My blackberry curve 9360 needed updating to the new 7.1 version, I started the update at 9am and at 10pm the update bar hasn't moved from 7% and my phone is extremely hot. Any suggestions on how to stop the update as I am unable to use my phone..

It acts like it overheats, but it never gets to the point where it gets hot. I'm trying to get it swapped out with Sprint. Or is this warranty thing?

But it won't stop going from the samsung screen, to the AT&T scree, to the optimizing apps screen, and loading maybe 12/65 apps, and then going black, and then back to the samsung screen. View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently received a message telling me that an update was available for App World. I downloaded the update, installed it and rebooted. Now I am unable to download apps. When I hit the download button it takes me to the sign in for BlackBerry ID, then to terms and conditions and then to my ID settings! The only way I can get off this screen is to press Discard, which takes me back to where I started! I just keep going round in circles.

When the Application Loader launches, it only provides me with the option of maintaining my OS and downgrading my OS to the older 4.6.1 version. I have previously used the exact same steps on another Curve 8520 and I had successfully upgraded the OS. After the upgrade was successful on the first phone, only did I try upgrading the second phone. Is there anything I did wrongly the second time around?

View 3 Replies View RelatedFive days back purchased a Xperia X10 and upgraded the memory to 16GB. It was working fine since yesterday morning, when I updated the phone through SE PC Companion software.
First SEPCC presented a message for update then it told to disconnect the phone from USB, switch it off, remove battery for at least 5 sec., put battery again, connect it USB with pressing back button. After that it starts downloading the update and then tried to install the update. But it failed 2 times.
Right now I am not able to start the mobile even by removing the memory. On the screen it displays SONY ERICSSON text and a '!' mark inside a triangle.

I've tried using both the website and the Desktop Software.My Curve is a couple of years old so is only running version 4.6.1.310. I'm on the O2UK network.I see no real need to get a new device as this one works perfectly fine, however some of the features of an application that I use for work are only available in OS 5.0 and above.

View 3 Replies View RelatedBasically my original HTC One got quite damaged, and so I bought a slightly used unlocked version (one where the screen and case wasn't near destroyed, as my original). However, since getting the phone I have constantly been trying to hook it up to PC via USB cable in order to, simply, transfer some music. My computer will not recognise my new phone as a htc (only "Android Phone"). It will also not allow me to find (automatically/manually) the drivers.
Now this is pretty much the same problem with both phones, so I highly doubt it is a fault with the new one I just purchased. I have tried multiple usb ports in my computer, searched the entire internet for answers, downloaded drivers and manually tried to find them to no avail, uninstalled/reinstalled the sync manager numerous times but it still will not find the phone. I cannot understand this at all. It's always been as easy as, attaching a usb cable and then even using WMP to sync music files, or even drag them in manually. But my computer will not recognise any HTC one, or allow me to find the drivers.
I got some issues while switching on my phone. Today my phone has automatically downloaded system update, after completion i installed that update and few minutes after installation, phone restarted and shows this massage "The software update failed. Make sure that your phone is connected to computer and try again."
I connected my phone to the computer but still shows the same message and shuts down automatically and im not using any custom recovery.
Trying to check for new update 6.12.181 and phone is stating unable to check for updates at this time. Please try again.
