Mar 28, 2010nokia 5130: when I try to turn on the phone, the screen goes white and nokia logo appears like always, then the screen goes white and after several seconds it turns off.

Mar 9, 2010My friend has this mobile Nokia 5130 XpressMusic and its updated to its latest version "V7" but now he has this problem.When he turns on the phone its comes to this Nokia screen and then everything goes blank white and after a few seconds it turns off automatically.and he cant use his phone now...so please someone if can please help me fix it.

But once I press the lock/unlock key, it locks and then I unlock it and its fine again. Occasionally the phone's screen will turn white. What I've noticed as that it typically happens after the phone shuts itself off. I don't know how it turns off, and it doesn't happen often, but occasionally I'll pull my phone out of my pocket and find that it's completely off. When I turn it back on it will boot all the way to the home screen without issues and then the screen will fade to white and stay that way. Pulling the battery does not fix the issue. All it does is kill the battery more than having the screen being all white and full power. Most recently it happened while I was navigating the Store in the Amazon Kindle program. Looking around I've seen conversations stating that the screen's going bad (which I doubt), the OS needs to be reinstalled (which I attempted through the Desktop Manager and I think I did it how I'm supposed to without wiping it with a 3rd party program), or that the phone is defective. My dad got the phone in November of 2008, and I got it when he decided to get an iPhone.
BB Curve :: 8520 Screen Turns White, Then Off?
Jun 4, 2011For the past few weeks, everytime I get on the internet or listen to the media player, the screen turns white and then shuts down the phone. Once this happens, I can't turn the phone back on. I've tried taking the battery out and replacing it and it still does not turn back on. It only turns back on once it's been plugged into a charger and then shows that the battery is dead. I don't carry a charger in my back pocket and can't always plug one in if I do carry it. This is very frustrating!! 80% of the time, the battery is fully charged when the screen goes out so it's draining the battery when it does this. Is anyone else having this problem?

The red light will disappear and the screen will go white and show the black timer box thingy for a minute or so like it is about to load then the process will repeat. It's been doing this since last night. I've finally admitted its time to upgrade and have ordered a new handset but would like to boot this up even if it is only to transfer current information.

May 30, 2010I recently purchased a Nokia 5130 from a TMobile store, and since I have started using it, I noticed that whenever I activate keyguard and wait for a little bit, the phone screen turns blank and would not show anything at all (I am used to S40 and S60 phones showing a bar with the time and date, the number of unread messages and missed calls showing everytime they are on standby). However, I also noticed that whenever I unlock the keypad and the backlight shows back up, the bar is actually there before it fades away and returns back to the home screen. Could it be that the screen is actually turning itself off whenever it's on keyguard standby?

May 30, 20123 days ago i was using my phone like normal when i got a white sceen, ive tried pulling the battery but it just goes straight back to the white screen. Does anybody have any idea on how to fix this? Bear in mind i cant connect to Blackberry Software Desktop because for some reason it wont recognise my device, i want to state the phone hasnt been dropped and hasnt been near any water, it just randonly went white.
