I noticed there was a duplicate of a video file in my phone and I can't get rid of it.
I already got the original file off phone but the duplicate is still there. I can't play the file and when I click on the file the delete option is grayed out. I looked in the memory card and there is no file there but the phone still says its there.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have just returned from the Sprint store where they reset my Photon and synced with my old phone after I couldn't get rid of my duplicate contacts. I looked in the store and my phone had single recordings of the contacts, for a total of around 600. I came home, signed in and synced with GMail which only has 3 contacts and was trying to figure out how to send my phone contacts to Gmail. I'm not sure what I did but I suddenly have 1200 contacts on my phone and onl,y 3 contacts in Gmail.

I also don't see a progress indicator on the Nav so I tapped OK and synced again. All my contacts were synced, but now they're in the Nav twice. How do I delete the duplicates? View 8 Replies View RelatedI took a video today indoors with bright natural light and noticed for the first time that the picture was a little unstable and tended to jump every few seconds. I hadn't noticed it before because it's very quick - blink and you'll miss it - but sure enough I saw it in a video I took a week ago as well (also indoors but not as bright and it seemed less jumpy).
Anyone notice the jerkiness as well? I wonder if it's a hardware or software issue.
I am running 2.1 and my phone ringer stopped working a few days. No changes to the phone, or new application, or physical damage. The symptom is incoming calls vibrate, but don't ring. If I check the ringtone by selecting a different tone, it plays Ok. Volume is fine also, set for independent control for incoming volume and phone ring. I have tried power cycling, removing the battery, checking my settings, and calling from different numbers (different ring tones).

View 13 Replies View RelatedI had recently purchased my first Android device, a Moto Defy+. This is not a carrier locked phone.
I use my gmail contacts as the default address book and when i signed up for Moto blur account, it somehow made a backup of all my gmail contacts on motoblur. Now, i can see the same contact details twice for every address book entry. During the backup process, motoblur deleted the leading zeros from all phone numbers. Even though gmail is my default address book, the phone picks up motoblur stored info while making calls - due to which I am now unable to make long distance calls from my phone unless i manually go and edit/delete the phone numbers from the motoblur section on the address book. needless to say, this is very irritating as i have over a 1000 contacts.
How do i delete all my contacts from the motoblur section? i do not really use the motoblur account for anything and if deleting the motoblur account is a solution, i'll be happy to do that. however, i do not want to do a factory setting restore.

1.)Unable to turn on data connections.(resolved after hard reset)
2.)Battery drains quickly.
3.)Heats up rapidly.
4.)Freezes often.
5.)No 720p video recording.
6.)Will reboot often if connected to PC.
i bought a motorola defy (manufactured on 2011.04) and when i rec video with 640*480 resolution. the video always jumpy and constantly drop frames. i bring back the defy to the t-mobile and ask a replacement and get a new defy (manufactured 2011.04 too) but this one doing the same. i doing factory reset, bought a new memory card (class 6 8bg a-data), but the same happening. video always jumpy and drop frames. recording with cif resolution all fine, not a single frame drop. only when using vga resolution... maybe software bug? both defy have 2.51 cee eclair stock rom and green lens camera. sample video here: [url]. i don't see the encoding artifacts on my computer or the phone so maybe the Internet conversion making that, but i wonder why always there an artifact when the picture jumping and frame drops...
View 2 Replies View RelatedSo I've had this phone for about 5,6 months with different problems over the course of my time with the phone.Was wondering if anyone has had the same problems and if there are any solutions. So first, sometimes my phone will randomly delete contacts from my phone and place them in the "hidden" folder. I haven't hidden them, but I've gotten text from people and be unsure who it is,but then find out it is someone that I know and who has been in my phone.Also, since my contacts are synced with facebook,it will randomly delete the FB picture to my contact so instead of it showing their default picture on facebook in my contacts, it just shows the blank face. In the past it has deleted the picture and will eventually come back after a coule of days or weeks but currently it has deleted multiple of my contacts pictures and has yet to come back. I dont know if I am accidentally hitting something or if there is a way to prevent this but it is aggravating. Also, sometimes if I go to send a text message, say for instance to Sally Sue,I'll click Sally Sue, send the text but then in my messaging folder it does not show the name "Sally Sue" nor does it show their picture, but just the phone number alone as if I texted someone who was not inputed in my contact list.It eventually goes back to showing the name but it still annoying nonetheless.The last issue is with the gps sattelite that will not shut off and for whatever reason prevents me to use facebook on my phone.I've read that this has been an issue with others in the past and tried some of the suggestions people offered.I have uninstalled FB, reinstalled in, callibrated my phone, taken out the battery, turn on/off, etc and nothing works.Under settings in the securty tab, it is always checked next to GPS Satellites on. I will uncheck it, but it never stays that way, it will always go back to being checked and I can never use my FB app as it will open for like 2 seconds then cut out.

The files play fine on the computer. I tried small ( 8mg ) files but no difference. I use the stock media player w/ flash player which has worked great for everything up till now. OS is 2.3.6.

I know there was an iTunes 9.2 issue with iToner but I've never had that plug-in and it's certainly not present at the moment. I've tired syncing both with notes and without notes. The proplem persists. Interestingly when I turn off syncing photos my sync is fine.When I sync photos from the 'Pictures' folder (I'm a Mac user) it syncs fine.However as soon as I opt to sync ANY project from Aperture the sync fails claiming there is a dupicate file name.

I have several MP4 encoded movie files that played perfectly with my DX but won't play with the default Video Player app on my DX2. It gives me the error: File cannot be displayed or played.MoboPlayer, a third party video player, will play the files fine. QuickPic's player will not. Nor will the bundled app RockPlayer Lite.I reformatted the SD card within the DX2 (it was the same 16 GB card that I took from my DX) before I transferred any video files to it.Anyone have any ideas about what I can try? I would rather use the default Video Player app.Also, the playback using MoboPlayer seems a bit choppy. I was expecting much smoother playback on the DX2 with it's dual core processor and improved graphics accelerator hardware.
