Nokia :: 5310 Earphones Work For 30 Seconds Then Disconnects
Jul 17, 2010
I bought this phone specifically for listening to music, however it has a fatal flaw for me.I plug in the Nokia supplied earphones with or without the remote control, or standard earphones of any kind and the radio picks up stations and MP3's play beautifully. For 30 seconds.
Then the earphones disconnect or the radio stops playing and tells me to connect the wired headset, though it has not been disconnected or even budged on the table.I then stop the MP3 player or radio. Still not unplugging the earphones, and they miraculously reconnect again..I have just tested it and this happens with phone calls as well.I have updated the firmware to 10.01 and everything else works fine, just this disconnecting problem.
I have a Nokia 5310 and my external volume (+) button does not seem to be working at all. When I popped the keys off, it looks like the button isn't even connected. I have no idea how this happened - the phone is brand new. Is there a way to go through the phone settings to change the volume or is the only option the external volume controls?
i have a big problem with my Nokia 5310 Express Music. My memory card has disappeared .I can't see her when i connect my phone via usb to pc , i can't see her when i am on the phone. It seems the problem is from my phone , cuz when i tried to put other mem card to my phone , it doesn't work again , and when i put my card to other phone ( nokia ) it worked successful. Many times i tried to solve the problem with reinstall the software of my phone , but with no result. So i will be greatful someone can help me for this problem.
I have xperia z2 running android 4.4.2 1 kitkat and I want to know if taking almost 6 seconds of time is a normal thing for my device to recognize earphones connection. things I did already that haven't worked: restarted the device, boot to safe (takes the same time duration), used different earbuds and headphones, wiped the headphone jack...
I have a problem with my Lumia 610. Everything worked fine until the earphones stopped working even though they're connected. I'm sure it's not them causing the problem because I've tested the phone with other earphones and it wouldn't recognise them as well. When something is played the sound simply comes from the speaker. The FM radio also doesn't work and shows information that earphones are not connected.
I'm having trouble with the phone disconnecting from the car once the phone has docked. The signal bars gradually fall away and the car asks if you want to re-connect. The manufacturers information (jaguar) states that the phone is compatible, but gives the version as 2.1. My phone is running 2.2.2, after updating a couple of months ago. My old Nokia 6300 connects every time and I can upload the contacts to the car's display.
The WH-205 earphones that came with my N900 have died; there is an internal break and it has lost sound to one ear. I don't want another pair of them, I'm looking for an alternative set of in-ear earphones with a mic. Can anyone suggest something that has been tested with an N900? I bought a pair of Klipsch S2m earphones which had been suggested, but they don't work, they make a strange and loud clicking noise, so it seems the N900 is sensitive about which earphones/headsets work.Ideally I'm after earphones that have a cable, so I can use them on an aeroplane. Don't mind if they are Bluetooth too, as long as wired use is possible. I don't mind if special buttons don't work, as long as the audio and mic work correctly. Can anyone suggest anything that has been proven to work in practice?
I've been having some issues with the controls on the In-Ear Earphones with both the Nokia's Original Earphones and the Monster Purity. The device simply doesn't always react on the pressed key. I sometimes need to press the middle button on the Purity few times for the song to Pause or Resume. Same issues I experienced with the Original Nokia's Earphone. I've been using several Nokia Lumia 800 devices and I experienced same issue on all of them.
Got the HTC Sensation XE with Virgin recently and love it. But I have a problem. When I plug in any headphones(earphones) it does not work. The sound still comes through the phone speaker.his can be sorted with a factory reset or briefly removing the battery. When operating ok the little headphone icon appears at the top of the screen and headphones sound great. But it does not remain operational!I found that the fault appears whenever I put plug the phone in for a charge with the phone switched off (as recommended). Last night I repeatedly switched the phone on whilst it was charging and checked the phone with headphones about every hour about 4 times and it worked every time. I began to think that the factory reset had fixed the problem In the morning the problem is there again have checked that the software is up to date manually in the normal way ie Settings/Aboutphone/Software UpdatesBy the way have also noticed that at the time the headphones are not working the USB connection is also non-operational
Have just got my new X6 and its great except that i am having problems with my connection to my bluetooth car kit. It connects fine and has paired with it but it seems to disconnecting every 25 seconds or so and then reconnecting 25 seconds later. Its driving me bananas cos each time it does it the radio cuts out. If i am on a call it seems to keep connection. I fell i may have missed a setting somewhere but cant find anything about this.
