I turned data off on my phone. It is always off. Will it be able to roam to other networks while I am not near my home network, say for incoming calls? My phone doesn't have a roaming on/off button that I can see.

I was traveling in Germany and Italy, and I made sure to set "Data Services While Roaming" to "Off." However, I still did incur data roaming charges. They are really small-- like 15KB/day, but it's nonetheless annoying that my Blackberry Bold 9700 is using data even though I turned it off. I use AT&T. Does anyone know why?

I'm currently on a trip to Switzerland where my screen broke, and after being screwed around by the Swiss repair factory that Sony uses for three weeks, I've finally got my phone back, except now it's not connecting to the available network (Salt.). The networks show up in the list of searches, but after spinning on "registering on network" for a few minutes all I get is the usual "can't connect to network, please try again later" nonsense. The wifi works, however. I've tried repairing it with Sony Bridge for Mac, still nothing.
When I had a Z2 I had a similar issue once after sending it off for repairs for a broken screen- the repair people dinged up the internal antenna during repairs and it wouldn't connect when it got back. I sent it off again and they fixed it. Could this be the problem now, even though the wifi is working? I have a flight back to the UK in a day and I don't have time to send it off to the same company.
I cannot use Facebook from my social networks on my N8 phone.Is the application not done for N8, or what might be the reason that it won't work?

I have tried restarts, I have tried factory reset, I have run a diagnostic but the wifi simply wont switch on and therefore I cannot get the phone to scan for networks. It worked briefly after I updates to latest firmware but that only lasted 5 hours.
View 3 Replies View RelatedDropped my two week old Nexus 5 on the ground... if you look at it, everything looks fine. Apps work, wi-fi works BUT I can no longer pick up a mobile network. It just shows a black signal (black triangle where the signal bars would be). I try to go into Settings > Mobile Networks > Network Operators to Search Networks or Choose automatically and it just searches but can't find anything. I can't figure it out. Everything seems to be OK but I can't get a mobile network. I took it to a cell repair place but they couldn't figure it out after opening it up.

My phone will no longer automatically connect to saved WiFi networks. It knows they're there, because if I go to Settings -> WiFi, it shows up in the list as a "saved" one. Tapping on it and selecting "connect" does nothing. I have to turn off the WiFi and turn it back on, and it will then automatically connect.
Additionally, WiFi will not stay off. If I'm some place I don't want it to connect to WiFi, I turn it off so that I don't get messages that networks are available (specifically when I'm driving, it's really annoying to deal with that over Waze).
I've got a Sprint GS5, running stock (not rooted), on 5.0. No updates available for the phone. It does this on every WiFi network I have saved (home, school, and school apartment, among others). I've also tried turning Smart Switch off and on, it makes no difference for either issue.
Going on a cruise next week that has GSM roaming on it. I plan to leave the phone off unless I need to check in with someone in US.I know that the voice rate will be $4.99 per minute, but how do I turn off the data portion of the phone to not rack up crazy roaming data charges. I do have unlimited international email but suspect the cruise ship does not count.

It has turned on fully 3 times now but once everything is loaded on my screen it shuts back down and starts over. It has been doing this for over an hour. View 1 Replies View RelatedRight, so the other day my G3 started to keep rebooting randomly and gradually got worse throughout the day but would turn on and be usable for an amount of time.
I have tried the following:
Booting into safe mode
Having it plugged into the wall charger
Hard Reset
Flashing the firmware using LG Flash Tool
Nothing has fixed the issue and unfortunately it is out of warranty. Currently it will load up but straight away reboot.
My Xperia Z3 started locking on its own, when I unlock it after 5 seconds or so it will lock again. I tried restarting it but it 'didn't work, it wont connect to the PC companion either so I cant run any updates. It still charges but wont connect to anything, I cant even access the settings because it locks as soon as I try to access it.

The LG logo will come up, then the screen will go black, and then the LG logo will appear back up. (It does stop when I press the mute button, but starts back where it left off when I un-mute.) I tried clearing the internet browser history to see if that would fix the problem, but it did not.

This started the first day I got the phone. I dismissed is as a weird setting, camera stops after so many minutes. But after awhile, it seems to be a problem with the phone.
