I started updating a software onto my phone, and it took literally 2 hours to update, and still wasn't completed.So I unplugged my USB from my Laptop,I then turned my Blackberry on.And it's not taken me onto my actual home screen, it's just saying it's loading. And then comes up with an error saying ''Reset'' ... I then reset my phone, and it does the same, continuously.
View 3 RepliesI recently received a message telling me that an update was available for App World. I downloaded the update, installed it and rebooted. Now I am unable to download apps. When I hit the download button it takes me to the sign in for BlackBerry ID, then to terms and conditions and then to my ID settings! The only way I can get off this screen is to press Discard, which takes me back to where I started! I just keep going round in circles.

When the Application Loader launches, it only provides me with the option of maintaining my OS and downgrading my OS to the older 4.6.1 version. I have previously used the exact same steps on another Curve 8520 and I had successfully upgraded the OS. After the upgrade was successful on the first phone, only did I try upgrading the second phone. Is there anything I did wrongly the second time around?

I've tried using both the website and the Desktop Software.My Curve is a couple of years old so is only running version 4.6.1.310. I'm on the O2UK network.I see no real need to get a new device as this one works perfectly fine, however some of the features of an application that I use for work are only available in OS 5.0 and above.

I have tried the desktop software about a million times, it keeps saying no updates available. I've tried using the app loader. Nothing. I've tried downloading the specific 5.0 software for AT&T BB Curve 8520. App loader says it is incompatible with the device.

I've being trying to update my device software but it's impossible, not even downloading the archive from the web.
Everytime I plug in my phone and open the blackberry manager to do whaterver it gives me the message that I haven't installed the Blackberry Device Manager . I have a Blackberry 9360. I've just run the Blackberry Desktop Software. It shows that I can update the software for my phone. However, whenI try to it comes up with amessage that says an error occurred, and I can't install it. My internet connection is fine. I've tried this a number of times with same result !! Any ideas what's wrong, or how to fix it ?Also, when on Blackberry Desktop Software and I click on 'pictures' under te Media Sync, it shows I have no pictures. I did have pictures, and pictures show up against my contacts, so I don't know what's happened, or if this is related to my updating problem. It messed up my contacts birthdays on the calendar again (just like every update ive downloaded since i got my phone), but besides that I thought everything was fine. But then, After using it for a few days, I've occassionally been unable to hear anything during calls. It works most of the time, but occassionally, when someone calls me and i pick up; it says "Connected", I don't hear anything. Same with vice versa, when I call them, it says "Connected" and I dont hear anything.

However whenever I check for updates via the blackberry site the desktop manger pops up and does not offer this upgrade. All it says it 4.6.1 (current) and the rest are downgrades, so I'm not quite sure what I need to do to get the new OS to even appear, much less download it and work.

I was trying to update my X10 for pinch zoom It says certification error and the updates getting disconnect. I checked my system firewall and my modem firewall too everything is perfect. And I tried with my friend's machine there too I am getting same error.
I contacted Sony Ericsson customer care regarding this, they replied go and update ur phone in service center. Too bad they didnt tell me why I was not able to update my phone.
