Oct 8, 2012I have a problem with my Lumia 610. Everything worked fine until the earphones stopped working even though they're connected. I'm sure it's not them causing the problem because I've tested the phone with other earphones and it wouldn't recognise them as well. When something is played the sound simply comes from the speaker. The FM radio also doesn't work and shows information that earphones are not connected.

I don't want another pair of them, I'm looking for an alternative set of in-ear earphones with a mic. Can anyone suggest something that has been tested with an N900? I bought a pair of Klipsch S2m earphones which had been suggested, but they don't work, they make a strange and loud clicking noise, so it seems the N900 is sensitive about which earphones/headsets work.Ideally I'm after earphones that have a cable, so I can use them on an aeroplane. Don't mind if they are Bluetooth too, as long as wired use is possible. I don't mind if special buttons don't work, as long as the audio and mic work correctly.Can anyone suggest anything that has been proven to work in practice?

The device simply doesn't always react on the pressed key. I sometimes need to press the middle button on the Purity few times for the song to Pause or Resume. The sound still comes through the phone speaker.his can be sorted with a factory reset or briefly removing the battery. When operating ok the little headphone icon appears at the top of the screen and headphones sound great. But it does not remain operational!I found that the fault appears whenever I put plug the phone in for a charge with the phone switched off (as recommended). Last night I repeatedly switched the phone on whilst it was charging and checked the phone with headphones about every hour about 4 times and it worked every time. Jul 17, 2010I bought this phone specifically for listening to music, however it has a fatal flaw for me.I plug in the Nokia supplied earphones with or without the remote control, or standard earphones of any kind and the radio picks up stations and MP3's play beautifully.For 30 seconds.
Then the earphones disconnect or the radio stops playing and tells me to connect the wired headset, though it has not been disconnected or even budged on the table.I then stop the MP3 player or radio. Still not unplugging the earphones, and they miraculously reconnect again..I have just tested it and this happens with phone calls as well.I have updated the firmware to 10.01 and everything else works fine, just this disconnecting problem.

May 6, 2011I'm stuck in the 80s with a corded phone again. It works fine if it's plugged in. But when I unplug it and try to use it, a white screen will flash and then it turns off completely. It automatically tries to reboot, but fails on most occasions. I have to hard reboot to get it to work again and still have to have it plugged in. Anyone have ideas on how to get this to work??

Apr 17, 2010My sons Nokia was recently repaired under an insurance claim for water damage. After approx 2 weeks of recieving the phone back from the insurers the phone starting bhaving eratically - not allowing him to play music, showing the phone was charging when it wasnt plugged in. Well before i had chance to do anything about this the phone is now completly unresponsive, it turns on and off but when it is on none of the keys work, the touchpad doesnt work when you slide the screen up and down it does nothing. Does anyone know if this is something likely to be linked to the repair or if it is likely to be a seperate problem with the handset (possibly covered under warrenty) and just a coincednce?

Apr 8, 2012For some strange reason, when I listened to a podcast using the Music app through the Apple earphones with remote on my iPhone 4, the right side has no sound. However, when I pull the earphone plug out one notch, I get sound from both sides, but the remote controls no longer work. At that point, I was sure I had a hardware problem, but where it lay-- earphones or iPhone 4, I didn't know.
1. For my first step, I tried the earphones with another iPhone 4, and got the exact same results. That convinced me that it was a problem with the earphones, but then I tried them on our iPad and they worked fine!
2. That ruled out the earphones and got me wondering if both iPhone 4's earphone jacks were flakey or misbehaving.I had read about the old fuzz in the jack problem, so I used an air blower to clean it out, but it made no difference. I still figured that maybe both jacks were stressed in some way, although two of them?
3. Then I read that some people found different apps worked--and even specifically that running Skype could solve things. That didn't work. However, it led me to try various streaming apps (e.g., Portal to the Universe, NPR) and everything was fine-- sound from both sides and remote controls fully functional.
At that point, I was convinced there was something odd going on with the Music app.
4. Finally, it occurred to me to try other podcasts-- and even other episodes of the particular podcast. They all worked fine.
