IPhone :: My 4 Keeps Shutting Off And Not Turning Back On Unless Plugged In?
Mar 25, 2012My iphone shuts off randomly even though it is fully charged. It then will not turn back on unless it is plugged into a power outlet. Is it the operating system or is the phone broken? It says I need to restore which I have already and I also have updated.

I unplugged the headphones and wnet to use the phone a few minutes later. no sound comes out tof the speakers now the headphones sill work great, but it I cannot make a call without my headset now. I know the phone thinks the headphones are plugged in, because the sounds settings allow me to adjust the equalizer (w/o headphones plugged in this option is not available).

Nov 15, 2012when I use the phone while plugged in, scrolling around on the screen sucks. As I swipe on screen, it sometimes won't swipe but will just launch apps that your finger touched last during the swipe. If I swipe slow, it seems to help but sometimes refuses to move and will just launch what ever y finger was touching last when I lift off the screen. It's really annoying and makes the phone useless plugged in because you can't navigate the phone consistently. When I unplug it, it works flawlessly. It's instantly better.

Jul 27, 2014My new Lumia 1020 was connected to wifi when I began setting it up. I got a data usage warning message the next day, so I made sure it was still connected to wifi - then I got another warning message advising me more charges were being applied to the data plan. I called ATT and explained and was told that the 4GLTE runs all kinds of stuff in the background that uses data and to turn the data off. I did - since then, no more data usage - however - it will not stay connected to wifi after a time out unless it is plugged in. It still shows that its connected to wifi but its not.

Feb 13, 2011I had a contract with Vodafone over 2 years ago and decided on the BlackBerry Storm 9500 handset . After 6 Months of receiving the phone it developed a fault, i have returned it for repairs on a number of occasions and the reoccurring problem has never been solved & fixed . After eighteen months the phone will still not turn on and when it does work it turns off within one hour of it working, i have been to the Vodafone shop in Torquay South Devon and they supplied me with a new battery to try but it still switches itself off . I ave talked to Vodafone and i was told a fault has been found on this particular model of handset. After 24 months of having this contract phone i have now upgraded to a BlackBerry Torch . I would like to return the 9500 handset to get a free full repair or a replacement as i now need to use both phones. This phone has also had problems with freezing and locking up

May 4, 2012last night a weird thing happened... i was using my phone normally, with 3g turned on, and after a few minutes of browsing through the whats new place in the me hub, the phone just hung... i could not do anything with it. so, i tried turning it off, but din't work. i tried connecting it to the charger, din't work. Finally, i did a hard reset by pressing the lock button for 10 seconds. then after that when i connected the phone to the charger, it turned ON and the nokia logo came up on the screen... nothing happened affter that and it remained like tat for 1 hour. again i did a hard reset, same problem happened. so, i left it to charge all night and still the same thing in the morning... and also a battery symbol with a red line at the bottom is shown before the nokia logo appears.... now i cannot use the phone... what do i do now??

Sep 28, 2012I'm having an odd problem with my Lumia 800, The phone randomly shuts down, it doesn't seem to be related to the power levels as it does it when fully charged. It can go 2 days or 5 minutes before doing this. The odd thing is that to turn it back on I have to plug it into my PC, it comes back on immediately... it does not seem to come on if I plug it into the mains. This is a recent issue it worked for a couple of months without any issues.

Dec 29, 2012I noticed a couple of days ago that my phones battery consumption has increased considerably, from lasting just over a day I now only get to mid-evening before it needs recharging. I have also noticed that the screen isn't turning itself off (if I press the power button once the screen does go off but often the screen does comes back on) and the password requirement isn't kicking in.
I have tried setting the screen timeout to 30 seconds and the need for a password to one minute but the phone is ignoring my setting change. I haven't installed a new app nor changed an app settings recently either. I have done a hard reset (to factory settings) but this has made no difference (I also noted that the hard reset didn't roll back any updates either - Is this right?).

If I push the area slightly with my finger, it makes light noise. It is fatal problem but very annoying.The reason might be the plastic cover is not strong enough to stick to the phone body.

Oct 11, 2012In sheer frustration to try and separate my phone contact from my windows live contacts, I deleted several contacts from my Windows Phone and this has also subsequently deleted the contacts off MSN Messenger (yes I now know that they are synced).
I then logged onto the Windows Live homepage and was able to undelete the contacts but they are not re-appearing on MSN Messenger. I can see the contacts re-appear on my Windows Phone and on the Manage My Contacts page of Windows Life.

Dec 1, 2012Considering upgrade from Windows 7.5 device (not Nokia) and looking at 820 or 920, but really like speed, integration and features of Bing Maps - looking at reviews/comments, removing the menu item for Bing Maps is putting me off the Nokia and pushing me towards the HTC!Why not have both available on the phone? You have the codee there so it does not affect the underlying platform. User choice is and should be king on these devices, so why remove the Bing Maps option? This must be a simple fix for you to do.... so make yourself another customer, and a load of people out there happier by adding the menu item back in ---- you don't have to have it pinned to the start menu by default, just available for those of us who want to use it instead of -- or as well as -- Nokia Maps.

May 17, 2015I was having some issues with my SD CARD (it had to be scanned for errors constantly) so I eventually took it out. About the same time the Phone started to randomly reboot itself over and over until I plugged it in. To be more clear it got stuck in a reboot cycle where it would start to boot and then shut off and then start to boot and then shut off. The only thing I could do to stop it would be to plug it in.
Steps taken:
Took out SD Card
Factory reset
Carrier: AT&T
Windows Phone 8.1 update
When the battery is full or plugged in I can't reproduce the issue, but when it's lower then 60% or so, I can repro the issue by changing between apps or selecting airplane mode and then switching the wifi on. Basic multitasking appears to set it off.
BB Curve :: It Is Turning Off Itself And Wont Come Back
May 17, 2010I just had to have Verizon send me my 3rd one since December cause mine keep shutting themselves off and then won't come back on at all. Then I changed batteries from the 1st phone that was left over and put it in the 2nd worked for a little while and then wouldn't send or receive messages or calls. I took the battery out and rebooted it again and I plugged into the computer and did an update and still nothing that's when all of a suddent it shut itself off and wouldn't come back on which is what the 1st one did. Is anyone else having this kind of trouble? Other than this I love my BB but this is the 1st one I have had and it isn't making a good first impression.
