BB Bold 9700 :: Is Up To Service Provider To Offer OS 6.0

May 2, 2010

Rumors are that OS 6.0 will be available to the 9700. For official OS 6.0 release, is the onus on your service provider to provide this new upgrade? Or will you have to get it through other service providers that are more on top of their game and releases new OS 6.0s first? i.e. is it going to be like upgrading OS 5.0 where if you want the latest version, you'd have to use another service provider's OS version?

I have made several attempts at wiping and factory resetting via JL_Cmder but all attempts have failed because the program cannot hold a connection with the Bold. Can someone please help?
