My iphone shuts off randomly even though it is fully charged. It then will not turn back on unless it is plugged into a power outlet. Is it the operating system or is the phone broken? It says I need to restore which I have already and I also have updated.

when I plug my phone in to charge it and then I turn it off, it turns off, then immediately turns back on.

I got my Nexus 5 on the 2nd of this month. I'm on Android 4.4.4. Just today, I was out and about and I realized that, although I was going into settings and turning Wi-Fi off, it just kept turning it right back on! (I had been using the Wi-Fi at the mall, then later I went to a friend's house and connected to my friend's Wi-Fi, which did not work.) So, I turned on my data, only for it to turn off after I guess about 30 seconds. I turned it back on, went on WhatsApp, in the middle of replying to a text from my friend it goes off yet again! What the... So, I went into settings and turned data on, and Wi-Fi off. As I watched, the Wi-Fi switched itself back on, and, predictably, even though there were no wireless networks to connect to, my data turned off as well.
This is really inconvenient. What could be causing the problem? I don't think I've downloaded any apps recently, but they do sometimes update. It was working fine on Thursday, but I've had my data off since then. I also booted into Safe Mode, and the problem doesn't seem to persist.
I had a contract with Vodafone over 2 years ago and decided on the BlackBerry Storm 9500 handset . After 6 Months of receiving the phone it developed a fault, i have returned it for repairs on a number of occasions and the reoccurring problem has never been solved & fixed . After eighteen months the phone will still not turn on and when it does work it turns off within one hour of it working, i have been to the Vodafone shop in Torquay South Devon and they supplied me with a new battery to try but it still switches itself off . I ave talked to Vodafone and i was told a fault has been found on this particular model of handset. After 24 months of having this contract phone i have now upgraded to a BlackBerry Torch . I would like to return the 9500 handset to get a free full repair or a replacement as i now need to use both phones. This phone has also had problems with freezing and locking up
View 1 Replies View RelatedIs it possible to disable all the telephony functions of the Xperia Ray and still be able to listen to FM radio ? (to improve battery life)
"Plane mode" is unfortunately not an option as it doesn't allow listening to the radio... (whereas it allows you to connect yourself to a Wi-fi network or to receive GPS signals, for instance) Would be great if there was a widget "Enable/Disable GSM networks" or something like that, as there is for other functions... but I couldn't find such a thing.
I am pretty sure other 3GS users have noticed this before but the is my 1st time ever having a problem with the phone. The battery has almost treated me well and still is. I don't know if this is an issue or not.
So I woke up this morning and I keep my 3GS plugged in over night everyday connected to my MacBook pro and my mbp never goes to sleep so the phone stays getting a charge. I woke up this morning and it was at 98% or 97%. First time ever doing this. Is there a reason for that? I'd appreciat it if someone had an answer. 5 minutes later after using it while still plugged in the charge went back up to 100%

Have just purchased "Phone to Mac" to try get easier access to photos and tunes on my phone, but even that doesn't recognise that my iPhone is plugged in (directly from the usb on my mac).

This just started happening about two weeks ago. I would plug it in at night like I normally do, and the icon would show that it's connected but not charging. Also, every once and a while a message will pop up and say the device does not support the accessory even though it's the charger it came with.

I have a black iPhone 4S that will only turn on if it is plugged into either the mains or the computer. After reading various forums on the net I came to the conclusion that it was either the battery or the dock connector, so I replaced them both! After replacing both the dock connector port and the battery the same problem is still occurring.

iPhone 5 won't turn on unless plugged in. Then when plugged in goes onto the charging screen, then tries to turn on and the apple start up logo appears, then repeats. Is 14 months old.

I plugged in my ip4 last night a couple hours before going to bed, and noticed that it was up to 100% when I went to bed. I woke up and, still plugged in, was at 97%...?Is this normal by any means? I mean, I know my MBP which I always have plugged in will drop charge while plugged in to such %'s (97,98,99).however my ip4 has never done this before.

When I plug in my iPhone 3GS, I think it syncs to iTunes but it doesn't show up in the application sidebar like it used to. I just recently upgraded to Snow Leopard. I have not had to chance to get Lion and it might be a while. I'm on a school network, so I don't want to set up iCloud. I just want the events that I add while on my MacBook iCal to be transferred to my iPhone iCal. This transfer is not being made for some reason and I need to see these events while on the go.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy iPhone 4 started messing up, so I restored it, now the battery DOESN'T charge but only shows that it's plugged in. I don't have a warranty anymore, so replacing the phone isn't an option. Is the battery having problems.or is it the dock connector? I would assume it's the battery because even unplugged it restarts, but the dock connector could be broken also right? Well I don't really know what the dock connector does, but I just was asking basically
