I am posting a strange problem suddenly discovered in my C7-00 a few weeks ago. When I send a SMS at the end of the text wrote by me the system appends another message already sent to other contacts. I tried to update the software downloading the Nokia Belle but there were no improvements; I also tried to re-update the software but no news came form that operations.

I have restored my phone back to factory settings (Settings/Phone/Phone MGMT/Factory Settings), but still the problem persists.

At the moment it gets up to about 2000 texts and then I have to delete them either one by one or the entire inbox at once. I have the sent messages set to hold only 100 texts but cannot work out how to do this with my inbox.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI do get a system error message when starting the maps app. I know that this is not a new topic but I did not find after intensive search a solution.
-Firmware is updated
-soft reset done
-it seems that the app is not installed
-have deleted the cities folder and the qf file
Unfortunately no change maps app does not start. Not sure that this is important but I want to mention this for the sake of completeness.
-the maps did work once
-when I started them the next day and I was at a different location it still showed the location of the
previous evening abnd did not recognize where the phone was
-after some time I could not start the the maps app.
i got a new 701 for 3 days now. im realy satisfied. i just came across a problemi do not have any new messages but still, the sign flashes ..i deleted all the messages, checked all missed calls, checked all emails, rebooted phone X times
View 7 Replies View RelatedWhen I try to forward a text message to more than 10 people by using the contacts menu to select the recipients, the message changes from text message to multimedia message.
Since, I do not have a subscription for multimedia messages with my service provider, the message remains in the outbox and never gets sent.
Can someone advice why the text message converts to multimedia message? How to prevent this from happening everytime I send/forward text message to more than 10 people from the contacts list?
When I browse web by using wifi on my E72, on finishing it crash with messege SYSTEM ERROR.
View 8 Replies View RelatedSo my N79 is refusing to let me send text messages on the grounds that "Text Message: Not enough memory to perform operation. Please delete some data first". So I went through and got rid of a heap of stuff - songs, videos the kinda things that are big files, and still no change.
My phone memory has 368kb free and my memory card has 3734 mb of free memory.Was working perfectly fine yesterday with more data and my phone stores about 1000 messages pretty easily, several videos, songs etc..
I downloaded a couple of apps from Sony Ericsson's web site including a game that I used to play on my Sony Ericsson Z520a phone previoulsy, called "Quadrapop." It's a free Java application, and there was a version specific to the Satio, which is also an S60 5 edition phone, just like the 5800 which I am trying to install on.
When I try installing it, I get a message, "Certificate error" followed by something to the effect of, "contact supplier" I have been able to install some other Satio Java apps on my 5800, but not Quadrapop. Is there anything I can do do get around this issue?

Whenever I restart my phone - C6-00, I get a message, "System Error" several times. Then I need to press "Ok". After that it seems working fine.
And sometimes I am not able to install applications like maps, etc.
I have Nokia C3-00.I want to know how can i disable the conversation in messages.Its just occupying a lot ot memory bcz I have aroung 3000messages in both inbox and sent items.So,I want to just clear up the conversation folder and keep the rest messages in inbox and conversation.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have literally taken my brand new C6 handset out of its box a couple of hours ago, and the message icon was blinking although there are no messages at all in the phone.I have tried a factory reset and updating the phone software, but to no avail. The message icon is still blinking.This is now the second Nokia handset I have had with software problems (previous handset 5800 XM). After 10 years of only using Nokia handsets, I am going off them rapidly!

Even though I have deleted the text message and I've tried everything to try and get it to go away. Today I have a Blackberry Messenger Message that won't delete as well. Does anyone else have this problem and figure out a way to refresh and get ride of it? I've tried turning the device on and off a few times but doesn't fix the issue.

View 1 Replies View RelatedJust today my Nokia C6-00 is hanging a lot...I didn't install any third party updates or packages.longback I installed few apps from ovi store and they were working fine..From today, don't know what happened, when I switch on my phone , it hangs for around 15 minutes. It's really unbearable when I wanted to switch to a different sim card in emergency...When the phone starts, it is just hanging.At first it shows : system error Then when I press ok, its gone and now the phone becomes unresponsive..When I press and hold the menu key, it shows different apps being loaded...First clock gets loaded and its gone.then contacts...then something called securewidget installer comes and it stays for 5 mins or so...then again fsmailserver comes and this one really stays so long that irritates me a lot...I tried to restore factory settings, it worked 2 or 3 times, but again then phone hangs when I restart it...

View 3 Replies View RelatedHis text message gets interrupted halfway through by an old message he sent before (be it a previous message from a few minutes ago or from weeks ago!) It only happens with texts from him, no-one else. I've tried deleting our conversation but it makes no difference. It's getting so frustrating cos I have to keep asking him to text me again and a lot of the time I just get another 'cracked' text!

I do see the display indicators for this in the top right of the phone but for some reason the text detail when a new text event happens seems to have disappeared. but i don't have this problem with missed call or new e-mail. i didn't have this kind of problem till today and i also didn't change theme or something else...i also tried a soft reset and nothing changed.

It is set to play a sound (message 1), and i've had it for months it used to beep normally but now it doesn't anymore. and the phone is not on silent. It doesn't show the new message icon either. Only way I know I've got a new message is by going into the messages screen and seeing the red inbox sign.
