BB Curve :: Can't Add Or Edit Phonebook Contacts
Apr 13, 2012I recently tried to edit one of my phonebook contacts and the phone wouldn't let me do it. Every time I went to "edit" nothing would happen. Not the biggest problem ever, however, now my phone won't let me add new contacts. When I go to "add to contacts" nothing happens, and occasionally my phone will freeze and I have to turn it off. I have tried taking the battery out and letting the phone reboot but still nothing.

Aug 6, 2011I do not know what I did, but I suddenly have no contacts in my phonebook. However, I still have the original list on my simcard. If I try to copy them to my phonebook, nothing happens and the contacts doesn't appear on my contactlist. It also seem as if it is all the most used contacts that are missing.

Aug 11, 2010is it possible with some sort of addon or setting to only show my sim contacts in my phonebook, the timescape stuff and all is fine, i just dont want a bunch of peoples emails that i have written once. Mar 5, 2010I was wondering if anyone else experiences this problem/has a solution? My BB Storm2 will sync via Bluetooth with my 2010 Audi Q5, but it has 3 problems:
1. The Contact's Name, City, State, Zip transfer, but not the address line. Makes navigation to a contact not possible.
2. No categories come across - the Audi only shows "Personal" and "Business"
3. Company names do not show up in the directory list - all contacts labeled as companies are blank lines in the Audi and the precede people names, so I have several screens of just a phone icon before I get a person's name.
Granted, I have 17 categories, 558 contacts. I sync with a Mac (OS X 10.6.2), but don't understand how/if that should make any kind of difference.

Apr 5, 2010Can someone please tell me how to to transfer the contacts or even everything I have on my LG chocolate spin phone using BitPim?Do I use the "filesystem" and if so what file is it under? My screen cracked and i'd like to at least copy my contacts to a word document or transfer them to my new phone (blackberry Bold 9700).Do i have to sync the phone itself in it's options? Since my screen is cracked i obviously can't see which menu to go in again to do so - I hope syncing this way isn't needed as BitPim already recognizes my phone.

Jul 27, 2011I have noticed that every time I reboot my phone once its back on all my contacts that I have loaded in my phone book since I received my blackberry (not the original phone numbers on my sim) are gone. I lose them every time. Why does that happen? All my contacts are actually missing but I can still save my sim contacts back onto my face but seriously this is annoying and not why I got this phone so I can spend 30 min getting my numbers visible again and also losing all new. I have to now save them on paper.

Jan 29, 2012I used to have the contact pictures in my phonebook as the pictures that my friends use as their facebook profile picture. This is not now happening and I can't re-set it. I did remove my facebook account briefly from my phone, as I'm experiencing trouble using fb on my phone.

We use MS Outlook as our mail program.I was just playing around in Outlook trying to figure out how to attach my business card to the end of e-mails I send and soon realized I was looking at all of my personal cell numbers of friends, family etc. in Outlook on my corporate lap top ! Jun 12, 2010I woke up this morning to find my entire contact list deleted from the Contacts application, however when I open an email or an SMS, all of the contact information is there for that particular person. When I look at the call log, the information is also there.I have a backup done on Friday (yesterday) on Outlook at my office (not on work server since they all use IPhones for that. I prefer my blackberry so I use the non-server syncing)...is there another way to get this information back or do I need to wait to resync on Monday?
I had a lot of apps on there that I don't use, so I deleted the off this morning to help get some memory back. I haven't yet done a battery pull on my phone...will doing one affect anything or should I just do it to help clear the memory up and make room for contacts?
