Lumia 920 is one week old, great phone. But don't see how to save a video received in a text message to the phone and eventually to skydrive. User manual downloaded from Nokia (107 pages!) says an attachment to a text message can be saved by touching "..." and then 'save to phone' but "..." and no other options appear when tapping the video or the enclosing text message. That user interface does work for photo images received in a text message but not for videos.
where text messages are stored by default on the Motorola Defy with Motoblur?
It was purchased SIM-free in June 2011 and has been running with an Orange UK SIM until 2 days ago when I switched it over to GiffGaff.
I wanted to try to preserve some text messages, but not sure if they are on the old SIM or in phone/SD memory.
I did have to perform a reset on swapping the SIM in order to re-authenticate the Motoblur account. If the messages are in the phone memory, will the reset actually over-write, or can they be retrieved with forensic software (I'm basically competent in use of forensic software).
I realise this is an old thread however, I have just got a Motorola Defy and have found this ability seems to be missing as well.I've never had a phone where you can't insert a CR & use it a reasonable amount. Is there any chance this feature can be added?
How do you resend them? Sometimes in conversations, a message shows a red "X" which I assume indicates it wasn't sent - I can't figure out how to resend the same message again, or check the status why it didn't send.
How to save a pic sent to me via SMS using the stock Marshmallow messaging app? I'm not sure if it's related to the actual messaging app or related to the app that views the pic once you've tapped on it. I.E the Media Player, Google's Photo's or MOTO's Gallery app.
I received a text message with a picture (ya know, one of those possibly WBMP format ones). After 15 minutes now, I'm still shocked to have found no way to save that picture. Nokia has made my life miserable within one month. (This was my first Nokia phone ever.) I find no consistency anywhere. Any basic thing takes enormous number of key presses or is not present at all.How can I save the picture I received in the text? There's no such option in the message menus.
After I was offered and updated to 2.3.6 I can not use data connection anymore. Also APN settings are not being saved and disappear. The customer support is silent on the subject for several days already. The Internet seems to be full of complaints from Germany users
I've sent or received a lot of pictures in text messages that I have not actually saved on to my phone. I know syncing your phone and making a backup will save your actual text messages, but will it also save those pictures in the text messages, or will those be erased? I dont want to restore my phone and lose those pictures.
A friend of mine took some video of my daughter at a soccer game. She emailed it to me on my gmail account. The file is a mp4. When I tried to play it I got ann error message that said "This file cannot be displayed or played". If it is too large a file for the phones video player does anyone know of an app that I could play or edit it with?
I took a video today indoors with bright natural light and noticed for the first time that the picture was a little unstable and tended to jump every few seconds. I hadn't noticed it before because it's very quick - blink and you'll miss it - but sure enough I saw it in a video I took a week ago as well (also indoors but not as bright and it seemed less jumpy).
Anyone notice the jerkiness as well? I wonder if it's a hardware or software issue.
When trying to send a picture, taken by my blackberry torch 9800, I have no option to send it by text. I only have the option to send by email, bluetooth and facebook. how to have the send by text option available?
I cannot attach a picture to my text messages! I text a message, click on the paper clip, which takes me to my gallery, and when I select the picture…the attachment icon is gone. The only option available is “SEND”. If I hit send thinking it attaches the picture, it automatically sends the picture to my message recipient while my text message is waiting to be sent. How do I attach a picture?
I am trying to send and receive picture messages but am unable to do it. It lets me select send by text message and then looks like it is sending but then a red cross confirms message not sent? also when I recieve a message that a picture is enclosed it refers me to a web page to view it. Do I need to install something on my phone
I recently had a voice memo sent to me in a text message and some reason when i press save video, I dont have a clue where the voice memo actually goes and this is frustrating because I want to keep that memo and it would have alot of time in having to scroll through my text messages to get to that memo..
