View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I unplug my Galaxy Note 5, it constantly beeps at me and says "Not Charging". Obviously it's not because it's not plugged in but I've tried restarting it, turning it off for a while and letting it sit and it still does this. It's really annoying and I don't know why it's doing this. A message pops up on the screen for a split second, but I cannot read it for it disappears really quickly and I can't even get a screen shot of it. What's happening?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI just had a quick question about the S5 when you put earphones in the earphone jack. The notification bar pops up with "earphones connected" and then when you swipe down, you see a section of quick apps you can select to use your headphones with. I primarily use my headphones with Google Play Music, which is not one of the option, and I have it automatically bring up the app with Automaker as it is. I was curious if there was a way to disable that bar of app options that comes up on the notification panel. I didn't have it on my Galaxy S3, and I would actually prefer if it wasn't there.

I've always seemed to have had problems with my Galaxy phones when connecting them to a PC and considered going to another phone before I upgraded to my S6.
This is a problem that has happened with my S2/S3/S6 with both different leads and different computers. Connecting it to update or transfer music, files etc. can take a while as it keeps disconnecting all the time.
I'm not a fan of iPhones but my girlfriend never seems to have a problem when connecting hers to this and other computers.
If the phone is plugged in and the screen is turned on (like when a notificaation comes in) the screen won't time out. It dims, but never shuts off. I have to shut it off manually.

View 1 Replies View RelatedIf I leave it plugged in for a time the phone gets really hot, the red notification light blinks. Is it telling me it's overheating or what?
View 8 Replies View RelatedWhen I woke up in the morning today,  I noticed that my Xperia Z3 Dual only shows the led in red (constant, not blinking) when I plug in to charge. I cant power on pressing the Power button, cant even restart using Power + Volume buttons. I also tried the recovery procedure from PC Companion, power off then Volume and power on, connect to PC and autodetect... nothing works.

I have the phone since march 2015, only 3 months; all was perfect before this big issue: no software problems, battery duration was excellent (at least 1 full day), camera ok, both sim's detected and configured without issues, also no problems when wet my phonet.
I purchase s6 edge mobile and i when I contact charger then heating the phone.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a new S5 and notice when I plug in headphones the notification sounds are still audible from the phone speaker. I had an S3 and S4 and I'm certain when I plugged my headphones in the ringtones, etc were no longer audible. The were heard on the headphones along with the music or whatever I was listening to. Why this may be happening?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI think I saw somewhere that it could damage the battery to keep it plugged in while fully charged.
Is this true? SHould one really not let it charge overnight?
Since the update to v21.2.045 my N97 will "beep" and when I look at it I see the "Charging" screen and then the battery levels are scrolling as if the phone is charging. This is happening when the phone is not plugged into a PC or wall. THe only way to stop it is to turn the phone off and restart it.

I have a really bad problem with my Galaxy S5. My S4 was fine until I updated to Lollipop, so I think that's the problem.
I'm playing music with headphones plugged in, Whatsapp notification sound plays through speakers.
That's fine.
BUT suddenly during notification, the music ALSO plays through the speakers for a few seconds! This is really frustrating because I receive messages throughout the day and don't want everyone around me to be disturbed with what I'm listening to (in library, on bus, etc.).
Nothing I try works.
Before Lollipop, Whatsapp notification would play on speakers and audio still through headphones. That was fine.
I just got a 8530 from work and the second I plug it into my pc by the USB cord, it shuts the phone off and the red led comes on. Then the white spinning clocks comes on and then back to the red led and keeps resetting. It does this on both curves we just purchased for work. Same PC works without a hitch for a 9550 and a 9630 same usb cord. As soon as I remove the usb cord from the curves, they boot up fine. Any help would be nice.
View 14 Replies View RelatedSo, I plugged my phone into my PC. I opened the Windows Phone App for Desktop and the phone asked for me to enter my password. I entered the password and it went to the home screen, then shut down. It sat dark for a second then showed the AT&T Logo, and then went black again. It's been about an hour, and if the battery were dead it should have already shown the battery symbol. I tried powering it on,
View 1 Replies View RelatedI was having some issues with my SD CARD (it had to be scanned for errors constantly) so I eventually took it out. About the same time the Phone started to randomly reboot itself over and over until I plugged it in. To be more clear it got stuck in a reboot cycle where it would start to boot and then shut off and then start to boot and then shut off. The only thing I could do to stop it would be to plug it in.
Steps taken:
Took out SD Card
Factory reset
Carrier: AT&T
Windows Phone 8.1 update
When the battery is full or plugged in I can't reproduce the issue, but when it's lower then 60% or so, I can repro the issue by changing between apps or selecting airplane mode and then switching the wifi on. Basic multitasking appears to set it off.
So I think something on my USB port has malfunctioned... it won't show up in the device manager when I plug it in.I have tried the sticky thread on Diagnosing USB Driver and ADB issues in Windows. I have searched the forums and internet and tried lots of driver installs and restart this and that.
Recently this started when I wanted to flash Android 6.0 to my phone. During the install with NRT after each erase and flash it would say Waiting for device, and the only way I would get it to proceed was to plug the USB and plug it back in... Now running Android 6.0 it won`t even recognize my device and won`t pop up the menu to choose your usb connection setting.I have two Nexus 7, one Nexus 7 (2013), and another Nexus 5... and they all work fine and get recognized by the computer.
Can I surf with web while this phone is plugged in and charging?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI got a defy at September, and since then it's about the 3rd time that I plug in my phone at the end of the day, I go to sleep, and when I wake up the phones battery is still at the same percent as it was, and the battery and the back of the phone is really (I mean REALLY) hot. When I take off the charger and put it back, it starts to charge.
