my Lumia 900 from Rogers is now powering the screen on by itself shortly after pressing the lock button to turn it off. This can happen up to 2-3 times after pressing the lock/power button. Sometimes even in my jacket pocket the screen will turn on by itself. It's really starting to make me mad as this consumes my battery.

My screen turns off every time I use the power button to turn it on and then place my finger to unlock it, I then need to turn it on again and unlock it. This happened almost every time I open it, usually I need to unlock it again after it turns off but sometimes when I turn on the screen the phone is already unlocked.

It should turn it off only when I hold it up against my ear.This is verry annoying as I cannot get to the incall screen at all, not even to disconnect the call. I have to wait till the other party hangs up so that my screen can return back.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI noticed a couple of days ago that my phones battery consumption has increased considerably, from lasting just over a day I now only get to mid-evening before it needs recharging. I have also noticed that the screen isn't turning itself off (if I press the power button once the screen does go off but often the screen does comes back on) and the password requirement isn't kicking in.
I have tried setting the screen timeout to 30 seconds and the need for a password to one minute but the phone is ignoring my setting change. I haven't installed a new app nor changed an app settings recently either. I have done a hard reset (to factory settings) but this has made no difference (I also noted that the hard reset didn't roll back any updates either - Is this right?).
Over the last 3 days ive noticed my phone using a lot more battery than it usually does, i can usually get upto 2 days battery usage when its used frequently, but it has been getting less than a day over the last 3 days.
I turned the phone off with the power button and tried to turn it on again, The instant i press the power button the screen turns on (stays black but becomes a dark grey with the backlight) for about 30 seconds, but nothing else happens, the screen turns off after those 30 seconds and its back to square 1.I have tried turning it on again without a sim card, or memory card, or both and still the same result
My Iphone (white) turns on then off then on then off then on then off! Finaly when I eventually get to the lock screen it says: conect to power but I charged it last night and the percent bar (top right) says 100% . Now it says to charge with itunes? What am I supposed to do!

I have a question regarding adjusting the screen brightness. I am visually impaired and I want to turn it down as much as possible since I am using Narrator the screen reader in Windowsphone 8.1 so I get Everything in speech.
Well, if I turn the screen brightness down to low, is it easy for someone to see what I am doing or is there an app that will let me almost do the screen dark? On other platforms there are.
I've been having problems with my Lumia 800's headset (the official one supplied with the phone). First of all the microphone stopped working then, whilst listening to audio, the volume turned itself down to zero, without any action on my part. If I unplug the headset I can turn the volume back up, but as soon as I plug the headset back in in turns itself down again.

last night a weird thing happened... i was using my phone normally, with 3g turned on, and after a few minutes of browsing through the whats new place in the me hub, the phone just hung... i could not do anything with it. so, i tried turning it off, but din't work. i tried connecting it to the charger, din't work. Finally, i did a hard reset by pressing the lock button for 10 seconds. then after that when i connected the phone to the charger, it turned ON and the nokia logo came up on the screen... nothing happened affter that and it remained like tat for 1 hour. again i did a hard reset, same problem happened. so, i left it to charge all night and still the same thing in the morning... and also a battery symbol with a red line at the bottom is shown before the nokia logo appears.... now i cannot use the phone... what do i do now??
View 17 Replies View RelatedI'm having an odd problem with my Lumia 800, The phone randomly shuts down, it doesn't seem to be related to the power levels as it does it when fully charged. It can go 2 days or 5 minutes before doing this. The odd thing is that to turn it back on I have to plug it into my PC, it comes back on immediately... it does not seem to come on if I plug it into the mains. This is a recent issue it worked for a couple of months without any issues.

View 4 Replies View Relatedmy n97 wouldn't charge nor turn on whatever I just see the little led charge light on, I understood this is a software problem with the battery management program which is ridiculous but found myself without a phone so decided to remove battery and take off the plug to an old phone and connect the + and - directly to the battery for 10mins and conected the battery back up turned phone on and connected it onto the main N97 charger and it started normally.

I noticed with my Lumia 920, that if it had a weak/poor WiFi signal, it would still try to use that, and apps would report a bad internet connection, even when the LTE signal was great.This same thing seems to happen with my 950. Here at work, we have no WiFi. There are some nearby, but weak. If the phone latches on to one of them Pandora will report the internet connection is bad.
So, while at work I turn off WiFi. Problem solved, right? Wrong... WiFi turns itself back on from time to time.Why can't it fallback to my LTE when WiFi is bad? Why does it turn WiFi back on on it's own? Should I report this to the Insider program?
I have an LG G3 and every time I am on the lock screen and I cover the sensors (I think it is called the ambient light sensor or proximity I am not sure) the screen turns off, even if I use the physical power button and not double tap to wake. It makes it difficult to use while in an arm band case, also when trying to check it while keeping it inside my back pack since it keeps going off until I take it out and unlock it.
