery pull, I left the battery out for about 2 or 3 minutes. The phone itself is not frozen. It keeps pulling up the icon that lets you know it is TRYING to work, but no progress is being made. This being my third attempt at getting it to work by using a battery pull, It is stuck at 1% and has been trying to complete the update for 28 minutes.
