I am trying to use *228 to reset my roaming networks and its not working and says to contact my provider., which is Sprint. What am I supposed to do?

I turned data off on my phone. It is always off. Will it be able to roam to other networks while I am not near my home network, say for incoming calls? My phone doesn't have a roaming on/off button that I can see.

Every time i click on it to open, it comes up with a message saying "Your device does not currently have any Browser Service Book Entries. Please contact your service provider to enable the browser on your device".I have spoken to them twice but they dont seem to know anything as the 2 solutions they have given me do not work!I think my problem lies when i go into Options-Advanced Options-Browser, i have literally nothing in it, whereas my girlfriend has 3 different options.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm currently trying to instal Nokia Maps 3 onto my N95, and every time it reaches the install point the phone throws out the error "Certificate Error: Please Contact the software provider"..I was wondering if anyone can give me a hand with this, I have seen a few posts about this error on the boards yet no one has given a solution, I have checked my application settings and can't see any reason why it is failing to install over my current version which is v1.2 wk37 b05..I want to eventually buy more maps but I refused too until I have the latest version installed..

The phone can receive incoming calls, but that is it. I have tried the update service. Result - Your phone has the latest software update.
Using the SE PC Suite, and connecting by using the USB cable, a list of folders is displayed which are empty. Using the "Phone Repair" from the SE PC Suite, and after following the instructions, the only result is - "Update Failed". Please can someone assist me in sorting out this problem?
I have an iPhone 4S with iOS 5.1.1 I ALWAYS have data roaming turned off as I travel a reasonable amount and don't want the charges. All automatic downloads are also turned off. On a recent holiday to France the phone the phone decided randomly to download my emails at 3pm one Friday afternoon (after we'd been there for almost a week) - this totalled around 3MB and cost me around £10.00 This was the only time the phone did any downloads (it was in my pocket not being used at the time) - so it appears as if randomly for around 10 minutes one wet Friday afternoon the phone decided to ignore the data roaming switch and download my emails (and apparently nothing else). I have read some real horror stories online about this kind of thing but nothing where it just pops on and off.As I travel a reasonable amount I can't afford for this to keep happening.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI needed to setup a secondary email addy with RogersWireless yesterday and while I was there I got the bright idea to change my password for my primary account.This totally screwed my BB (no more email being received) sent me an email saying I needed to verify my password.tried to go into Setup to access my email settings..my BB freezes and I have to shut it down and re-start.Next bright idea...go to Messages Options then try to access email settings that way...message comes up and says "Unable to open email setup application. Contact your wireless service provider."Now I'm not saying I don't enjoy spending an afternoon chatting with Rogers but is there anyway to fix this without having to waste an afternoon?

They are really small-- like 15KB/day, but it's nonetheless annoying that my Blackberry Bold 9700 is using data even though I turned it off. I use AT&T. Does anyone know why?

Now, i'm currently in Ukraine and temporarily i'm using ukraine service provider, Beeline. But it seems like my edge symbol at top right is in lower case and i unable to use my data application at all. I try to put APN setting (internet.beeline.ua) at the TCP but still not working. Is there any conflict if i temporarily change service provider?

turned off data roaming.  Only contacted one iphone user by text whilst off wifi. So his messages went and came back by standard SMS text message. Now I'm home, back on 3G wifi etc, iMessage is working fine, except this one contact which my phone now insists on using text SMS only. I can not get him back on iMessage no matter what I do! His iPhone hasn't changed but also insists on sending texts to me as SMS only! Yet all worked fine before I went away!

I'll eventually realize that none of my messages in iMessage are going through or that instagram has not updated its feed in over an hour. I'll restart the phone and everything will work for another 30 minutes or so before everything stops working again.Â

My friend has an i4 4.0 jailbroke from jailbreakme. After jailbreak everything work fine for him. He had MMS working fine he could send and receive MMS no problems. Well the other day he tried to send an MMS and it wouldn't send out. It tries to send and the little bar on the top when you send a message comes up and it goes about 95 percent of the way and stops then he gets the red explanation mark after about 1 minute. So it doesn't go through. He has tried the Iphone Delivery repo and it didn't work, he has reset his network settings didn't work. Was wondering if anyone had any other advice? His facetime works fine no problems there. I assume the next step is a restore which he already knows but he is trying to fix it without restoring.

I've been having a problem lately with my ringers... I have one custom MP3 ringtone for all my contacts. My problem is all of my contacts somehow have a custom (or personalized) ringer. When I edit my contact details and go into Custom Ring Tones/Alerts,they ALL have Ringer_ClassicPhone as the personalized ringer...
Is there any way to re-set all my "personalized" ringers for my contacts or somehow make them default to my profile's set ringer?Also, I recently installed BerryBuzz and I believe this started happening (or at least I noticed it) afterwards...
I have an iPhone 4 through Sprint. Yesterday I purchased a ringtone through iTunes on the phone, and assigned it to 1 contact. It shows as being assigned to that contact, however, when I get a call from that person, the default ringtone plays. I've since synced with iTunes on the computer, but I can't figure out why the assigned ringtone won't play.

Since upgrading to ios 5.1.1 my iphone 4s will not roam. I am unable to connect to a phone network in Europe (apart from my home network o2 in the UK) but it does work in Africa?
o2 sent me a new sim card but this has not made any difference hence I think the problem may be with ios 5.1.1, any one able to offer any help?

PROBLEM
I reseted password for Apple ID 1
after password reset, phone 1 and phone 2 can not send iMessage to each other's phone numbers (goes as text message). Can send iMessage it to each others email address and all other phone numbers/email addressesÂ
SOLUTIONS TRIED
- reactive iMessage with toggle switch
- network settings reset
- deleting our all old messages
- restart phone at various steps aboveÂ
OBSERVATIONS
I do see phone number under Settings | Messages | Send & Receive | YOU CAN BE REACHED.... on both phones selected,
however, it is grayed out unlike email addresses below
If you had to choose between service providers is any certain one better with the Iphone? Is ATT and Verizon at the top, or is Sprint and other providers good as well?
