Oct 11, 2012In sheer frustration to try and separate my phone contact from my windows live contacts, I deleted several contacts from my Windows Phone and this has also subsequently deleted the contacts off MSN Messenger (yes I now know that they are synced).
I then logged onto the Windows Live homepage and was able to undelete the contacts but they are not re-appearing on MSN Messenger. I can see the contacts re-appear on my Windows Phone and on the Manage My Contacts page of Windows Life.

Apr 5, 2012Option I'm missing on my Lumia 800 is that I cannot add two mobile numbers in the phonebook. Why not add Mobile (Private) and Mobile (Work) for an instance.
Now I'm having the problem I cannot send an SMS to a friends Work mobile number. Is this a known problem and will there be an update for?

Nov 9, 2012I've recently acquired a Lumina 920 with Windows Phone 8. I can pair the phone with the car (or car with phone) just fine. I can also make and receive calls, but the phonebook will not sync with the car. This is a deal breaker for me, as I've had multiple IPhone/Android phones that handle this seemingly common operation without any trouble at all.As an experiment, I paired this phone with another car, and the phone book DOES sync. What I get is a message appears on the phone asking for permission to share contacts This does not happen with my car, however.

Oct 14, 2013I had a L920 before this, performed the back up of the old phone and such. When I first turned on my L1020, I skipped the full back up process as I did not have Wifi available to download all the apps and etc. My contacts however, were all there on the initial set up. After I got home later in the afternoon, I reset my L1020 and restarted the process to get the full back up from the original L920. All my apps, messages and even Facebook contacts got added back on. However, I have no contacts in terms of phone numbers and such. I still have those details on my L920. Is there any way of getting the contacts on L1020 besides manual??

Apr 13, 2012I recently tried to edit one of my phonebook contacts and the phone wouldn't let me do it. Every time I went to "edit" nothing would happen. Not the biggest problem ever, however, now my phone won't let me add new contacts. When I go to "add to contacts" nothing happens, and occasionally my phone will freeze and I have to turn it off. I have tried taking the battery out and letting the phone reboot but still nothing.

Mar 5, 2010I was wondering if anyone else experiences this problem/has a solution? My BB Storm2 will sync via Bluetooth with my 2010 Audi Q5, but it has 3 problems:
1. The Contact's Name, City, State, Zip transfer, but not the address line. Makes navigation to a contact not possible.
2. No categories come across - the Audi only shows "Personal" and "Business"
3. Company names do not show up in the directory list - all contacts labeled as companies are blank lines in the Audi and the precede people names, so I have several screens of just a phone icon before I get a person's name.
Granted, I have 17 categories, 558 contacts. I sync with a Mac (OS X 10.6.2), but don't understand how/if that should make any kind of difference.

Apr 5, 2010Can someone please tell me how to to transfer the contacts or even everything I have on my LG chocolate spin phone using BitPim?Do I use the "filesystem" and if so what file is it under? My screen cracked and i'd like to at least copy my contacts to a word document or transfer them to my new phone (blackberry Bold 9700).Do i have to sync the phone itself in it's options? Since my screen is cracked i obviously can't see which menu to go in again to do so - I hope syncing this way isn't needed as BitPim already recognizes my phone.

Jul 27, 2011I have noticed that every time I reboot my phone once its back on all my contacts that I have loaded in my phone book since I received my blackberry (not the original phone numbers on my sim) are gone. I lose them every time. Why does that happen? All my contacts are actually missing but I can still save my sim contacts back onto my face but seriously this is annoying and not why I got this phone so I can spend 30 min getting my numbers visible again and also losing all new. Dec 9, 2012Cant understand why the backup to PC of vital Lumia phone information such as contacts, calendar and messges can not be easily and quickly achieved as with the Nokia suite and N8. I believe it is synced automatically to Sky-drive but I cannot find evidence of this. I would like to have control of this data for easy retrieval and stored on my PC. Windows phone software on my PC is sub standard in comparison with Nokia Suite. It is clunky, contacts cannot be backed up, photos have no picture reference when transferred and the overall Windows Phone software on my PC is second rate in contrast to the Windows Phone 8 phone experience. Can anyone enlighten me on how I can easily copy my contacts to PC. No problem getting contacts into the phone. Just unclear on how to get a copy of them out.
