The earphone controls on my N97 mini do not function. If I want to increase/decrease the volume or change track the controls on the earphone do not respond; instead I need to use the phone in order to the operations. I can listen to music without problems.
I have a Sony Xperia Pro running Android 2.3.4.When I plug another earphone that`s not the one within the phone box, the phone doesnt recognize it.I`d tried the earphones in my computer and it works.
use this functionality in my X10 mini.I have installed handscent sms and find that I cannot use the speech to text function--says "recogniser not present". Is there something to be downloaded for this to work?

I have a problem with my Lumia 610. Everything worked fine until the earphones stopped working even though they're connected. I'm sure it's not them causing the problem because I've tested the phone with other earphones and it wouldn't recognise them as well. When something is played the sound simply comes from the speaker. The FM radio also doesn't work and shows information that earphones are not connected.
The WH-205 earphones that came with my N900 have died; there is an internal break and it has lost sound to one ear. I don't want another pair of them, I'm looking for an alternative set of in-ear earphones with a mic. Can anyone suggest something that has been tested with an N900? I bought a pair of Klipsch S2m earphones which had been suggested, but they don't work, they make a strange and loud clicking noise, so it seems the N900 is sensitive about which earphones/headsets work.Ideally I'm after earphones that have a cable, so I can use them on an aeroplane. Don't mind if they are Bluetooth too, as long as wired use is possible. I don't mind if special buttons don't work, as long as the audio and mic work correctly. Can anyone suggest anything that has been proven to work in practice?
I must be missing something, the headset (earphones) supplied with my X6 are absurdly short. If I want to listen to music I have to hold the phone next to my head. Any further away and the wire will pull out of my ears it is that short. In comparison to my ipod earphones (which aren't exactly long) the nokia ones are a 3rd the length. I also have some little square clip on player. The manual makes absolutely no reference to this so I can only assume it is a bluetooth player, though I don't know whether this needs batteries, or where the on button is for that matter. For something that is marketed as a music phone Nokia have done a fine job in making this the least practical mp3 player ever created. Can someone please explain to me why the headset is so short that it is redundant and what this mystery square device is. Says on the back ModelBH-214.
I just bought new 5800 mobile phone and I wonder whether I got the correct earphones with it.My supplied earphones model is WH-205.Does Nokia sell some versions of the 5800 packed with that model ?
I've been having some issues with the controls on the In-Ear Earphones with both the Nokia's Original Earphones and the Monster Purity. The device simply doesn't always react on the pressed key. I sometimes need to press the middle button on the Purity few times for the song to Pause or Resume. Same issues I experienced with the Original Nokia's Earphone. I've been using several Nokia Lumia 800 devices and I experienced same issue on all of them.
If the x10 mini has a auto reject function anywhere or any apps to download, been receiving nuisance calls at all times of the day and would really like to stop receiving them.
I bought this phone specifically for listening to music, however it has a fatal flaw for me.I plug in the Nokia supplied earphones with or without the remote control, or standard earphones of any kind and the radio picks up stations and MP3's play beautifully. For 30 seconds.
Then the earphones disconnect or the radio stops playing and tells me to connect the wired headset, though it has not been disconnected or even budged on the table.I then stop the MP3 player or radio. Still not unplugging the earphones, and they miraculously reconnect again..I have just tested it and this happens with phone calls as well.I have updated the firmware to 10.01 and everything else works fine, just this disconnecting problem.
A few days ago my message had lost and I wanted to restore back.My friend suggested me to use the restore function but after it complete, my files such as photo and contact and even new message had all lost. How can I recover back all of my files or undo the restore and make it back to the phone just like before I did my restoration.

i am new user, and just buyed 2-3 days back a new nokia 5530 xpress music, and i am not happy with it, the main problems are 1) earphone problems - the earphones are not good i mean i got the white color earphone still the sound in it is so bad that no bass in it, simple voice with low sound, also buyed a new earphone but same problem. i hate that 2) music player- well the music is very low as compared to samsung corby pro. this is xpress music but has not much sound where else samsung corby pro has more and better sound than us wat the hell. 3) battery problem- well the battery life as told music can be played upto 27 hrs, and talktime 4 hrs, and standby time, huh ( ALL FAKE). i yesterday rechraged my xpress music fully at around 4 pm, and i dint listen to any music, was just msging my friends and talk to someone for around 30 mins and then was just msging and msging and i stoped at around 12 am night, i saw my battery and its almost down i was shocked and suprise that battery only worked for around 8-9 hrs wat the hell grrrrrrrrrr. at 1 am the battery was at 1 point i mean i am so disappointed i felt like kicking the phone out my balcony. and ya when i recharge my battery it recharges in almost 20-25 mins that too full charge i mean i dont understand y is it happening like that
The music controls on my N8's earphones have suddenly stopped responding when playing music. Actually, ALL the keys aren't working, Volume, answer call and forth. Tried changing the settings under Accessory settings without any luck.Really frustrating to have to unlock your phone just to skip a song.
I am unable to change songs in the music player by simply pressing the button in the earphones provided with nokia 6700 slide. To change the current song, i have to goto the now playing song in the music player and then press the next button.

I am looking to get a phone with SIP function.I am thinking either E66 or E71.When I turn the wifi on and with the SIP registered. How long can the battery last?Which model last longer?
I switch my E72 phone off for the night. In the morning the alarm rings, and I like the snooze function, I snooze several times (5 minutes). However, every now and then, the phone will not ring after a few snoozes, but will remain silent (and I get late).Usually does it after 25 minutes (5 snoozes),I cannot switch the phone on - I have to take out the battery, and put it back. Then it will immediately ring - usually shows the last snooze time, but of course I will have to set the time.It has been to the service, but this problem has remaind, but it is very annoying, usually it is very important not to be late!
I've a Nokia 5230 since a week. I knew it has no wifi when I bought it. For some use, it would be nice to have wifi function (free hotspot without France per exemple), so I'm looking for solutions on Web. I've found an application "bluetooth-wlan-convert" (!!!) but I can't install it on my 5230 to test it (not compatible). I also have seen a microSD card with wlan function but it seems to work only on Windows CE or Linux based smartphones (http://www.chipchick.com /2006/09/spectecs_micros.html). If the price was acceptable, do you think if it could be use on Symbian based phones with an appropriate application ? Do you know other way for having wifi function on phone without wifi?
I've just changed my N79 for an N86. my N79 had a useful search function in the main menu, which enabled me to search through the phone for particular files etc.As far as i was aware, the N86 also had this, as i noticed it on a couple of internet reviews. However, it's not on the phone.i thought it might be in applications> office or in tools, but it's not there. Does anyone know why and if you can download it?
I have been used Nokia phone for several years, and my current used phone is Nokia N97.I ever to know when will Nokia Symbian change the message function into conversation style like iPhone or others. Will N97 firmware update to v31.xxx and change the message function?
I bought a Nokia 87 (not mini) from the internet about 2 months ago. The Gps/Maps application freezes after a few seconds and I cannot exit the application. I've done all sorts of resets on the phone, removed maps and re-installed them - to no avail.