I was using my phone this afternoon (5310 xpressmusic) after finishing my conversation after pushing the end button my screen went black. Any ideas on how to get it back? the phone still works I can receive and make calls I just can't see any thing. I have tried turning it off and on, removing the battery and waiting before replacing.

I bought this Nokia 5310 Xpress Music. Few months after buying the games started crashing. i.e. when I go to the games folder, the phone restarts. Though once when my brother sent me an application that got saved in the games folder via bluetooth. I could open the folder for about 5 sec, before it again crashed.

I recently purchased a Nokia 5310 Xpress Music about a week ago. It is a great phone, but the problem I am experiencing has to with the memory card. When I try to format it, I select "Options" while "Memory Card" is highlighted but I do not have the option of formatting it. Is there something wrong with my phone? Currently, my phone is V 06.68, which I am assuming is the latest version, since I have the Nokia Ovi Suite installed, and when I select "Update", it says I have the latest version.
I have a problem setting my call barring on the 5310. According to 5310 manual, the default access code for call barring is 12345. The problem is the input field only has 4 spaces for numbers so it fails to activate because I can only enter 1234. BTW, I haven't set any of my own security codes yet. From searching the web I have found people have have this issue with this phone and the access codes. They were given various codes to try, but the matter was not resolved. None of them work. Could someone please tell me what the default access code is for the 5310?
The earphone controls on my N97 mini do not function. If I want to increase/decrease the volume or change track the controls on the earphone do not respond; instead I need to use the phone in order to the operations. I can listen to music without problems.
I wonder if anyone can help me. I am using the nokia 5310 and even though I am using a sim card with all my names stored in it, when I get a call or a text from someone who is in my phonebook it still just shows up as a number.
Also the names are not in order in my phone book.I am using this phone in Canada, and I got it from Ireland so the time on my incoming messages is 5 hours behind. So many issues!!
I must be missing something, the headset (earphones) supplied with my X6 are absurdly short. If I want to listen to music I have to hold the phone next to my head. Any further away and the wire will pull out of my ears it is that short. In comparison to my ipod earphones (which aren't exactly long) the nokia ones are a 3rd the length. I also have some little square clip on player. The manual makes absolutely no reference to this so I can only assume it is a bluetooth player, though I don't know whether this needs batteries, or where the on button is for that matter. For something that is marketed as a music phone Nokia have done a fine job in making this the least practical mp3 player ever created. Can someone please explain to me why the headset is so short that it is redundant and what this mystery square device is. Says on the back ModelBH-214.
i am new user, and just buyed 2-3 days back a new nokia 5530 xpress music, and i am not happy with it, the main problems are 1) earphone problems - the earphones are not good i mean i got the white color earphone still the sound in it is so bad that no bass in it, simple voice with low sound, also buyed a new earphone but same problem. i hate that 2) music player- well the music is very low as compared to samsung corby pro. this is xpress music but has not much sound where else samsung corby pro has more and better sound than us wat the hell. 3) battery problem- well the battery life as told music can be played upto 27 hrs, and talktime 4 hrs, and standby time, huh ( ALL FAKE). i yesterday rechraged my xpress music fully at around 4 pm, and i dint listen to any music, was just msging my friends and talk to someone for around 30 mins and then was just msging and msging and i stoped at around 12 am night, i saw my battery and its almost down i was shocked and suprise that battery only worked for around 8-9 hrs wat the hell grrrrrrrrrr. at 1 am the battery was at 1 point i mean i am so disappointed i felt like kicking the phone out my balcony. and ya when i recharge my battery it recharges in almost 20-25 mins that too full charge i mean i dont understand y is it happening like that
The music controls on my N8's earphones have suddenly stopped responding when playing music. Actually, ALL the keys aren't working, Volume, answer call and forth. Tried changing the settings under Accessory settings without any luck.Really frustrating to have to unlock your phone just to skip a song.
I am unable to change songs in the music player by simply pressing the button in the earphones provided with nokia 6700 slide. To change the current song, i have to goto the now playing song in the music player and then press the next button.
