Motorola Defy :: Bluetooth Disconnects From Car After Few Seconds
Nov 10, 2011
I'm having trouble with the phone disconnecting from the car once the phone has docked. The signal bars gradually fall away and the car asks if you want to re-connect. The manufacturers information (jaguar) states that the phone is compatible, but gives the version as 2.1. My phone is running 2.2.2, after updating a couple of months ago. My old Nokia 6300 connects every time and I can upload the contacts to the car's display.
Bluetooth connects but whe trying to make a call or answering a call, the bluetooth keeps making a noise and disconnects. Reset buetooth but still don't work. battery is fully charged.
My defy screen just lights up then goes off after about 10 seconds, as if it is waking up to recieve a message/txt/call but then realises nothing incoming and goes back to sleep?
I just got a Blueant V1 bluetooth headset and everytime the milestone sleeps [screen auto goes off] my bluetooth will disconnect shortly after that. If I keep the screen on the connection seems fine. I don't see a setting that causes bluetooth to go off when on sleep like WIFI does so what's the problem here and how can I fix it?
My Droil Pro last week worked fine with Sync and Blue Tooth. Then it started to disconnect. After connecting to Sync, in a about 15 seconds it will suddenly disconnect from Sync The Blue Tooth is still connected and it will stream music from my phone to Sync with no problems but the phone will not stay connected.
I am having problems with random and frequent disconnects with the Atrix 4G when on Bluetooth while connected in a car. Initially my setup was using a Motorola Roadster and while playing audio I would randomly not get sound, then shortly after I would get the message that the phone was no longer connected to the Roadster.Usually it would eventually reconnect, sometimes almost immediately after. This would happen sometimes as often as every few minutes, while other times it could play a half hour or more before encountering the problem.
Initially I was unsure whether it was the Atrix itself or the Roadster, but after having recently purchased a Ford F-150 with SYNC bluetooth connect, I am encountering the exact same behavior with random disconnects. Unfortunately with the Ford SYNC, I never get it to automatically reconnect, and I must go into the phone, turn bluetooth off and back on, then manually reconnect from the phone. Most of the time I have the Atrix connected through the Motorola Car Dock, but I think the same behavior has occurred out of the dock.I have never noticed this same behavior with other bluetooth devices I have - Jawbone Icon, Monster iClarity speaker. I don't know if I have enough data to tell definitively or not, but I think I have only observed this when the auto was in motion.
I bought this phone specifically for listening to music, however it has a fatal flaw for me.I plug in the Nokia supplied earphones with or without the remote control, or standard earphones of any kind and the radio picks up stations and MP3's play beautifully. For 30 seconds.
Then the earphones disconnect or the radio stops playing and tells me to connect the wired headset, though it has not been disconnected or even budged on the table.I then stop the MP3 player or radio. Still not unplugging the earphones, and they miraculously reconnect again..I have just tested it and this happens with phone calls as well.I have updated the firmware to 10.01 and everything else works fine, just this disconnecting problem.
I read one discussion that was discussing the problem of the bt EF isconnecting/connecting when a call ended. The problem I am experiencing is the same, except my EF is doing this during calls. Any idea what can be done to resolve this?
Have just got my new X6 and its great except that i am having problems with my connection to my bluetooth car kit. It connects fine and has paired with it but it seems to disconnecting every 25 seconds or so and then reconnecting 25 seconds later. Its driving me bananas cos each time it does it the radio cuts out. If i am on a call it seems to keep connection. I fell i may have missed a setting somewhere but cant find anything about this.
I have a Defy+.....I am able to receive filed using blue tooth but not been able to figure out how to send files....after i pair my phone with another device and select whichever file i want 2 send i only get the options move delete etc....no "send via Bluetooth"..
I have a motorola defy mb525 android v.2.2.2 I use sandisk class 4 memory card with it but I face the following issues 1.can't receive files via bluetooth error says storage issue 2.some pictures become corrupt I have checked my memory card in other phones its working fine I also checked the memory card that I received with my phone even in that I can't receive files via bluetooth, don't Know the details of this momory card since nothing writen on it.
I have a querry. I am not able to switch on the bluetooth in my motorola defy.I have 2.2.2 froyo version of android. As I am not using much bluetooth I was unaware of its not working status.I dont have any idea since when bluetooth is not working in my phone.I probably guess it may have happened because i may have killed some application which resulted in deletion of bluetooth related core files. Also, In My Defy the bottom four buttons( Options, Home , Return , Search ), the return button shows no background light but the other 3 shows background light when it is under low light condition. Is it intentionally provided like this or this is a problem in my defy.
I know how to transfer picture from my photo album using bluetooth.but how do I transfer a song from my playlist to another phone through bluetooth?I tried to used "Media Share" widget to transfer song through bluetooth, but it does not allow the transfer of song, it only allows the transfer of ringtones...
