A while ago I had a problem signing into my app world; however, now that I am able to sign in, I cannot download or update anything and I'm not sure why. App world lets me know about the updates but when I go to update the things I have a error message says "Download not available in app world" Does anyone know how this can be fixed or why it comes up?.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI often download images from the internet on my phone. I use them for making contact pictures, schoolwork,or even to just to enjoy images as backgrounds on my phone. However my phone is no longer allowing me to download anything! I do what I have always done, I hold down on the image until my phone asks if I want to save it,I hit save, and it says the image is downloading. But when I go to my downloads it says image has failed to download...
I thought maybe it was just from a certain site that my images wouldn't download. But every site I go to the download is failing. Then I thought perhaps somehow I used up my memory. But I have lots of memory left. I tried the simple method of rebooting my phone,and that too has not worked.I don't know what else to do!
i am an e7 user. I was recently downloading a couple of videos at the same time when my phone hanged and had to be restarted. When it did restart, most of the files had to be redownloaded. All except one. The downloads list claims that the file has been saved. The video plays bt isnt completely downloaded.The problem now is that i cant delete the video through the file manager. The error msg says web:already in use.. When i tried deleting the file from the downloads list of the web browser, there was a similar msg.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have tried to update my BB9930 several times using the desktop app, and each time it appears to hang with 24 files left to download. Finally I dug around and discovered the Log Window, so now I see why it's failing to update. It cannot a file that it needs, so it eventually fails (after several silent attempts to download that one file) and unwinds back to where I started.

Has this happened to anyone else?Yesterday I received a notification about a software update. I was advised to carry out the update via a PC which I did. Followed the instructions to the letter. Installed the Update Service, downloaded the software and the installation began. After several minutes I was told the installation was unsuccessful and now my phone will not turn on. There is no OS so my phone is completely useless.Is there any way to roll back the failed installation to the previous software version?I have only had the phone 3 months
View 4 Replies View RelatedA few months ago, I dropped my phone (the day before my case came in the mail, of course) and the screen went fuzzy, much like an old box tv for several minutes, then rebooted several times before catching up to itself. I'm not sure what on earth happened because of this drop, but since then I have had a huge amount of issues.
First- I cannot complete certain updates on my phone, including some system updates such as for "extras+info" and "Lumia Camera". I get the error code 80070539 on these failed updates, but I do not believe that is the real reason these apps will not update. One method I used to fix this was to make sure I accepted updated terms and conditions for Microsoft, which completed some updates, but I still have several left waiting.
Second- Several apps and processes just do not work at all. Example: settings>applications>photos+camera the screen begins to flip over to the photos+camera menu, then abruptly stops before returning to the applications menu. This exact scenario happens to several other processes throughout the phone, including the calendar app, adding new emails and accounts, etc.
Third- I cannot backup my phone. This is a major problem as I have an abundance of files that I desperately need on my phone, but whenever I attempt to backup my phone, it may make it up to 97% maximum before it says the backup failed. This is the primary reason I haven't attempted a hard reset yet, and I would prefer to avoid doing a hard reset unless we can manage to fix at least the backup issue.
Fourth- My computer will not recognize my phone. I am running a laptop with Windows 8.1, all my drivers are up-to-date, I've uninstalled/reinstalled drivers, etc. but the computer doesn't even recognize that I plug the phone in, even though my phone still charges at a normal rate. I have also tried different computers and different cables. Nothing has proven useful. There is not a place in my computer that I can find a trace of detection of my phone, not under devices/drives/anything.
I will try just about anything that doesn't involve losing all of my data.
Do downloads charge money through Vodafone network?, Or everything is free with BBM?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently received a message telling me that an update was available for App World. I downloaded the update, installed it and rebooted. Now I am unable to download apps. When I hit the download button it takes me to the sign in for BlackBerry ID, then to terms and conditions and then to my ID settings! The only way I can get off this screen is to press Discard, which takes me back to where I started! I just keep going round in circles.

When the Application Loader launches, it only provides me with the option of maintaining my OS and downgrading my OS to the older 4.6.1 version. I have previously used the exact same steps on another Curve 8520 and I had successfully upgraded the OS. After the upgrade was successful on the first phone, only did I try upgrading the second phone. Is there anything I did wrongly the second time around?

Here's the problem, I download it and it installs... unless I select "RUN" once its done, I cant use it. If I don't click "RUN" the app is nowhere to be found. Its not in the downloads folder, app folder or anywhere else I can find, although under "ADVANCED OPTIONS" and "APPLICATION" it does appear. Any one have this problem of know where the apps icon is so I can use it more than just once?

Pretty much sorted out my e-mail problems although despite deleting e-mail accounts, I can't find a way to clear the old messages from the main messsage box apart from individually, which might take a year!I now want to delete my downloads and can't find a way to do that either.For context, I have to return a phone and want to clear it appropriately, either by removing items like downloads and messages that are personal, or by returning to factory settings.

I've tried using both the website and the Desktop Software.My Curve is a couple of years old so is only running version 4.6.1.310. I'm on the O2UK network.I see no real need to get a new device as this one works perfectly fine, however some of the features of an application that I use for work are only available in OS 5.0 and above.
