I don't have more than (probably 100) entries in my BB phonebook. When I try to add a number from a received call to the book, the phone freezes and needs to be rebooted. When I try to add a number manually it freezes and needs a reboot.

After I updated to 2.1 i cant see the phonebook any longer in my car (BMW 1 serie with IDRIVE and bluetooth). With 1.6 I could chose a contact and then dial directly, or import the phone number (however it was not as great as the old symbian OS where you even could navigate directly to a contact). Is it someone that has any idea of a good app or something that makes this possible (maybe a Symbian simulator. I have also realized that the connection (dB) has decreased with the new OS. I even loos connection on the E4, with this phone (Xperia X10 mini Pro).

View 7 Replies View RelatedI recently tried to edit one of my phonebook contacts and the phone wouldn't let me do it. Every time I went to "edit" nothing would happen. Not the biggest problem ever, however, now my phone won't let me add new contacts. When I go to "add to contacts" nothing happens, and occasionally my phone will freeze and I have to turn it off. I have tried taking the battery out and letting the phone reboot but still nothing.

If I try to copy them to my phonebook, nothing happens and the contacts doesn't appear on my contactlist. It also seem as if it is all the most used contacts that are missing.

I have noticed that every time I reboot my phone once its back on all my contacts that I have loaded in my phone book since I received my blackberry (not the original phone numbers on my sim) are gone. I lose them every time. Why does that happen? All my contacts are actually missing but I can still save my sim contacts back onto my face but seriously this is annoying and not why I got this phone so I can spend 30 min getting my numbers visible again and also losing all new. I have to now save them on paper.
View 6 Replies View Relatedi have a blackberry 8900. i also have tonnes of phone numbers that i either need to edit (delete or add email ids to) but i simpy cant type them in manually one by one i know in nokia, there syn application is such that u can make the changes in the nokia pc app and it automatically syncs up with the blackberry.i used the blackberry desktop software, but unfortunately i did not see this functionality a) how can i work around this ? is there any such functionality in BB desktop software? b) are there are 3rd party software available for this ?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI recently received a message telling me that an update was available for App World. I downloaded the update, installed it and rebooted. Now I am unable to download apps. When I hit the download button it takes me to the sign in for BlackBerry ID, then to terms and conditions and then to my ID settings! The only way I can get off this screen is to press Discard, which takes me back to where I started! I just keep going round in circles.

When the Application Loader launches, it only provides me with the option of maintaining my OS and downgrading my OS to the older 4.6.1 version. I have previously used the exact same steps on another Curve 8520 and I had successfully upgraded the OS. After the upgrade was successful on the first phone, only did I try upgrading the second phone. Is there anything I did wrongly the second time around?

I've tried using both the website and the Desktop Software.My Curve is a couple of years old so is only running version 4.6.1.310. I'm on the O2UK network.I see no real need to get a new device as this one works perfectly fine, however some of the features of an application that I use for work are only available in OS 5.0 and above.

I have tried the desktop software about a million times, it keeps saying no updates available. I've tried using the app loader. Nothing. I've tried downloading the specific 5.0 software for AT&T BB Curve 8520. App loader says it is incompatible with the device.
I have tried following this: How to Install or Upgrade to a New RIM BlackBerry Operating System (OS) with AppLoader | CrackBerry.com .Still did not help.
I have also tried doing it OTA style. The damn thing says there's no updates available on this either.I've been reading through just about every OS 5 thread I could get my hands on and nothing has made this process work.