I'm having problems sending photos via Bluetooth. The laptop and Motorola can connect, but I'am unable to send or receive a file. It did work with my previous phone. Also with my desktop computer (with bleutooth stick) I'm having the same problem. - Defy plus- Android-version: 2.3.5- System: 45.0.1250.MB526Do I have my settings wrong or does anyone have the same problem?
I'm trying to connect my defy to my car's inbuilt hands free bluetooth but it doesn't seem to. I turn bluetooth on and make it discoverable and then scan for device but nothing happens.
My phone automatically connects through Bluetooth to my 2012 Lexus and works just fine. However, contacts will not transfer. Is there a setting on the phone I need to change?
I received a new bluetooth for Christmas to go with my Defy with Motoblur (a canadian phone) and the Voice Dialler sucks plus the bluetooth instructions are just as bad.It say to refer to your phone's usual manual. So, I would like to know how I can make a call from my bluetooth handsfree using the phone.Based on an older phone I could add a voice tag to each contact and then use that on the bluetooth. This phone doesn't seem to have that option.(It all seems to work fine if I am dialling directly from the phone once the ringing starts. But this is all pointeless as far as I am concerned. How can you be handsfree when your hands are required?)
The phone is running on the Android version 1.5 since Motorola didn't come out with an update on my phone and getting a new one isn't an option.Maybe there is an app in the market place that might work. (I can't even use Google Play because the phone version was not updated)
I own a Mercedes 2008 E350 with ViseeO MB2 bluetooth adaptor. I can pair and connect my wife's Samsung Galaxy phone and use the Mercedes hands free system to make and receive phone calls. However my Defy pairs Ok but does not connect continuously. It will occasionally connect when I force it but it only stays connected for a few seconds. The Defy is running 2.2OS. The MB2 supplier in Australia and manufacturer in Taiwan both state that the MB2 has been previously tested with a Defy and works OK.
When I receive a call on my BlackBerry Torch 9800, the Bluetooth connection with my car (Mercedes E class) sometimes crashes and I end up fiddling with the phone to try to retrieve the call. It only does this sometimes and the connection was perfectly OK with other phones. Making calls and downloading the address book all work fine.
Since the last update, my phone disconnects from my car bluetooth after everycall. Â When i get in the car it connects as it should but after a call is received or made it disconnects? Â As i mentioned it worked before the last update.
iphone 5 ios 7.1.2 bluetooth disconnects from headset when receiving or making a call. Happens on multiple headsets. Tried turning bluetooth off and on, re pairing, phone reset with no improvement. Any way to revert to previous ios version?
I just upgrades from a Curve 8330 to the Storm 2 9550. I paired it with my car and it constantly connects then dis connects with the factory hands free. This makes it difficult to answer calls and I drop calls in the middle. The curve worked fine with my car so it's not the car.
I'm using Xperia Play & having disconnection problems with BOTH Sony Ericsson HBH-DS220 & MW600. Initially I thought it was HBH-DS220 not playing nice with Android, so I bought MW600 Last Saturday, but sadly Problem persists.Problem Description: Simply put, I'd be lucky to finish a phone call over the bluetooth headset without it dropping connection. The MW600 would still display the telephone number, while in fact no sound is coming or going through, and then it takes a few seconds for the "Bluetooth" toggle button on the phone call UI to disappear. Whenever that happens, I'll have to frantically yank off the earbud, take out the phone, and start appologising to the other person for missing the last few seconds of conversation. It would also sometimes lose connection when I'm playing games, the sound would stop coming in from the game, then the game will freeze for a second or two, and suddenly the sound would start coming out from the the built in loud speakers and give everyboy else a heart attack.i'm using stock firmware, never rooted/unlocked:
Model number: R800i Kernel: 2.6.32.9-perf SEMCUser@SEMChost #1 Build Number: 4.0.2.A.0.58
EDIT: On another note, after posting this, I found I have put my email as the displayed username... (I already have an account over at blog.sonymobile, and over there, username means email address. So I put my email address when I log on here, the button says something like "create account"... yes, its a bit weird, yet plausible since I was thinking you're confirming my email before proceeding onto anothe create account screen. There was no warning THAT username is the one going to be displayed.)
I know this has been working before, and I really need to connect my iPad via Bluetooth to my iPhone so that I can then use the Wireless via my iPhone. Unfortunately, every time I connect to the iPhone via Bluetooth the WiFi on the iPhone disconnects.
I'm loving my lumia 800, but this bluetooth problem is driving me crazy! The handset pairs fine with the head unit in my c class Merc, I can make and receive calls and text messages, but it continually disconnect the bluetooth as though the phone is powering bluetooth off and then powering it back up and reconnecting. This sometimes happens every 30-40 seconds other days it can be ever 3-5 minutes. The head unit works fine with my blackberry, htc desire and a mates iphone so I know that's not at fault. I've tried deleting the pairing and restoring my phone prior to the update but all to no avail.
