As Defy has no front facing camera is there anyway that we can make a video call? Even if its only somenoe seeing us and we not seeing them? What software would I need to use to achieve this.

When I tried to play it I got ann error message that said "This file cannot be displayed or played". If it is too large a file for the phones video player does anyone know of an app that I could play or edit it with?
View 8 Replies View RelatedI took a video today indoors with bright natural light and noticed for the first time that the picture was a little unstable and tended to jump every few seconds. I hadn't noticed it before because it's very quick - blink and you'll miss it - but sure enough I saw it in a video I took a week ago as well (also indoors but not as bright and it seemed less jumpy).
Anyone notice the jerkiness as well? I wonder if it's a hardware or software issue.
Cant answer calls, cause answerring buttons are disappeared. I not see 'answer' & 'ignore' buttons on incoming calls screen

I already got the original file off phone but the duplicate is still there. I can't play the file and when I click on the file the delete option is grayed out. I looked in the memory card and there is no file there but the phone still says its there.
i just bought a motorola defy plus upgraded it to android 2.3.6 and i have a real problem here.... when i call a friend or anyone else i can hear my voice repeated after just like an echo (feals like im talking in a tunnel) however this only occurs with gsm calls through the handset if im using the hand free there is no echo also if im doing an internet call through skype or viber i dont hear this echo

I get a few words in then it cuts out and I have to ring again and it does the same thing. This is the first smartphone I bought. Previously I used a bog standard Nokia. Very reliable. No problems. Clear calls. Never cut-out. Now I pay 20 times as much for a "smart" phone and the most basic and important job - making calls - it has trouble with.

View 3 Replies View Relatedthis week i updated my defy with froyo through local service center Nothing seems to be fine in Froyo!Here some of my issues list after update to froyo
1.)Unable to turn on data connections.(resolved after hard reset)
2.)Battery drains quickly.
3.)Heats up rapidly.
4.)Freezes often.
5.)No 720p video recording.
6.)Will reboot often if connected to PC.
When i go to recent calls in the calling menu instead of saying what time the call was made or recieved it simply says roughly how long ago it was made.. this is annoying.
View 6 Replies View Relatedi bought a motorola defy (manufactured on 2011.04) and when i rec video with 640*480 resolution. the video always jumpy and constantly drop frames. i bring back the defy to the t-mobile and ask a replacement and get a new defy (manufactured 2011.04 too) but this one doing the same. i doing factory reset, bought a new memory card (class 6 8bg a-data), but the same happening. video always jumpy and drop frames. recording with cif resolution all fine, not a single frame drop. only when using vga resolution... maybe software bug? both defy have 2.51 cee eclair stock rom and green lens camera. sample video here: [url]. i don't see the encoding artifacts on my computer or the phone so maybe the Internet conversion making that, but i wonder why always there an artifact when the picture jumping and frame drops...

I take a lot of pictures and videos on my droid bionic and would like to be able to wirelessly send those files to my computer to edit, send to friends, and send to websites. I know I can do a lot from the phone, but would really like to be able to do some things from my computer too. I think that would make the zumocast product complete if it was a two way product.

I swear on my 2.1 Spice XT300, the auto-retrieval was by email address (and also the smallest interval between fetches was 5 minutes, not 15 like on the Defy). I have never used 2.1 on the Defy; mine was original 2.2.1.

Tried to update again via Motorola website but it now tells me that there are no updates for my phone.....I presume that it somehow detects that my phone previously downloaded froyo update.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have had my defy now for a few months, and I have been pretty happy with it (babyproof smartphone!)Unfortunately, its becoming more and more unreliable, and am having to reboot it regularly.This weekend is the worst. Here are some of the things it is doing:
all apps keep freezing and crashing (no fancy apps, mostly use it for twitter, facebook etc).phone keeps freezing and being unresponsible on the home screen keep getting an 'emergency calls only' notification, which then clears straight away when i go into notifications.mms photos - both sent and received take up to 5 days to be visible. until then they are just flagged as 'downloading'. I'm pretty sure it shouldn't take 5 days to download a 27kb file.After rebooting, I did have a gmail widget require a forced close immediately. I was never using that widget anyway, and couldn't see it, so I uninstalled it. Now on rebooting I have to force close Google Services Framework. I have decided that looks reasonably important and useful and have declined to uninstall that so far.
I have a my Defy & XT and as of 9:22 am the weather widget hasn't udated and I've turned the phone off and on etc and then I deleted my location and tried to readd it and it said something like.. location information cannot be found (not sure off hand).. I don't know what to do but it won't let me add any loactions but apps from the market work.

Vignetting is a pretty powerful tool that can help isolate subjects and seems to be a bit of an oversight on Nokia's part to leave it out, considering how good the cams are and the editors have often a good amount of adjustments that save me from running to Lightroom or Silver Efex Pro all the time.
Does anyone know if I can download Greek language for Spiro? It's weird that I don't find this option in downloads, as this model is also in the Greek market with a Greek menu.
