Oct 25, 2011How can I set my Nokia Astound to save the text messages I receive to the sim card and not to the phone? (or if this is not possible is it possible to SD card).

Feb 4, 2012I did the Anna update on my Astound, From information gathered on some forums, it did not install right. It has issues that it did not have before. Since Belle looks to be released in February, I am guessing that a phone not working correctly after Anna, probably should not take a chance on Belle?, In other words, An Anna update did not install correctly, there is no option to reinstall. That would make it very probable that Belle would not be able to correct that? or install itself properly? Doesn't a later update require a previous update to install correctly? I have been told that only Nokia can reflash my phone back to original, I live in the US, it looks like that would be unable to accomplish. I would have to buy another phone just to have this one shipped off.

Dec 24, 2011format for videos an movies to play on a C7 Astound? I looked at tech specs under codecs, this was listed: H.264/AVC; MPEG-4/H.263; 3GPP; WMV; Real Video; Streaming. I thought I read that some WMV is not supported. I just need a format that will work dependably.

Jan 1, 2012I updated my Astound 2 or 3 weeks back, ran fine until 3 or 4 days ago. If I am on a call, another call coming in will lock the phone up. It ends up killing both calls. 2 or 3 times the phone ends up restarting and I have to wait for it to finish. the screen goes dark, the notification light and red and green lights are lit, but none of the 3 buttons will work. I did the update thru nokia on the software update notification, not thru t-mobile. Is it possible this could cause a conflict of the device on the t-mobile network? Is it possible to roll back the update to the original software the phone started with?

User manual downloaded from Nokia (107 pages!) says an attachment to a text message can be saved by touching "..." and then 'save to phone' but "..." and no other options appear when tapping the video or the enclosing text message. That user interface does work for photo images received in a text message but not for videos.

I know syncing your phone and making a backup will save your actual text messages, but will it also save those pictures in the text messages, or will those be erased? Feb 27, 2012I have an E71x. It has a BUNCH of issues, but my main problem now is I was saving my text messages to my installed memory card. The card became full. I took the card out to get some audio files and other stuff off it to make more room. Well, at some point the phone said the memory card was missing and it would use the internal memory. Now I can't get it to use the memory card again. I see no way to put it back to that. I think the only option I got was to "Copy" messages to the memory card. But I don't want to do that.
I need to save as much stuff as I can off the phone, then reset or restore the phone to the factory settings, or just re-install everything. (this Symbian OS and Nokias poor support of it are for the birds...)But, how do I get the phone to save messages to my memory card again?

Oct 27, 2011I'm NOKIA C6-00 users, use it heavily on MESSAGES MANAGEMENT (SMS - GATEWAY) for communicating with customers.How can I change NUMBER-ID to CONTACT-ID after I SAVE-CONTACT the MESSAGE from that one person.( I save the MESSAGES number and given the name : Mr.David , but when i look back, the MESSAGES still shows his number not contact-id. The NEXT messages from him work normally, shown his contact-id : Mr.David )
