My phonebook/contacts has stopped working, so I can't call or find numbers. All this since the update, everything else seems fine at the moment.
View 7 RepliesAfter I updated to 2.1 i cant see the phonebook any longer in my car (BMW 1 serie with IDRIVE and bluetooth). With 1.6 I could chose a contact and then dial directly, or import the phone number (however it was not as great as the old symbian OS where you even could navigate directly to a contact). Is it someone that has any idea of a good app or something that makes this possible (maybe a Symbian simulator. I have also realized that the connection (dB) has decreased with the new OS. I even loos connection on the E4, with this phone (Xperia X10 mini Pro).
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have had a problem for last couple of weeks - When I got the phone (around 2mths ago), I created all my main contacts, added their names, numbers and email addresses. So, at least a month goes by, but then one or two contacts start losing their phone numbers (the name and email address remains). I have tried everything from simply entering and saving the number again via the phonebook and even adding the number from text messages sent by the person in question - each time I have ensured that I have clicked 'done' and/or the save symbol. I exit the phonebook, but if I check back later it's been lost again.
This seems to happen with only one or two particular contacts - I am not sure what is unique about them.
I have read the manual re: phonebook, so I am following all of the steps so I am not sure whether or not the phone has a fault.
is it possible with some sort of addon or setting to only show my sim contacts in my phonebook, the timescape stuff and all is fine, i just dont want a bunch of peoples emails that i have written once. It is starting to annoy me a bit, so 1. is there a setting i can find on my phone to do it, 2. is there some kind of program/addon to do it or 3. is it possible for you guys to make a softwareupdate so to add the option only to show simcard contacts?

I used to have the contact pictures in my phonebook as the pictures that my friends use as their facebook profile picture. This is not now happening and I can't re-set it. I did remove my facebook account briefly from my phone, as I'm experiencing trouble using fb on my phone.

When updating the software, do not send anything that destroy the users personal settings. And do not come with any BS that the programming system requires it. Now I will not accept any updates that require a lot of extra job from me to make safety copies and restore my personal info. No more.

The SIM had many contacts with multiple phone numbers (mobile number, house number.etc) under a single name, but when I viewed it on xperia ray , it shows duplicate names but with different numbers under the Mobile category. Is there a way to merge these names and bring all the different numbers into Mobile, House, Others etc under one name.I searched and found some answers for "Merging" but all were referring to merging different names with common phone numbers, but what I need is just the opposite. View 9 Replies View RelatedI recently tried to edit one of my phonebook contacts and the phone wouldn't let me do it. Every time I went to "edit" nothing would happen. Not the biggest problem ever, however, now my phone won't let me add new contacts. When I go to "add to contacts" nothing happens, and occasionally my phone will freeze and I have to turn it off. I have tried taking the battery out and letting the phone reboot but still nothing.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI was wondering if anyone else experiences this problem/has a solution? My BB Storm2 will sync via Bluetooth with my 2010 Audi Q5, but it has 3 problems:
1. The Contact's Name, City, State, Zip transfer, but not the address line. Makes navigation to a contact not possible.
2. No categories come across - the Audi only shows "Personal" and "Business"
3. Company names do not show up in the directory list - all contacts labeled as companies are blank lines in the Audi and the precede people names, so I have several screens of just a phone icon before I get a person's name.
Granted, I have 17 categories, 558 contacts. I sync with a Mac (OS X 10.6.2), but don't understand how/if that should make any kind of difference.
Can someone please tell me how to to transfer the contacts or even everything I have on my LG chocolate spin phone using BitPim?Do I use the "filesystem" and if so what file is it under? My screen cracked and i'd like to at least copy my contacts to a word document or transfer them to my new phone (blackberry Bold 9700).Do i have to sync the phone itself in it's options? Since my screen is cracked i obviously can't see which menu to go in again to do so - I hope syncing this way isn't needed as BitPim already recognizes my phone.

Torch 9800 - Having problem with some of the phone contact duplicate by itself, not only 1 or couples, some contacts duplicate for more than hundreds even I'm not sync my phone. After I deleted the contacts, have only 1 left for the specific name, days after it will duplicate again.
