I'm having problems sending photos via Bluetooth. The laptop and Motorola can connect, but I'am unable to send or receive a file. It did work with my previous phone. Also with my desktop computer (with bleutooth stick) I'm having the same problem. - Defy plus- Android-version: 2.3.5- System: 45.0.1250.MB526Do I have my settings wrong or does anyone have the same problem?
I have just used the Email app that came with my Defy to send a message for the first time. The only trouble is that it didn't send. It is sat in the outbox not actually doing anything. what I can do about it to try and get it to send it? I just don't see much in the way of options.
I have looked at the settings for the different email accounts I have and that particular one all the settings for incoming and outgoing servers are correct and just the same as they are in outlook on my computer.
I noticed there was a duplicate of a video file in my phone and I can't get rid of it.I already got the original file off phone but the duplicate is still there. I can't play the file and when I click on the file the delete option is grayed out. I looked in the memory card and there is no file there but the phone still says its there. How do I get rid of it?
I have android MB525 and i have a question need an answerhow to send a file to other phones via blue tooth,i can receive files only?is it must to use 3rd party application for sending files via bluetooth?

I am running 2.1 and my phone ringer stopped working a few days. No changes to the phone, or new application, or physical damage. The symptom is incoming calls vibrate, but don't ring. If I check the ringtone by selecting a different tone, it plays Ok. Volume is fine also, set for independent control for incoming volume and phone ring. I have tried power cycling, removing the battery, checking my settings, and calling from different numbers (different ring tones).
For some reason my Droid Razr cannot receive an mp3 through MMS if it is over 54 seconds in length. Anything under 54 seconds comes through no problem.
some background. I am a paramedic and we are paged from a central dispatch. When this page goes out we have software that will record it and send it via MMS to our phones.as a secondary paging for some reason if it is over 54 seconds in length I will get the txt but not the file. This goes the same if it is emailed to me. It is not just my phone my co worker has a Droid Razr also and has same problem. other co workers with casio, LG and other phones get them with no problem so I have concluded it is Motorola that has put this in. Spent long times with Verizon and Motorola supports with no success (dont think they understand what I mean)
I took an mp3 and started cutting it back second by second until I was able to recieve it this is how I know 54 seconds is the magic length. also the file is only 500k so well under the size limit.
now to make things a bit more compicated. If I connect to the computer and d/l the file to my phone it will work. I can even txt said file back to myself and recieve it but if I txt it to my phone from computer again it will not let me have the file.
I have a Defy+.....I am able to receive filed using blue tooth but not been able to figure out how to send files....after i pair my phone with another device and select whichever file i want 2 send i only get the options move delete etc....no "send via Bluetooth"..
I have a motorola defy mb525 android v.2.2.2 I use sandisk class 4 memory card with it but I face the following issues 1.can't receive files via bluetooth error says storage issue 2.some pictures become corrupt I have checked my memory card in other phones its working fine I also checked the memory card that I received with my phone even in that I can't receive files via bluetooth, don't Know the details of this momory card since nothing writen on it.
I have a querry. I am not able to switch on the bluetooth in my motorola defy.I have 2.2.2 froyo version of android. As I am not using much bluetooth I was unaware of its not working status.I dont have any idea since when bluetooth is not working in my phone.I probably guess it may have happened because i may have killed some application which resulted in deletion of bluetooth related core files. Also, In My Defy the bottom four buttons( Options, Home , Return , Search ), the return button shows no background light but the other 3 shows background light when it is under low light condition. Is it intentionally provided like this or this is a problem in my defy.
I'm having trouble with the phone disconnecting from the car once the phone has docked. The signal bars gradually fall away and the car asks if you want to re-connect. The manufacturers information (jaguar) states that the phone is compatible, but gives the version as 2.1. My phone is running 2.2.2, after updating a couple of months ago. My old Nokia 6300 connects every time and I can upload the contacts to the car's display.
I know how to transfer picture from my photo album using bluetooth.but how do I transfer a song from my playlist to another phone through bluetooth?I tried to used "Media Share" widget to transfer song through bluetooth, but it does not allow the transfer of song, it only allows the transfer of ringtones...
I received a new bluetooth for Christmas to go with my Defy with Motoblur (a canadian phone) and the Voice Dialler sucks plus the bluetooth instructions are just as bad.It say to refer to your phone's usual manual. So, I would like to know how I can make a call from my bluetooth handsfree using the phone.Based on an older phone I could add a voice tag to each contact and then use that on the bluetooth. This phone doesn't seem to have that option.(It all seems to work fine if I am dialling directly from the phone once the ringing starts. But this is all pointeless as far as I am concerned. How can you be handsfree when your hands are required?)
The phone is running on the Android version 1.5 since Motorola didn't come out with an update on my phone and getting a new one isn't an option.Maybe there is an app in the market place that might work. (I can't even use Google Play because the phone version was not updated)
I own a Mercedes 2008 E350 with ViseeO MB2 bluetooth adaptor. I can pair and connect my wife's Samsung Galaxy phone and use the Mercedes hands free system to make and receive phone calls. However my Defy pairs Ok but does not connect continuously. It will occasionally connect when I force it but it only stays connected for a few seconds. The Defy is running 2.2OS. The MB2 supplier in Australia and manufacturer in Taiwan both state that the MB2 has been previously tested with a Defy and works OK.
I just upgraded to lollipop on my turbo. Overall, I like it quite a bit. However, I noticed this morning that when my phone connects via Bluetooth to my car, it no longer displaying the contact photos on the car display. It was working fine immediately before the installation.
I have a Nokia 5800 XM. I am not able to receive any file via Bluetooth if that file is not openable by Nokia. ie., if I receive a jpg or mp3 file, it receives fine, and when I open it from Messages, it tries to open it, and then I save it from the Message to the Gallery. But when I try to receive some other type of files which is not supported by the mobile, it receives the message, but it fails to open the bluetooth message and as a result, I am not able to save it to the Mass Memory. It says Un supported files. Say for instance, I am trying to receive a docx (Microsoft Word) file, then I face this problem. Is there any way to save the file directly to any folder in memory without trying to open the received message?Had it been some protected files like .SIS or .SISX then I would agree, but It's bad if I am not able to receive general files.
Does anyone know how to either set up a local adhoc network connection or a Bluetooth conection between a RAZR and a DROIDX to facilitate file transfers between phones? I tried Bluettoth - the devices are paired but will not connect..
My phone has multiple resets ad the direction of Motorola, and has been in for a circuit board replacement. Now the screen still freezes and the reception is hopeless.I am sure this handset is a lemon. It is still under warranty, 11 months old.
setting up auto-fetching applies to all email accounts. I swear on my 2.1 Spice XT300, the auto-retrieval was by email address (and also the smallest interval between fetches was 5 minutes, not 15 like on the Defy). I have never used 2.1 on the Defy; mine was original 2.2.1.
I updated to Froyo via Motorola website but it hasn't worked. My phone still shows firmware 2.1.1. Tried to update again via Motorola website but it now tells me that there are no updates for my phone.....I presume that it somehow detects that my phone previously downloaded froyo update.
My Defy is denied application on the market with no reason that I understand. Some apps are not visible from the phone, and are said "non compatible" from the market website. Sometime the website talks of country restriction while they should not be.
I have had my defy now for a few months, and I have been pretty happy with it (babyproof smartphone!)Unfortunately, its becoming more and more unreliable, and am having to reboot it regularly. This weekend is the worst. Here are some of the things it is doing:
all apps keep freezing and crashing (no fancy apps, mostly use it for twitter, facebook etc).phone keeps freezing and being unresponsible on the home screen keep getting an 'emergency calls only' notification, which then clears straight away when i go into notifications.mms photos - both sent and received take up to 5 days to be visible. until then they are just flagged as 'downloading'. I'm pretty sure it shouldn't take 5 days to download a 27kb file. After rebooting, I did have a gmail widget require a forced close immediately. I was never using that widget anyway, and couldn't see it, so I uninstalled it. Now on rebooting I have to force close Google Services Framework. I have decided that looks reasonably important and useful and have declined to uninstall that so far.
I have a my Defy & XT and as of 9:22 am the weather widget hasn't udated and I've turned the phone off and on etc and then I deleted my location and tried to readd it and it said something like.. location information cannot be found (not sure off hand).. I don't know what to do but it won't let me add any loactions but apps from the market work.
I have got myself the new bold 9900 and I really like it. However, I am not able to attach FIles and Videos while sending emails; I only get 2 options when I press the attach button while I am compising emails which are pictures and contacts. I also have a friend of mine who gets the attach file option on his emails.
I have tried everything, from rebooting the device, to wiping out the memory, to uninstalling the software completely but my problem remained.
I do get a long list of options while I am sending a text or BBM message.
